BLACKPOOL AND FYLDE TOY DOG SOCIETY 30TH MARCH 2025 PUGS

I would like to Thank the committee for this invitation, every small detail in this show was well considered and their hospitality really sets a precedence. I would also like to thank my two stewards on the day and the exhibitors who entered under me, some beautiful pugs present today which gave me a lot to consider.

CLASS 49, PUPPY (5,0)

Hill’s RHODENASH KANDOO KHAOS WITH CALAQUENDI, 8 month old pale fawn female puppy with a feminine, well pigmented head, open nares and button ears, Good workings and dark eyes, she is short and compact in body with the right amount bone for her size. Straight front with black nails I felt her very mature and well composed for one so young, she moved really well in each direction coming to a bang square halt each time. BP

Marsh’s DYNATOS DOING HER THING, Just 6 months female fawn puppy, another lovely youngster, a bigger frame than 1 but well proportioned throughout, she had the prettiest of heads with good pigment, rose ears, open nares, good width to jaw, set on a good length of neck, short loin and a high set double twist. Ample bone, straight front and clearly enjoying her day out, moved with style and purpose.

Class 52, POST GRADUATE (2,1)

Rutherford’s AFTERGLOW DREAMSICLE WITH POTBELLI, 20 months old fawn female, litter sister to one of my own pugs and how she has come on I was really impressed with her and considered her strongly in the challenge. She is small, short and cobby with the most beautiful feminine head with super workings and lustrous dark eyes, dark pigment and so very pretty throughout, she possesses a s straight front, tight feet, dark nails, well angulated, level topline, a single twist and moved with style and drive.

Class 53, LIMIT (2,1)

Turnbull’s NICOBRI LORD OF THE RINGS JW, One I have judged once before when he was in puppy and he impressed me then at his young age but how he has matured, now a strapping and handsome 20 months old male, he is a super shape, the first thing you notice is his impressive, well worked masculine head with dark pigment and without exaggeration, button ears good nares and over nose wrinkle and good width to his jaw, he has good fill under his dark eyes and his head is set on a good neck, level topline and on to a well set tail. He has a super amount of bone with a straight front, blackest of nails and well angulated which helps him move with drive, with a sense of importance which demands your attention.

In super company today he couldn’t be denied BOB, surely destined to be a champion.

Class 54. OPEN (3,1)

Two beautiful and worthy champions in this class and an absolute pleasure to go over,

Rutherford’s CH BILOHKA DAWN PATROL WITH POTBELLI JW, Another I have judged before and done well for and a very worthy champion. 20 months old now fawn female who also demands your attention and excels on the move, a lovely shape with a head that’s hard to beat, she is multum in parvo and very impressive, I just found her today carrying a touch too much weight and not quite on her toes which cost her the challenge today, RBOB

Edward’s CH RHODENASH LIVIN A DREAM VW, A smaller type than one, looking absolutely fantastic for her 8 years and another girl who has clearly been very worthy on her green cards she has won to gain her title, I was impressed by her super condition, she is short and cobby and has a beautiful feminine head with dark pigment, despite her older age she moved out so freely, keen and enjoying her day, you couldn’t not smile when watching her.
