SOUTH WESTERN GREAT DANE CLUB OPEN SHOW

23 NOVEMBER 2025


MPD 2(0)

1. Baker’s Kinnegans Bodyguard for Preveli (IKC). Fawn dog, lovely balanced headpiece, good length to his muzzle and has already got some strength, good lips, not overdone, clean elegant neck and lovely straight forelegs with super feet, has some fill in front, like his proportions, obviously still needs to drop in chest, strong rear, strong tail, holds his shape on the move, a little soft in his top-line but is a nice type and very sound mover, BPD.

2. White’s Kinnegans Last Kingdom (imp IRE). Masculine headed dog, a little bit stronger in lip than 1, level head planes and has raised brows, good fill in front for his age, again compact feet, a little more depth to his chest, stronger build than 1 but prefer more strength in his rear, little steep in croup and just needs to settle in the rear but good ribs of good length, not quite as collected and settled as 1 but has good parts and will improve with time.

1. Wright/Cranfield’s Zefathers Two Faces with Irieusdane. Lovely shape and balance, moderate bone but he has a clean elegant outline, liked his headpiece, has some length to his foreface and level head planes, med sized ears set well, dark eyes, strong neck, has some fill in front, excellent bone and feet, holds his top-line, could have a little better lay of shoulder but has good length of rib,strong loin, has some strength to his rear quarters with nice width of thigh and low set hocks, wouldn’t want anymore angulation to his rear though,tail of correct length, not totally settled going over him but on the move he has good footfall, he is good breed type.

2. Bartley’s Primus Gambler Atelib. Slightly stronger dog than 1, masculine head, prefer a little less lip to him but has good length of foreface and nice breadth of muzzle throughout, dark eyes, like 1 has well set ears, excellent bone, a little flat in his feet, good depth to his chest, strong muscular body to him, very compact and prefer a little bit longer ribbing on him, strong muscular rear, not as collected as 1 on the move, has parts to him but a stronger dog all through.

1. Pocock/Pavlou’s Bubba Von Pao Eberjager with Tamzdane (imp FCA). Mantle dog, again nicely balanced dog, elegant look to him, I liked his headpiece, has some length to his muzzle and equal width of muzzle from nose to stop, correct raised brows, medium sized ears well set, still to develop a little bit in underjaw but has moderate lips, liked his neck, still to drop and develop through the front but has good bone and feet, well proportioned, ribs extend well back, the way he holds his top-line, width in second thigh, strong tail, in profile he holds his shape with good footfall, just needs to strengthen up in rear a little but nice type and in good condition.

2. Jacques/Kirby’s Jacqukir Take Me Home (AI). Fawn dog, good length of leg to him, he has a masculine head, lovely expression to him, broad muzzle, would like fraction longer in foreface for ideal, elegant neck, super feet but he needs to straighten in his forelegs, again like 1 has good length of rib, moderate top-line, flags his tail a little on the move, not quite got the strength in rear at the minute, standing he paints a nice picture just needs to settle up and down on the move, has some good parts to him.

1. Pocock/Pavlou’s Bubba Von Pao Eberjager with Tamzdane (imp FCA). Repeat.


SpO Black Dog 2(0)

1. Simpson’s Renescent Bewitched JW. I liked this dog standing, lovely picture with good leg length, well proportioned body and leg, balanced headpiece, not overdone in skull, level head planes, good dark eye, good quality of lip and equal strength in muzzle from nose to stop, elegant neck, straight forelegs with compact feet, good depth to his chest, a little out at elbow but has nice lay of shoulder, ribs extend well back with good underline, moderate rear angulation with nice low set hocks, lovely condition,super black colour, in profile holds his shape, on the move he is just a little bit loose in front but has a nice type, lots to like and is Ch material.

2. Macdonald’s Zeus Nero Von Adamantium of Ranaldane (imp DEU) Ir JCh Cen JW CW25. Masculine headed dog, again good proportions of muzzle to skull, dark expressive eyes, moderate bone to him, a little flat in his feet, nice depth to his chest, again ribs go well back, a little bit longer cast than 1, in his rear he has some width in his thigh but could have more width in 2nd thigh, covers the ground well, just loses his top-line a little on the move but is a nice mover in profile and has good parts to him.

