Miniature Wire Haired Dachshund

PG D/B (2/0) Ruse, Mrs E & Mr B. Flossfields All About Olive. A Wild Boar Bitch of 20 months. She is well balanced, compact, and of good proportions overall although slightly tall on the leg. She has a nice head with correct dark, almond shaped eyes, and a good placement of ears of the right shape and size, enough length of neck which leads into her correctly angulated and well laid shoulders. She could do with a little more prominent prosternum but has good ground clearance with enough length of keel. A good topline and underline which were maintained on movement, with a good rib to loin ratio and just enough spring to her ribs. A well laid croup and tail set with nicely shaped and parallel hindquarters with nice tight feet front and rear. She was presented in good condition with a nice wire jacket. BOB 2nd Rose Mrs B J. Merryline Martha with Rosencrantz JW. A Wild Boar Bitch of 15 months. A different type to 1 but again a nice compact bitch which presented a good silhouette when stacked but lost it on the move. She has a nice head, correct bite, fairly good eye, good ear size, shape and set which leads into a good length of neck. Okay shoulders but could have a little more of a prominent prosternum. She has correct 2 to 1 proportions, although a little deep in the chest giving a bit of a tuck up to the underline. Topline is good and the croup and tails set are okay. Hindquarters are a little over angulated and slightly cow hocked. But she was presented in good condition with a nice wire coat. RBOB

O D/B (1/0) Rose Mrs B J. Barratini Song and dance with Rosencrantz JW a 2 year old Red Pin Wire Bitch. She has a nice houndy head with good eyes, correct bite, good muzzle to skull ratio and well placed ears of a good size and shape, which lead into a fairly good length of neck with okay shoulders. She could do with a little more prominent prosternum and is another one a little longer in the leg, this does mean she has good ground clearance, the keel is a little short giving the appearance of a cut up underline, but she has a good topline and good rib to loin ratios. The croup and tail set are good, but she lacks angulation in the hindquarters.
