Puppy (2,1)

1st - BRAMLEY, HOLDSTOCK, FRETWELL & MARKIN - CALLAISCROFT ESPRIT DE VIE FOR AMICOFEDELE NAF

I loved this puppy. As soon as he walked in, he made me smile. He gave his handler a hard time throughout, but this is what being a puppy is all about. He presented as strong and well off for bone and muscle, and presented a well-balanced picture. masculine head of good proportions and lovely cheeky expression, powerful neck of correct length, body just off square with deep brisket and well sprung ribs. Good angulation fore and aft, which, when he wasn’t bouncing, he showed on the move. I preferred his shape and substance to that of my open winner. BOB & BP.

1st - BELL WHITGUN RENEGADE MASTER AT OWLSPOINT JW ShCEx

3 year old male, masculine throughout with good bone and muscle, handsome head with good head proportions, standing on straight forelegs, good depth and width to chest, slightly longer in loin than I’d prefer, good bedn of stifle and wel let down hocks, moved well, but certainly needs a bigger ring to show off his stride, he was a little restrained in such a small ring.

Puppy (4,1)

1st - BROWN & BURNS - MAGREGOR FOUR LETTER WORD FOR POTHOUSE

6 month old male, who is very eye-catching, he is masculine with good substance for his age. He has the most delightful head, clean cut and with the nasal bone rising gradually (this is missing in a lot), clean neck leading into good shoulder placement, standing on straight front good depth to chest, ribs still need to spring but this will come, powerful hindquarters which he used to drive around the small ring, he held his topline and tail as he moved. BP.

2nd - ADAMS - KEIGAME MYSTIQUE AURORA

A compact bitch feminine throughout, pretty headed with lovely expression, clean neck and shoulders, well sprung ribs, well ribbed up and good depth from withers to brisket, strong topline, ample bone and muscle. Another that didn’t cope well with small ring, she just couldn’t get into stride.

3rd - BROWN & BURNS - MAGREGOR SUPER NUDE AROUND POTHOUSE

Junior (2,0)

Two bitches in this class that I have judged previously and my opinions of them have not changed, they just keep on getting better and better with age.

1st - SIELSKI - ORCHIDSTAR TICK TOK

Feminine with a clean outline and a girl that just owns the ring, she is handled to advantage, and the pair make a lovely picture together.

Pretty in head with lovely neck and shoulders, she stands on tight feet, she has ample depth and width to chest, and she stands on balanced angles which she shows off on the move, she moves effortlessly round the ring as one with her handler.

2nd - SCHONEVILLE - BALVENIE FIDDLE DIDDLE

A more substantial bitch than winner, who has more bone and substance than the winner. Feminine head with an alert eye, another that is well ribbed up, strong in topline, moderate bend to stifles, moved well, but would have liked to have seen more drive and enthusiasm.

1st - SCHONEVILLE - BALVENIE FIDDLE DIDDLE (RPT Junior)

Open (4,1)

I was truly honoured to judge this amazing class.

1st - SCHONVILLE - SH CH BALVENIE DOUBLE DIAMOND JW

I have previously given this male Best of Breed, and my opinion has not changed; he is everything I’m looking for in a GSP. A medium-sized dog with a short back and standing over plenty of ground. He is full of substance and balance, he has the most handsome head with a gentlemanly expression, clean neck and shoulders, plenty of bone, muscle. Moved effortlessly round the ring and has that ‘look at me’ attitude. BOB

2nd - BROWN & BURNS - SH CH MAGREGOR POP THE DOM OVER POTHOUSE

A male I have admired from the ringside. Another outstanding example of the breed. Masculine head of good proportions and the softest of expressions, he is slightly longer in frame than winner, but completely balanced, he has clean neck and shoulders, strong topline which he held on the move. He moved off with good reach and drive, I just wish I had a bigger ring for these males as it was something quite special to judge this class.