1. Henshall’s Calchas Bryan The Brave. Strong dog but not overdone, lovely headpiece to him, masculine, correct strength of muzzle, not overdone in lip, level head planes and medium size ears set high, neck of good length, excellent fill in front with good depth to his chest, correct amount of bone, he has good brisket, length of rib extends well back, broad loin, excellent strong muscle to his rear with width in thigh and 2nd thigh, hock a little bit loose, once he settles he holds his shape, nicely made dog of good type, just on the move he loses his shape just a little but lots to like about him, strong muscular condition, nice type.

1. Ferguson’s Int/Ir/Lux Ch. Elitedaimos Magick Mago at Chateaudain. Elegant dog, not overdone, clean outline to him, he could have a little bit more length to his foreface but he has correct width and depth of muzzle, moderate amount of lip, excellent level head planes to him, eye could be a fraction darker but doesn’t detract from his look, clean arched elegant neck, has some fill in front, super straight forelegs with compact feet, again ribs extend well back, muscular loin, strong rear quarters to him with good muscle, holds his shape, not overdone, light on the move in profile where he holds his shape, nice quality dog.

1. Cranfield’s Ch. Zefather’s Ralph Lauren JW ShCEx OSW. Lovely balance and shape to him, excellent clean elegant outline but still has some strength without being coarse, lovely headpiece, equal head proportions, slightly raised brows, dark deep set eyes, has good depth to his muzzle and not overdone in lip, straight forelegs, nicely made forechest, ribs of good length, short strong loin, firm top-line which he holds at all times, muscular rear with strong vertical hocks, nice type, good condition, steady mover on the move, RBD & RBIS.

2. McLellan’s Anadain Life Is A Lemon. Slightly lighter framed dog than 1 but I liked his proportions, again has some strength to his foreface without being coarse, lean skull, lovely dark eyes, could have a little bit more bone for ideal but has straight forelegs, nice depth of chest, super firm top-line, short loin, I liked his rear quarters, holds his shape, has a lot of nice points, would just like a little bit more of him but I liked his shape.

1. Pendleton-Watkins’ Goldania’s King of Drago JW. Clean outline to him, has some strength but also some elegance to him, lovely headpiece, good length of muzzle, level head planes and not overdone in lip, has some fill under his eyes, prominent forechest, excellent straight forelegs with good bone, feet could be a little more compact but has deep chest, big ribs to him of good length, firm top-line, broad loin, again I liked his outline from neck to tail, moderate rear angulation, he is a steady mover where he holds his shape on the move with good footfall, nice honest dog in good condition.

1. McLellan’s Anadain Dead Ringer for Love JW. Real quality fawn dog, elegant balanced with lovely symmetrical outline, really liked his proportions of length of leg to body, lovely headpiece to him, lean but still has some strength to it throughout, moderate raised brow, lovely length of foreface with good quality of lip, medium size ears, elegant neck to him, lovely fill in front with straight forelegs, deep chest, ribs extend well back with a firm top-line that he holds at all times, very well put together, strong rear, lovely footfall, very balanced, lovely breed type, nice quality dog, BD & BIS.

2. Henshall’s Calchas Bryan The Brave. Repeat.

Two nice puppies, slightly different in type, both have quality to them.

Chappell’s Selmalda My Wild Flame. Lovely elegant bitch, super length of leg and I liked her proportions, obviously still needs to develop in her head but the proportions were there, level head planes, super bone and feet, clean elegant neck to her and she holds her top-line at all times, lovely shape to her, already has some width to her thigh, good temperament, very raw but very collected for age, BPB & BPIS.



2. Baker’s Kinnegans Bridgerton at Prevail (IKC). Nicely headed bitch which she scored over winner, has some width to her foreface with a lean skull, good quality of lip and nice dark eyes, needs to come up on her forelegs a little but has compact feet, excellent bone, not quite settled in her top-line right now but ribs are of good length, strong rear with low set hocks and good temperament, she has nice qualities to her, just not as collected as 1 but will improve with time for sure.

