Breed: Miniature Pinscher
Puppy (2, 0) 1st – Soper’s Alcarazita Conrad Gates A very eye-catching 10-month-old male who impressed for his type, balance and ring presence. He presents a clean, elegant outline, appearing square and well-proportioned in line with the breed standard, with a firm topline and well-placed neck flowing into good shoulders. He stands on a straight front with neat, tight cat-like feet, and has a well-shaped head with correctly erect ears, giving that alert, fearless and spirited expression so characteristic of his breed. On the move he was free, balanced and purposeful, showing good reach and drive with true Hackney action while maintaining his outline. He carried himself with confidence and attitude throughout, really demanding attention in the ring. A promising youngster with style, soundness and true character. Best of Breed. 2nd – Cherry’s Danton Firefly at Shanandi An appealing 8-month-old female with a feminine and elegant outline, showing many of the clean lines and refinement desired in the breed. She moved very well, with a free and positive action that showed good promise for the future. She has a pleasing head and expression, and displays the lively, spirited nature typical of the Miniature Pinscher. Unfortunately, she did not settle on the day and gave her handler a challenging time. Junior (1, 1) Absent. Post Graduate (4, 2) 1st – Soper’s Dobenar Leonidas A smart 2½-year-old black and tan male of pleasing type, presenting a compact, balanced and typically square outline. He has clean, well-defined lines, a firm topline and a well-carried tail, all contributing to a correct and attractive silhouette. His head is masculine yet refined, with a keen, alert expression that reflects the breed’s characteristic confidence. He stands on good cat-like feet and shows sound overall construction. On the move he was true and positive, covering the ground well with an active, purposeful stride. He showed himself well throughout and is a quality exhibit with much to admire. He showed well and made the most of himself, He pushed hard but I just preferred the movement of his kennel mate for top honours today. 2nd – Twigg’s Monarkle Fire N’ice at Teffys A charming 7-year-old bitch who was presented beautifully by her young handler, forming a lovely partnership in the ring. She is a feminine, typical example of the breed, with a pleasing outline, good proportions and clean lines. She moved soundly with a steady, positive action, maintaining her shape on the move. She shows the bright, alert expression and confident character so typical of her breed. A worthy exhibit who was handled to perfection. Open (2, 2) Hayley Reynolds (Croftren)
