I thoroughly enjoyed my day judging at this lovely show. My sincere thanks go to the Officers and Committee for the kindness and hospitality that was extended to me during my visit. My excellent steward did a marvellous job and many thanks to the exhibitors who brought many of their lovely dogs under me. Such an honour and a pleasure.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel P (1,0)

1.Dawson Hearthfriend High Hopes At Luphenex 6 month old well broken blenheim boy with good pigment, nice eye giving gentle expression. Correct ear placement and lovely ear feathering already. Decent forehand and body with good spring of rib for age. Moved out well and held a level topline. BP

Junior (5,0)

1.Maclaine and Vella Lochbuie Julius Baer A lovely well broken 15 month blenheim boy with rich chestnut markings and good pigmentation, strong jaw with correct scissor bite, nice open nostrils. Grand head and large round dark eye giving that sort after melting expression. Lovely long ears set correctly on almost flat skull, soundly made with good spring of rib. Moves out well with a free driving action. BOB

2.Boutle Applebroad Pink Lady another well marked 15-month blenheim with rich chestnut colour and excellent pigmentation. Flat skull and good ear set, good spring of rib, level topline which was also held on the move and correct tailset . Preferred the head and expression on 1.

1.Biddle Theodore James Castellum Mare At Hearthfriend 2 and half yr old heavily marked tricolour boy with good head, lovely dark eye and pigmentation. Soft expression framed by his lovely long ears. Good reach of neck, shoulder assembly and good spring of rib. Moved with drive around the ring keeping a level topline.RBOB

2.Boutle Applebroad Red Prince richly marked 15 month Blenheim, with clear white markings enhanced by good pigmentation, elegant neck set into well laid shoulders , level top line held on the move .Slightly bigger than 1 overall but preferred 1s movement .

3.Morgan Hearthfriend Trafalgar

L (5,1)

1. Maclaine and Vella Lochbuie Goldman Sachs another handsome 15 month rich blenheim boy in good coat presented well that I just noticed is the litter brother of my BOB. Dark eyes giving nice expression, good depth of chest, pleasing outline on the move and standing, moved with drive.

2.Colavecchia Carolus Camilla 2 and half yr old sweet headed blenheim bitch with a lovely lozenge, soft expression and good eye. Spotless silky coat, nice shape with good turn of stifle, moved true both ways, held her topline and happily stood four square. Very close between these two but overall preferred the head and expression of 1 on the day.

1.Danks Rabymar Prince William At Alsidewood Lovely black and tan with raven black silky coat with rich tan in all the right places that was well presented. Good balanced outline, almost flat skull, nice dark eye and pigment giving a soft expression, good spring of rib. Moved well with drive both away and back holding a level topline and correct tailset. Was unfortunate to meet the other dogs in junior class with him.

2.Dawson Luphenex Highland Fling 3 yr old Blenheim with attractive head, fantastic well feathered ears, large dark round eyes creating a melting expression. Short coupled with good spring of rib , well carried tail .Moved soundly but preferred the tailset of 1 on the move .

1.Mcgrath Rubyanlo Isn’t She Lovely For Maisenoaks A lovely back and fawn girl with well-rounded ‘apple dome’ skull, cheeks and jaws lean, muzzle moderately short, slightly pointed, lovely black pigmentation with open nostrils with definite stop. Good topline, straight forelegs with small dainty feet, nice balance with good turn of stifle. BOB

1.Crowley Copymear Flash Dance At Christalchi small, dainty with a lovely well rounded head, large well set ears with correct angle and good expression. Well bodied with good depth of brisket, good topline and well-set flattish tail. Beautifully balanced and sound, eye catching on the move. BOB

1.Crowley Anadeia Maikoh An attractive cream dog with a lovely head, good expressive eye, excellent mouth. Good neck and shoulders, well ribbed with good topline and tailset. Swift and sound on the move. RBOB

1.Newman Baldragon French Kisses just loved this tricolour dog as soon as he walked into the ring. Of good breed type and quality. Side profile showing good size and balance. His head has width all through and is domed with low set ears with good feathering. Clean dark attractive eye, black pigment to wide open nostrils. Nice length of neck into well placed angulated shoulders. Short straight front legs, good width of chest, elbows close in body allowing good forward movement. Held a level topline on the move. Nicely muscled rear. Presented well for the showring, shown in lovely silky coat with lots of flowing feathering. BOB

2.Smith Headra’s Somebody To Love very pretty tricolour girl with rich clear tan markings. She has a nice, shaped head, well domed with correct ear, eye, and nose placements. Large nose with nice open nostrils. I love her size and shape but not happy on the move today which let her down. RBOB