1. Pocock’s Lambrini A Girl Like Me at Tamzdane. Mantle bitch, feminine head to her with good length and moderate raised brows, I liked her muzzle, she has good quality of lip and she has some strength and depth to her foreface, elegant neck of good length, prominent forechest still to develop in front but will come with age, good bone, correct lay of shoulder to her, firm top-line, ribs of good length, could be a little bit shorter in loin but has strong rear quarters to her with well angulated rear and low set hocks, what I liked about her on the move is that she has good reach in front, she holds her shape, she has some style to her on the move, nice size, good type.

2. Bielecka’s Alegriagiant Dare to Dream. Blue bitch, lovely headed bitch, equal head proportions with level head planes, still needs to straighten in forelegs a little but has good ribs to her, square in outline, good bone and feet, level top-line, tail a little low set, moderate rear but she needs to strengthen in hock, steady mover in profile, just needs to strengthen in rear on the up and down, has some nice parts to her and has good skin and muscular condition.

Three nice bitches, all slightly different in type.

1. Cranfield/Wright’s Zefathers Gossip Girl with Irieusdane. She won on her proportions, square in outline, lovely clean shape to her, feminine head with nice dark eyes, level head planes, has some depth to her muzzle and not overdone in lip, good fill in front, good bone and keel, straight forelegs and super compact feet, excellent ribcage to her with a short muscled loin, firm top-line, has some strength in her rear quarters, moderate rear angulation, lovely footfall on the move from all angles, nice temperament,lovely honest quality young junior bitch, RBB.


2. Jacques/Kirby’s Jacqukir Love Me Again (AI). I liked this bitch’s head, she has some good length to her foreface and nice lip, raised brows but not overdone and nice expression to her, some fill under her eyes already, lovely quality head, super straight forelegs with excellent feet, still to develop and drop in her chest but she has a firm top-line, fraction longer in loin than 1, well angled rear, she is very positive on the move and like 1 has good footfall to her, holds her shape on the move, lots to like about her, just a little bit longer cast than 1 but two nice bitches.

1. Pendleton-Watkins’ Goldania’s Princess Etain. Fawn bitch, lots to like about her, has strength and substance but still elegant and definitely not coarse, detailed headpiece with level head planes, ears set high and nice quality of lip without being overdone, has some depth to her muzzle and good fill under her eyes, lovely clean neck to her, prominent forechest, excellent shaped forelegs with compact feet, has good depth to her chest for her age, well developed ribs that extend well back with a level top-line, moderate length of loin, strong muscular rear to her, holds her top-line on the move and she has some reach and drive on the go round where she holds her shape, nice example.

2. Cope/Thorn’s Fonblanque Fiona. Harlequin bitch, I liked her head, equal head proportions, not overdone in skull, neat well set ears, has some width and depth to her muzzle, lovely bone and feet to her, clean neck, has some depth to her chest, still needs to develop in ribs a little, a little bit more tucked up in belly than 1 but she is square in outline, again like 1 she holds her top-line, has some width in thigh, still to develop in 2nd thigh, steady mover, not quite got the reach of 1 but has a nice balance to her, a fraction close in the rear on the move.

1. Evans’ Belarosedane Beany Babybel. Stood alone, blue bitch, I liked her proportions, square in outline with correct length of leg, she has level head planes, equal head proportions of muzzle and skull, moderate size ears, dark eyes and has some width to her foreface, good bone to her, turns her feet out slightly, big ribs to her, good depth of chest, a little soft in her top-line, strong rear but she has a moderate front assembly which she uses well on the move with some reach, low set vertical hocks, I liked her carriage to her where she covers the ground, not totally settled to go over but she has good points to her, just prefer a firmer top-line.

Four bitches slightly different in shape and type.

1. Martin’s Keishant Athena. Won on her proportions, lovely length of leg, clean outline to her, good length of foreface, nice quality of lip, deep muzzle and some raised brows, lovely shaped forelegs with excellent compact feet, nice fill in front, square outline, excellent length of rib with short muscled loin, I liked her rear, she holds her shape on the move with good footfall, correct croup and tail, nice honest bitch.

