Thank you for the society for inviting my to judge at the show. I had thoroughly enjoyable day. Thanks also to the stewards Hayley Osbourne & Cath Gilbert who professionally kept everything moving along.

Turners Dunmhuilig Freya almost 18 months (B)

Presents a balanced outline, with good bone. Feet compact and well arched. Skull is broad with clear stop. Eyes correct colour. Ears set well back. Clean neck. Shoulders well laid back. Straight forelegs. Nice clean free movement. Accurate in all profiles Best of Breed

Chiu’s Brankstonlee Arcturis 12 months (D)

Difficult to assess needs a little more schooling. Overall type was good. Preferred the head of one, just much broader. Ears set correctly and good eye. Movement difficult to assess but did manage to see a little - A little messy coming to. Profile movement was ok. Tail set correctly. Well turned stifle. Feet rounded and compact.

Lawrence Dunnabbey Funny Girl 22 months (B)

Best type and movement in the class. Presents as a balanced and short coupled. Broad skull. Eyes correct and ears set back. Neck moderate into well laid back shoulder, Nails could be a little shorter, but feet correct rounded and compact. Good turn of stifle.

Sharp Alliemhor Midnight Harmony 20 months (D)

Presents a little longer cast than I would like, and wasn’t presented in show condition. Skull broad enough, shoulders laid well back. Tail set correct. Good bone. Good turn of stifle. Could be a little cleaner going away. Profile movement was ok.

Lawrence Dunnabbey Step Outside 7 years (D)

Pleasing overall type, short coupled. Masculine, broad skull. Ear set back. Good eye. Good amount of bone and straight forelegs. Tail set well. Best coat. Profile movement was pleasing could be a little cleaner coming to. Nice rear angles and nice rounded feet.

Thomson Maursett Morganite For Caspellwynd 4 years (D)

Loved this dog for overall breed type. Clean outline, Masculine but elegant in appearance. Head lean with defined stop. Nice oval skull. Good eye and ears set low and close. Neck moderately long but muscular, shoulders set well back. Level topline and well ribbed up. Muscular hindquarters with well bent stifle and nice long thighs. Really pleasing on the move with the lovely free movement. In super coat. Best of Breed

Millar Yennadaon Calvay JW ShCEx OSW 6 years (D)

Won the class on accuracy of movement. Pleasing overall type intelligent expression. Pleasing head with slightly rounded skull. Well defined stop. Correctly proportioned. Eyes dark, ears set low and close to head. Neck long and well arched. Long shoulders carried well back. Elbows tight and good straight forelegs. Topline level and well sprung rib. Muscular behind with well bent stifle. Tail carried a little high but not over. Best mover true fore/aft and really nice drive from the rear. Best of Breed

Hogg Gailiech Ngalyod 4 years (D)

Just missed out on the top spot on movement today with a lot of very similar features to one just not as clean in movement and would prefer more driving action from the rear. Another of good type with pleasing head. Well defined stop and correct proportions. Eyes correct and low set ears. Parallel/symmetrical well bent stifle would just like a bit more muscle in the hindquarters to drive a little more.

Carson Bluebraes Broch Tuarach 12 months (D)

Took a while to settle but preferred his overall type in this class. Given a bit more time he will come together I am sure. Head well balanced, with good proportions. Good bone all through, with nice coat. When settled he moved will with a good drive and long stride. Stifles well bent with well let down hocks. Forelegs straight with nice tight elbows. Feet correct round and cat like. Nice dark with good dark rims. Level topline and well sprung rib. Neck clean and of good length.

Mcguffie Auristela Clark Gable 10 months (D)

Well schooled youngster presents a tad longer than I would like. Head is pleasing, nice chiselling and good proportions with broad skull. Neck length good and clean. Straight forelegs and good bone. Eyes dark with correct dark rims. Moved ok with a long stride, could be a little cleaner going away.

Wallis Lamancha Roll On Good Times 4 years (D)

Won this class on accuracy of movement, true fore/aft with a really nice drive and long stride. Head proportions pleasing, good eye and ears set correctly. Neck clean and of good length. Topline level and deep well sprung ribs. Forelegs straight and well boned, elbows close. Well bent stifle and hocks well let down. Feet correct. 

Palmer Linirgor Lady Of Cairnglen 3 years (B)

In super coat and gleaming condition, Moved really well in all profiles but couldn’t quite match the accuracy of 1. Another with a pleasing head of correct proportions but feminine with nice dark eye and matching rims. Neck clean and of good length. Shoulders laid well back. Level topline and good tail carriage. Preferred bone of 1. Forelegs straight and good feet.

Palmer Linirgor Perfect Symphony of Cairnglen 7 years (B)

Does not show her age at all, won this class on accuracy of movement, really nice profile mover with good drive. Super head of good proportions and nice eye. Neck of good length and clean. Shoulders well laid back. Forelegs straight with good amount of bone and nice tight elbows. Feet correct round and cat like, tail set on well and carried level. Topline level and well sprung rib. Super coat. Best of Breed

Wallis Bue Gemstone Katrina at Camellis 6 years (D)

Another with a good head, pleasing proportions with nice eye and well set ears. Neck of good length, and well laid back shoulder. Forelegs could be a little straighter, stood on good feet. Topline level, another in super coat. Well bent stifle, Good Tail carriage.

