A huge thank you must go out to the officers and committee that invited me to officiate at their wonderful show, different venue for this year but still with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Having some lovely dogs to go over just made for a lovely day.

English Setters

Puppy (4,1) 1. Mrs B Szal’s – Goldbirch Northern Jazz. At 8 months old this dog shows great promise with a confident friendly entry into the ring, on the initial stack held a good topline and overall outline, substantial in build but showing nothing in excess, head of good proportions, equal in length and of oval skull and with a nice defined stop, dark in eye giving that good natured expression, good length to a clean cut neck, shoulders laid well back onto a sound front with good bone on straight forelegs, depth of chest to elbow and with a good spring of rib carried back to a strong loin, rear with good quality muscle on 1st and 2nd thighs, nice bend in stifle down to strong hock, coat still developing but quality coming through, moved true out and back, steady and with reach and drive round the ring. BPIB. 2. Mrs Forrest’s – Elvistar Falling in Love. Good in overall outline and well balanced, head with good plains and a nice dark eye, strong neck clean through to a good lay of shoulder, front of strong bone, brisket deep to elbow and with plenty of well sprung rib, strong across the loin, 1st and 2nd thighs well toned on a nice bend of stifle, moved happily with a good reach with clean heels out and back.

Junior (3,1) 1. Mrs Danks-Kemish and Mr & Mrs Littlechild’s – Ravensett Just An Illusion With Alolfrana. This dog just oozed quality and confidence on entering the ring, showy and full on, cracking outline and in immaculate condition, correct plains to head and skull carrying a good dark eye with a friendly expression, clean neck of a good length set to a well laid shoulder, strong through front carrying good bone on straight forelegs, well ribbed on a deep chest carried back to a strong loin, stifle well bent nothing over the top and with strong well formed muscle to thighs, moved confidently and with drive and power around the ring. BOB. 2. Mrs B Szal’s – Goldbirch Northern Jazz. Seen Dog 1st from Puppy.

Post Graduate (2) 1. Mrs’s Derry, Schoneville & Williamson’s – Hawklawn Hazzard County At Belvenie JW. Youngster of 20 months with a good outline and a strong held topline, head and skull with good plains and proportions, nice dark eye giving that friendly expression, neck strong and of a good length, muscular and clean cut, shoulders well laid back to strong front assembly, chest deep to elbow and carrying plenty of well sprung rib, strong across the loin through to well toned thighs on a good bend in stifle, moved in a positive powerful driven gait. RBOB 2. Owen’s – Marwessett Ysobel Enigma At Cornsett. Definitely a bitch with a gentle expression from a nice dark eye, good in initial outline, head and skull of good proportions, neck of good length strong and with no excess, shoulders set well and to a good front well boned on straight front, chest deep and with good spring of rib back to a strong loin, 1st and 2nd thighs strong with good muscle, stifle well bent and hocks also strong, movement was powerfully driven from the strong rear.

Clumber Spaniels

Graduate (1) 1. Mrs Tapp’s – Spyrodragon Gnorc Cove.
