Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge, and my sincere appreciation to the wonderful steward, Jo, who ensured the ring was smooth running. It was a privilege to assess such a quality entry, and I was grateful for the sportsmanship and dedication shown by all exhibitors. My thanks again to everyone involved for making the appointment both enjoyable and memorable.

Puppy (6,1)

1, Miracey Miss Holly Berry - Shih Tzu 

This lovely 11 month old blew me away with her excellent breed type. Presents with a correct, well-textured coat and a balanced, compact outline. Moves out smoothly with lovely reach and drive, maintaining composure at all times. BP & RBOB

2, Shyllar Viva La Diva - Akita

Another very lovely puppy, at almost a year old she shows a lot of potential. She has a very striking head, correct broadness of muzzle & small well shaped ears. Lovely level topline with a well developed chest for her age. On the move she was a little bouncy which lost her out of the class today.

1, Konatian Love Machine - Shih Tzu 

This young male unfortunately wasn’t settled today meaning his tail wasn’t fully up. He had a nice smooth flowing gait. His neck was nicely arched which gave him correct well laid shoulders. I would like to judge him again on a day when he is more settled.

1, Chikamichi Go From Hachimantai To Sealandair (Imp Mne) - Shiba

A very bright, alert male with a pleasing expression. Displays lovely cat-like feet and a well balanced outline. Shows good side gait however, he tends to swing out slightly in front. Overall, a quality exhibit with good virtues.

2, Volgarus Cinnamon Lady - Poodle (Miniature) 

An elegant and feminine Poodle, very pretty with a moderate stop and a head well proportioned to her size. Presents with overall balance and breed style. Unfortunately, her movement was not at its soundest today.

1, Ruthdale Perfection Through Shyllar (Imp Rom) JW - Akita

An impressive exhibit, my notes simply say ‘WOW’. A truly beautiful bitch with a correct, well proportioned head, lovely angulation, and a firm, level topline. Presents a strong, clean front and excels on the move, showing reach and overall soundness. A standout in the ring. BOB. Congrats on a very well deserved Best in show.

1, Chinaskys Pixie - Xoloitzcuintle 

A very cheerful female, almond shaped eyes with an intelligent expression. Good size ears. Movement was okay.

2, Chinaskys Bum Ble Be - Xoloitzcuintle 

Another very cheerful exhibit. An athletic build with a well sprung chest, preferred the shape of 1.

1, Dippersmoor Diamante Noire At Sonspirit - Shetland Sheepdog

A very attractive female with a pretty, feminine head and a pleasing outline. She has nice angulation front and rear, presenting a balanced shape. Displays a good front and moves out well, maintaining harmony and lightness. BPIB

1, Droyales One And Only At Shadowshack JW - German Shepherd Dog

Bitch of lovely overall shape with an appealing, feminine head. A smooth, fluent mover with good extension and reach on the move. She had slightly more angulation than my 2nd, contributing to her balanced outline and easy stride. RBOB

2, Windgunn’s Zorro At Darveldown - German Shepherd Dog

A masculine male with a strong, well defined head. Covers the ground with nice strides, showing balance and purpose. Overall, a lovely male exhibiting quality and presence.

3, Truly Alula At Kimgilee - Shetland Sheepdog

1, Dippermoor In Dreams At Sonspirit - Shetland Sheepdog

A good exhibit with a light, easy action, showing herself to be a nice mover. Presents a pretty, refined head with good expression. Topline acceptable, maintaining overall balance on the move.

2, Gravelous Buszke Bocskor - Hungarian Pumi

The best mover in the class, showing effortless, clean movement with excellent rhythm and balance. Presents a nice front, though I would prefer a little more angulation to complete the picture. A quality male with his strengths.

3, Abidejack Siggy At Darveldown - German Shepherd Dog

1, Evad Lite Breeze - Shetland Sheepdog

A handsome exhibit with a lovely, full coat of excellent colour. He moves out smoothly and with ease, maintaining a steady outline and showing good coordination. Overall, he presents as a very nice, well balanced dog with pleasing breed type and presence. BOB

2, Aqualita Miss Moneypenny - Collie (Rough)

At 7½, she retains a lovely shape and balanced outline. A nice mover for her age, showing good angulation and maintaining breed dignity and soundness.

1, Convica Gold Fusion - Basenji 

A very nice female of lovely size and shape, presenting a balanced and typical outline. The best mover of the class, showing clean, effortless movement with precision.

2, Erinshore Red Robin For Ulani - Dachshund (Min Long-Haired) 

Pretty lady with a pleasing outline. She has a nice side gait with good reach and balance, complemented by nice angulation. Presents a correct coat of good texture and condition.

3, Lauralee Dreams Of Magic At Stookewood - Basset Hound

1, Convica Fast And Furious - Basenji

Litter brother to the first in Puppy; I preferred his overall shape, presenting a balanced and pleasing outline. A good mover with sound action and good angulation. A promising youngster will watch his career with interest. BP & RBOB

2, Palmik I Believe In You At Cryhavoc - Whippet

Another nice youngster of very correct size, presenting a pleasing shape with plenty of muscle. She has a very pretty head with good expression and moves well.

3, Collooney Fred Astaire (AI) - Whippet

1, Nuthouse Lucy Locket At Voorlooper - Rhodesian Ridgeback

I was very much taken to this lovely bitch, a 5 year old in lovely condition. Her stop was well defined & had a good size muzzle. Correct length of ridge, her movement was very correct and had a striking side gate. BOB

2, Boughton Back In Time - A very nice shape Greyhound 

Strongly built with a captivating silhouette. Well muscled with a well bent stifle. Unfortunately , she didn’t stride out enough today. 

3, Barleymoon Zala - (Saluki)

1, Nightwind You Can’t Stop The Beat JW - (Afghan Hound) 

This lovely 8 year old Afghan presented with an elegant presence. Despite his age, he moves with a light, floating gait. His topline remains steady on the move. His headpiece is classic, a refined, expressive face with dark, soulful eyes. He is a credit to the breed and to his handler. His calm demeanor in the ring shows his experience and makes her a pleasure to judge. A wonderful representative of the Afghan.

2. Kindeace Texas Tornado At Damai - Dachshund (Long Haired)

A well balanced Long Haired Dachshund with a pleasing outline and a steady topline. The coat is silky, complementing his elegant expression and correct ear placement. Movement is smooth and true, showing good reach and drive. A charming dog.

A 7 year old Aussie bitch with a strong, balanced outline. She shows a good head with correct expression and solid angulation front and rear. Well-muscled for her age and moves with purpose and soundness.

1, Kenwardgold Minnie Me VW - Pointer

At 10 years old, she can really move! She is extremely well muscled and holds a clean, athletic outline. Her shape is correct for the breed, and she carries herself with confidence and purpose. A remarkable veteran who still shows excellent movement and condition.

2, Lillymai Flower By Damai - Dachshund (Long haired)

At almost 14, she didn’t move as well today, but she still presents a lovely shape with classic breed type. A graceful senior.
