Hitchin & District Canine Society

Breed: Tibetan Terrier
Hitchin & District Canine Society - Open show 19th April 2025 Tibetan Terriers. I’d like to thank the committee for allowing me to have this appointment, it was a very well run show so congratulations. Another big thank you to the Tibetan exhibitors for a fabulous entry. Puppy (5,3) 1, INCALUX SHYNE A LIGHT ON NEFERTARI A very promising young bitch who impressed me with her overall balance and correctness at such a tender age. Feminine and typy, with a beautiful head, well-proportioned and true to the standard. broad skull with a kind, intelligent expression. Eyes dark, of correct shape and placement. Although on the smaller side, she is compact and square in profile, showing excellent breed type. Her topline is level, and she holds herself with confidence and poise. Shoulders are well-laid back, and she stands on good legs with neat, well-padded feet. Her movement is where she truly comes into her own — showing a free, effortless gait with an excellent drive from the rear and clean extension in front. She moves true in all directions, maintaining her outline on the move. She covers the ground with purpose, despite her age.Coat is of correct texture and well-presented. Her striking black and white markings enhance her presence without distracting from her clean lines. She should mature into a lovely example of the breed and will no doubt have a bright future in the ring. RBOB & BP 2, LYNCES DANCE INTO THE LIGHT A more mature female of quality, presenting with a very lovely shape and breed type. Well-constructed, with a balanced, square outline and a level topline held steady both standing and on the move. Bone and substance are proportionate, and she carries herself with natural elegance. she has a pleasing head with correct proportions and a kind expression. Good reach of neck, flowing cleanly into well-laid shoulders, and a firm, compact body. Tail set high and well-carried over the back. On another day, this dog could easily have placed higher, but unfortunately, she did not appear entirely settled in the ring today. She movement lacked the usual enthusiasm expected of the breed, which slightly compromised her overall presentation. 3, TAXIKI CAUSIN’ CHAOS Junior (1,1) 1, LYNCES DON’T GET ME STARTED Litter brother to 2nd in puppy, A well-grown young male of heavier build than his sibling but still retaining a pleasing shape and overall balance. He presents with a square outline and solid bone, giving the impression of strength without losing the essential elegance of the breed.Head is masculine and well-proportioned, with good dark eyes that contribute to a typical, alert expression. Skull broad, with a strong muzzle and correct dentition. Neck of moderate length leading into a firm, well-developed body for his age. A smart mover, showing positive, purposeful movement with drive from behind and reach in front. Still developing, as expected at this age, but he shows plenty of promise. Post Graduate (5,3) 1, WATERLEY MATCH MAKER FOR INCALUX A very attractive bitch with a lovely shape and pleasing overall proportions. Presents a correct square outline with a level topline and good balance throughout. She carries herself well, with elegance and a calm presence in the ring. Her head is of the correct wedge shape, well-proportioned with a clean skull and strong, balanced muzzle. Particularly notable are her beautiful dark eyes, which give the desired soft and intelligent expression so typical of the breed. She has a good length of neck, flowing smoothly into well-laid shoulders, adding to her refined appearance. Stands on nice flat, well-padded feet, contributing to her sound and steady stance. 2, INCALUX MAKING WAVES FOR NEFERTARI Another very nice female of good overall type and proportions. She presents a pleasing outline, with correct angulation and a level topline. Feminine throughout, with a lovely head and expression. Dark, expressive eyes and correct head proportions contribute to a breed-typical appearance. She has good reach of neck and stands well on neat feet, showing plenty of promise when she settles. However, her very cheeky attitude today just held her back, as she didn’t quite settle enough to show herself to full advantage. Nonetheless, she has quality in abundance and, with more focus or maturity, should come into her own in future outings. 3, LYNCES MORE THAN A DREAM Open (4,4) 1, AVANESS LIGHTS UP KUTULA A very showy female who commands attention the moment she enters the ring. She has a lovely shape, square and well-balanced, with a firm topline and excellent ring presence .Her head is a particular highlight — a beautiful wedge shape, clean and well-proportioned, enhanced by dark, expressive eyes that give her a classic Tibetan expression full of intelligence and alertness. She moves with fabulous drive and reach, maintaining her outline effortlessly on the move. Her gait is free, purposeful, and fluid, covering the ground with style and confidence. A high-quality bitch who brings together breed type, construction, and charisma. A pleasure to watch and one with a very exciting future ahead. BOB 2, KARSHOK AMRA JETSANG A stunning male who pushed hard in the line-up — a dog of undeniable quality and excellent breed type. He presents a strong, square outline with correct proportions and a solid, balanced frame. Masculine without being overdone, with a well-proportioned head and typical dark, expressive eyes. Built correctly throughout, with good bone, angulation, and a level topline. He stands with confidence and presence, clearly showing the structure and balance expected of the breed. It was very close, and he was certainly in strong contention. The only point today was that he didn’t quite stride out as freely as expected, which held him back slightly. The construction is all there, so this may simply have been a quieter day for him. 3, RIGAZE DALAI GARTOK AT TIZZYCHARM 4, ARAKI HUG MY PANDA
