Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at this friendly and welcoming show and to the exhibitors for entering under me. Also to the Basset Hound Club of Scotland for their supported entry and continued support and encouragement. 


Basset Hound Junior (3,1)

1st Diheath Cracker 

(Miss D Melbourne & Miss J Murray)

9 month old tri male, Nice head with clean eyes giving a lovely expression. Correct length of ear and nice length of neck. Well balanced front and rear angulation allowing him to cover the ground easily. Ribs well sprung and carrying well back giving him a good length but keeping a relatively short loin. RBOB & BPIB


2nd Lockolea Sweet Like Honey

(Mrs K & Ms C Freudenreich)

7 month old tri female. Nice feminine head with a gentle dignified expression, clean eyes and complete scissor bite. Correct ear length and a nice length of neck. Good front and rear angulation with well sprung ribs reaching well back. She was a bit unsettled on the move but was enjoying her day out


Basset Hound Post Graduate (1,0)

1st Diheath Chekov JW

(Miss D Melbourne & Miss J Murray)

2 year old red and white male. A nice masculine head with correct length of ears and clear eyes. Correct scissor bite and a good length of neck. Well made front assembly with shoulders well laid back. Ribs well sprung and reaching well back. Balanced rear angulation with correct tail set. Movement unfortunately today let him down 


Basset Hound Open (1,0)

1st Lockolea Rocket Man

5 year old red and white male. A very noble and dignified expression from this hound with good head planes and lovely clean eyes. Correct ear length with a nice fold giving a lovely overall head. Good length of neck into well laid back shoulders. Front and rear angulation very nicely balanced. Ribs well sprung and reaching well back giving a nice length and balance to the hound. Shown in lovely condition and moved very freely around the ring with ample reach and drive. BOB
