Puppy (1,0)1st – Dean’s Snowpups Sparkly Solitaire A very promising 6-month-old female who appealed for her balance and breed type. Her coat is coming on well for her age, of correct texture and presentation, and she is blessed with lovely dark eyes, well-pigmented nose and excellent overall pigment — all so essential to the Bichon expression. She has a pleasing earset which frames her face well. On the move she was light, free and positive, covering the ground as the standard requires, and she carried herself with confidence. A happy, attentive youngster who clearly enjoys her time in the ring and showed to advantage throughout. Best Puppy. Junior (2,0) 1st – Carr’s Petit Ami’s Countin’ on a Miracle (Imp Nor) A truly quality 16-month-old bitch presented in immaculate condition. She has a super outline, standing balanced and square . Her head is a real highlight — textbook in proportions with no hint of coarseness, and she carries the soft yet alert expression so typical. She excels in front construction with a straight, well-laid front and maintains her shape on the move, which was light, effortless and precise. She showed herself at all times, carrying herself with style and confidence, clearly enjoying her job. A pleasure to go over, surely a champion in the making. Best of Breed. 2nd – Crawford’s Robin Hood I Can Dream A 14-month-old male who presents as an honest and appealing youngster with much to like. He has a kind expression, with good pigment and overall balance. At this stage he is a little longer in body and he did not always make the most of himself today. That said, he moved soundly and showed potential. Post Graduate (3, 3) A disappointing class with three absentees. Open (4, 2) 1st – Marsden’s Winharleigh Magic of Music A 7-year-old male who presents a very typical outline, being pleasingly short-coupled and of square proportions. He stands well over the ground with a balanced, compact frame and carries a lovely plume of tail, set on well and carried correctly over the back, adding to his overall silhouette. His coat was of good texture and presentation, On the move he was light, free and effortless, covering the ground well with the cheerful, fluent action called for in the standard. A sound, honest dog who made the most of himself today. RBOB 2nd – Crawford’s Luka Songbird A 3-year-old male of pleasing type who presented a well-balanced and honest outline. He has a pleasant, typical expression with good eye and pigment, giving him a soft and appealing look. He moved steadily and soundly, covering the ground with a positive and composed action. A straightforward, likeable dog with many good qualities.