3rd - SIELSKI - SH CH ORCHIDSTAR BOLTS OF SPEED

Puppy (3,0)

1st - STILGOE, STILGOE & FOX - TEISGOL ROSE CAMPION

One i have judged before and my comments still apply, she is getting better and better. Feminine throughout, She flows from head to tail, nothing exaggerated about her. Pretty head with a dark eye and a soft expression. Clean neck leading into well-placed shoulders, standing on straight forelegs and tight feet, enough bone and substance for her age, ample spring of rib, solid topline with good tail runoff, good bend of stifle and well let down hocks, she moved with grace and enthusiasm holing her topline as she covered the small ring with ease. BP.

2nd -STILGOE & FOX - TIESGOL SWEET WILLIAM

Another I have judged before, brother to winner, and the placings remain the same as last time i judged, he is maturing well and keeping his balance, handsome head, clean neck and shoulders, good front and rear angulation. I just prefer the elegance and curves of his sister.

3rd - FLEETWOOD - SONHAM JUST PERFECT (AI)

Junior (3,0)

1st - SWANNELL - SHARNPHILLY BLACK ABBOTT

A upstanding dog who was giving his handler a hard time. Masculine in head with dark gentle eyes, thin ears framing the head, well muscled neck with slight arch, well placed shoulders, however he was ruining his outline by pushing on to his front, well sprung ribs and good depth from withers to brisket, ample bone and muscle for his age, ample bend of stifle with well let down hocks. The ring was way too small for this male; he couldn’t get into stride, but moved ok. BOB.

2nd - Repeat of Puppy

3rd - Repeat of Puppy

Post Grad (5,3)

1st - BELL - BRENT DEVILLE’S ADVOCATE AT OWLSPOINT (AI)

A B/W male who has a lovely outline, well built and a outline of graceful curves. Head masculine with a soft expression, I would prefer less length to the foreface, clean neck and shoulders, with ample width and depth to chest, standing on straight forelegs, tight feet, strong hindquarters with good bend of stifle, moved effortlessly but lacked the drive and enthusiasm.

2nd - STILGOES & FOX, TEISGOL ALOHOMORA

O/W bitch, pretty head, but would like more substance to the head, nice neck and shoulders, good spring of rib, well angulated and muscled hindquarters, another that lacked the confidence on the move.

1st - LEWIS - EIRIANDYLIS STRANGE MAGIC VON TRANNON JW

Pretty headed bitch with dark eye and gentle expression, clean and well muscled neck of correct length, leading into well placed shoulders, she stands on a straight foreleg, tight feet, with ample spring and depth to chest, strong topline, well angulted hindquarters with good bend of stifle, she is well coated and with ample bone and muscle.

2nd - THOMAS - TIGERROCK TOP GUN

A substantial male, who is presented in a heavy coat, he is full of substance, but lacking the clean lines of winner. Handsome in head, well ribbed up, thighs strong, well-bent stifle, unfortunately, movement let this male down.

3rd - ELLIS - FFRIND FFYDDLON VAN RAAMVLIET (IMP NED)

Open (2,0)

1st - PHILIPSON - MENSTONIA METEOR ShCEx

A 6-year-old male that once settled, was no denying he was my BOB, he oozes showmanship, he is symmetrical, compact, and presents the image of endurance, and he was also very happy. He is well presented in a good coat and condition.

A lovely head of good proportions, dark eye with a lovely cheeky expression, ears set moderately low, long muscular neck leading into good shoulder placement, deep and well sprung ribs, strong topline balanced front and rear angulation and standing on good feet, he moved with drive, enthusiasm, and owning the ring. BOB.

2nd - LEWIS - KIDENOAN BEHIND MAREK VON TRANNON

Smaller and more compact in type, presented in good coat and condition. Masculine head, not the eyes and expression of the winner. Clean neck, straight forelegs, good depth from withers to brisket and well ribbed up, strong topline, stronger in hind angulation than fore, moved well.
