Miniature Longhaired Dachshunds

Puppy D/B (4 0) Unfortunately, none of these puppies were very happy either on the table or when moving around the ring. It is possible that the noisy hall and cold may have contributed to this.

1st Tubb’s Westwillow Sweat Pea, a Cream Bitch of 8 months. Overall a nicely balanced puppy, with enough maturity for her age. She has a lovely head with good bite and ear set and good dark pigmentation of the eyes and nose. A nice reach of neck into ok fair shoulders. I would have liked a little longer rib and shorter loin. She has good ground clearance and used her sufficiently angulated back legs to give enough drive. Well presented with a good coat which wasn’t overdone. I was happy to award her Best Puppy.

2nd McCathy’s Nagshall Love for Ronnie a Cream Dog of 8 months. Again a nice head on this boy, with good pigmentation and bite. A less ground clearance than 1 and for me a bit too much coat for a young dog. Fair angulation front and rear but again too short in the rib and long in the loin.

3rd McCathy’s Nagshall Love at Risk.

Special Yearling D/B (2 2)

Post Graduate D/B (1 0) 1st McCathy’s Nagshall The Odd Excuse JW A Cream Bitch of 2 years. A well balanced girl with good angulation front and rear. A lovely shaped head with good bite, dark pigmentation and just enough length of neck into a fairly well laid shoulder. A good topline both stacked and maintained on the move despite having a bit too much length of loin. Just enough ground clearance and she was presented with a lovely coat with good feathering Best of Breed.

Open D/B (1 0) 1st McCathy’s Nagshall Dyce the Ice JW a Cream Dog of nearly 3 years. Unfortunately, he wasn’t too happy on the day and didn’t move out well. He has a good head with lovely dark pigmentation. Presented with a nice coat with enough feathering Res Best of Breed.