Nicolson Knockhalon Spooktacular of Taranstigh 21 months (D)

Won on overall balance and movement, nice and straight fore/aft and effortless. Head is pleasing square and broad on top with good flews. Eyes correct colour. Ears V shaped and carried slightly forward. Neck thick into well sloped shoulder. Forelegs straight and well boned. Long in body with nice deep chest ribs well carried back. Well bent stifle. Feet round. Tail set on low and carried correctly. Best of Breed

Nicolson Clumbus Jolly Jumper of Taranstigh (IMP DNK) 5 years (D) 

In super condition just missed out on the top spot as preferred the movement of 1. Another pleasing head that is square with the required broadness. Eyes correct and good ear set. Thick neck and good sloping shoulder. Well boned all through with good large rounded feet. Chest is deep and well sprung ribs.

Collins Raigmore Hermia Of Vabisbrae 11 months (B)

Youngster that just needs to fill her frame a little. Head is pleasing a feminine with the correct muzzle, good eye and well set ears. Feet are correct. Just needs time. Topline sloping, well turned stifle. Ribs well sprung. Moved well smooth and ground covering driving from the rear. Best of Breed

Clelland Lochellan Pure Kaos 15 months (B)

Certainly had the required merry nature that is required, good tail carriage and presented a nice compact outline in profile. Nice square muzzle with defined stop. Good eye with tight rims, Ears set on level with eyes. Muscular neck into sloping shoulder. Well boned forelegs with good compact feet. Accurate on the move in all profiles with a good drive. 

Torbett Gold Beach 12 months (B)

Just preferred the head of 1. Another with good movement and a nice driving actions. A larger dog all though but still within standard. Another with good tail action and merry. Feet correct/ Good bone. Well developed chest and well sprung rib.

Good movement with nice drive. Topline level and held on the move. Correct feet. Head pleasing with required square muzzle, good eye and ears set low. Nice sloping shoulder. Tail carriage good. Chest well developed and well sprung rib.

Burnett Mablehope Rule The World 2 years (D)

Masculine all through and a little high on leg. Incorrect bite. Pleasing on the move with good driving action, well boned. Feet correct. Presents a little longer cast than I would like.

Just what I was looking for today, fits the breed standard well. Pleasing head, correct proportions with good square muzzle. Eyes correct, ears set low. Muscular neck into sloping shoulder. Well boned all through. Presents a nice compact cubby dog, with well developed chest and well sprung ribs. Topline level Accurate mover in all profiles and lovely tail carriage. Best of Breed

Torbett Kirlinjis Muddy Puddle JW 7 years (B)

Couldn’t match 1 for overall performance and breed type today. Head is pleasing, good proportions with correct muzzle, eye and low set ears. Topline falls away at the croup which effects the overall picture on the move. Neck is muscular and good sloping shoulder. Feet correct and good amount of bone.

Mccallum Bogbairns Down The Rabs At Weemaes (IWS) 15 months (D)

Absolute cracker this dog really stood out in the class today, pushed hard for the top spot by the Sussex who I also really liked. Presents a lovely strongly built dog with the correct skull and long muzzle. Good eye with intelligent expression. Ears set low and close. Next arches and set into shoulders that slope well. Good depth of chest with nice straight forelegs. Stifle well bent. Nice big round feet. Movement snagged him the top spot today it was accurate and free and a pleasure to watch pushed hard for the top spot in the group today.

Mcgeachie Malbecmogs Lady Of The Lake At Klanhallion (Sussex) 17 months (B)

Another cracking dog if only I could have awarded 2 first places today. Super head with characteristic wide skull. Good eye and well low set ears. Neck long with a slight arch. Good shoulder sloping. Well boned. Rounded and feathered feet. True mover with correct roll.

1 - Magregor Take It All Off Levagrad (GSP)

Loved this youngster, so much to like and still just a baby at the moment. Correct head with broad skull. Ears set high with good high with a lovely intelligent expression. Good length of neck with a slight arch into sloping shoulder that is muscular. Nice straight forelegs with slight slope to pasterns. Chest is deep, well sprung rib. Well bent stifle. Compact feet that are arched and tight. Loved the movement it was as it should be smooth with an effortless stride covering the ground well.

2 - Spuffing Daiquiri At Gaolachcara (ESS)

A super little Spaniel, very happy with lots to like. Broad slightly rounded skill. With good proportions, ears set correctly and lobular. Nice eye. Neck of good length and tapers as it should towards the head. Carrying a little more weight than I would prefer at the moment, but at 10 months old plenty of growing to do. Good deep chest and elbows tight. Tight feet that are well rounded, Still a little to come on movement but still a youngster and it is all there, will tighten up with age.