2. Henshall’s Calchas Addition (AI). Harlequin bitch, again like 1 has a square outline with lovely bone and substance to her without being too much, has length to her foreface, level head planes, ideally like a little bit more fill through the chest, level back, short muscled loin, strong rear quarters to her, a little bit loose in front on the go round but I liked her type and I liked her proportions.

3. Evans’ Belarosedane Lady Bayleigh.

1. White’s Jutlanders Are You Ready JW (imp DAN). Lovely stamp on this fawn bitch, still retains her shape and her outline with a very clean neck and backline to her, detailed headpiece, lovely length of foreface to her, nice quality of lip without being overdone, strong neck, super straight forelegs with the right amount of bone, compact feet, has a little bit of an undercarriage now but she is a veteran, has nice width to her thigh and very balanced and has good footfall in profile and up and down, nice quality bitch, BVIS.

2. Hayter’s Damarkann Secret Dare with Stevarah. Very balanced bitch, not the biggest bitch but she has good proportions to her and she is balanced, level head planes, eyes of good size, has some width to her foreface and some depth with good lips, clean neck to her, moderate balanced front assembly with some fill in front, straight forelegs, good underline to her, I liked her top-line, balanced rear, she is very balanced throughout, just could be a little bit more of her, she holds her shape and is a sound mover, low set hocks, lovely skin and condition.

1. Pocock’s Tamzdane Oooey Gooey Cake JW. Very balanced bitch, clean outline to her with good length of leg, she has some length to her foreface, moderate raised brows to her, level head planes, wouldn’t want any more lip to her but she has a strong neck, excellent straight forelegs with good depth of chest, ribs of good length and well developed, good top-line, excellent rear quarters with low set hocks, where she comes into her own is on the move with super reach and drive and she holds her shape, she is an excellent profile mover, nice type, very balanced.

3. Cope/Thorn’s Fonblanque Fiona.


SpO Blue Bitch 4(1)

1. Hayter’s Taysca Stele Mici with Stevarah. She is very collected with a really good construction to her with a lovely clean neck, lovely lay of shoulder, nice fill in front, slightly stronger in skull but has level head planes, moderate brow, strong muscular neck, lovely deep chest to her, ribs extend well back, lovely width of thigh and 2nd thigh with low set hocks which she uses on the move, a really positive powerful mover, could have a little less throat to her, firm condition, won on her movement and like how she retains her shape on the move.

2. Simpson’s Renescent Fugget About It. Slightly finer bitch than 1, lovely head and expression, feminine headpiece, has length to her foreface, ears are set well, still could have more fill through the front but straight forelegs, compact feet, ideally like more strength in the middle to her, two different type of bitches, sound mover and on the go round she has good foot placement but just a different type of bitch, has quality to her.

3. Ferguson’s Ir/Swiss Ch. Renescent Too Hot To Handle for Chateaudain Lux JCh CW25 JW.



SpO Fawn Bitch 2(0)

Two real quality bitches, difficult to choose between the two.

1. Martin’s Keishant Venus. Lovely shape, she is square in outline, clean neck to her, elegant look, lovely length of foreface, has some equal width and depth to her foreface and moderate brow, I liked her foot placement, lovely forechest to her, correct amount of bone, well sprung ribs with a short muscled loin to her, really holds her shape on the move, has strength to her rear quarters, just a nice honest bitch, BB & BOS.

2. Cranfield’s Ch. Zefathers Kind of Magic JW. Lovely headed bitch, soft expression, level head planes, elegant clean neck to her, like 1 has some good fill in front, straight forelegs, fraction longer cast than 1 but she holds her top-line, got a little bit of an undercarriage right now but she has strong rear quarters to her with low set hocks and width in 2nd thigh, two typy bitches, little to choose between them.

1. Merwick’s Taradanes Star Vision for Saalan. Stood alone, she has a feminine headpiece to her, not overdone but still has some strength of foreface, good lips, flat skull, neat ears set well, lovely lean arched elegant neck to her, has some forechest, lovely straight forelegs, good depth of chest, lovely big ribs on her, broad muscled loin and she holds her top-line, I liked the rear quarters on her, could be a little bit shorter in loin but she paints a nice picture, lovely skin and condition, steady mover.
