LABRADOR RETRIEVERS

I would like to begin by firstly thanking the exhibitors for their entries and for giving me the privilege of going over their lovely dogs & bitches.  Not a large breed entry numerically, however I still had an enjoyable day at a very well organised show.

My thanks to the Officers & Committee for the invitation and also to my excellent and most efficient steward.

1.    Turner’s Dunmhuilig Freya  B   A pleasing  and feminine black bitxh of good  breed  type. Lovely hazel eyes, good head shape and proportions, intelligent expression, correct otter  tail , moved well . With more experience in the ring she should do well – good luck and enjoy showing her.

1.  Hibb’s  Binnaig Blissful  B   A sweet feminine  yellow,  again  having  good breed type with a good and clean reach of neck , a pleasing hazel eye colour ,   who was shown in  decent   coat  and with  correct neat tight feet  , good angulation , and a good depth of loin. Nicely muscled in good firm tone and she moved very well  around the ring with precision and ease , well schooled  and at one with her handler .   BOB

1.  Drummonds   Passion of my Life Kimani with Drumonagh (IMP POL)   D.  A large and powerful chocolate dog with a correct masculine head , good hazel eye colour  and nicely set on ears .  He was certainly enjoying the show to the full and was very lively today and making his handler work hard.  Beautiful and correct otter tail and a good dark coat colour with a lovely glossy sheen to it.

When he behaved / calmed a bit , I could  better  see the many breed  qualities he has and  I’m sure he will do well when he matures  and settles .
