My thanks to the officers and committee for the invitation to judge at this well run show and to my stewards who kept everything moving along in an efficient manner.
Best In Show was a line-up of seven quality animals and I thank the group & breed judges for sending forward some lovely animals for my consideration. I found my winner in the 13 month old Irish Water Spaniel – Stirk’s Nyllaup Akoya Pearl for Grakar, this dark liver female was so full of quality and breed type, she was well balanced throughout with good angles & proportions, and good breed characteristics, she had a lovely temperament with that clown like attitude, beautiful head piece with the darkest of almond eyes showing a pleasing expression, her ears were well-set and of correct length, strong neck into well laid shoulders, stood on ample bone with correct feet, good depth of brisket and well sprung ribs, short back into strong loins, well moulded croup & tail set, strong well-developed hindquarters. When she settled after an initial leap around she presented a picture of balance on the move with ample reach & drive. Correct waterproof coat with ample ringlets. Perfectly handled and presented.
RBIS went to the 13 month old Jack Russell Terrier, Mignano-Fricker & Fricker’s, Moorbell Moon and Stars over Calavey (Imp Ita), what a little star, this tan & white male, so full of quality & breed type, presented a well-balanced picture in a compact form, nothing overdone in any way, he was bright and agile with a tail that didn’t stop wagging, so typical of the breed. Perfect temperament and excellent bite, correctly proportioned head piece with a dark almond eye, well set ears, strong neck of correct length into well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm, he stood on ample bone with strong pasterns and nice tight feet, good depth of brisket and spring of rib, strong loins, level back into well set on tail, he spanned well, strong well-developed hindquarters giving him good drive on the move. He was perfectly sound in all directions with a free side gait, he was shown in excellent muscle tone and finished off nicely with a well stripped harsh coat. Beautifully handled to compliment the dog.
My BPIS went to the 10 month old German Shorthaired Pointer, Serpa’s - Winterwell Starry Night at Mylanuka (ai), I gave her the puppy stakes class on the first day, her quality and breed type shone out, she was so well balanced with lovely angles & proportions, lovely clean cut head piece with a nice dark eye giving that soft yet intelligent expression, correct length of muzzle with ample lips, well placed ears of correct length, strong neck of correct length into well laid shoulders, close fitting elbows, ample bone, strong pasterns and nice tight feet. Good depth of chest and well sprung ribs, firm back of correct length and strong loins, well set tail and strong, well-developed hindquarters, she was sound both ways with a super smooth side gait showing good reach & drive. Presented in good hard condition.
RBP went to the beautiful Siberian Husky, Gauntlett’s 364 - Eirakee's You Go Glen Coco (ai), who I earlier gave the working group to, 9 months, so full of breed type and quality, not extreme in any quarter, excellent temperament, good mouth, lovely head piece with good proportions and head planes, almond eye well set, well placed ears standing erect at all times, good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, she was well balanced throughout with good angles & proportions, stood on ample bone with strong pasterns and nice tight feet, ample depth of brisket with good ribbing, strong, level back & loins into well set tail carried well at all speeds, strong well-developed hindquarters with ideal angulation affording her good propulsion on the move. She was sound both ways with an effortless side gait. Shown in good coat and muscle tone, well handled.
BVIS went to the Hungarian Puli, Sharpe & Dyer’s, Ch Catsun Comanche Legacy ShCEx VW, 8 years black male of good quality & breed type, square set with lovely cording, excellent temperament, good mouth and pigmentation, nice dark eye, well balanced head piece with slight dome to the skull, well placed ears, short strong neck into well laid shoulders, he was well balanced throughout with good angles & proportions, stood on ample bone, stood on nice tight feet, good depth of brisket & ribbing, strong level back into high tail set and well-developed hindquarters. He was sound both ways with a lovely light side gait, so coordinated and presented in good hard condition.
BCh IS, Reader’s Leonberger, Ch Lempileijonan Unelmien Prinssi (Imp Fin) JW ShCEx OSW, 4 years male of super quality & breed type, excellent temperament, good mouth, lovely head piece showing strength and elegance combined, lovely dark eye, well placed ears, strong neck into well laid shoulders, he was so well balanced throughout with good angles & proportions, stood on good bone and nice tight feet, good depth of brisket & ribbing, strong level back with slight rise over the rump, well set tail of correct length, strong well-developed hindquarters and upright hocks. He was sound both ways with a steady side gait showing ample reach & drive, shown in good coat and hard condition.

She was sound both ways with a lovely side gait, harsh coat and presented in hard condition.
2nd Chugg’s Earthtaw No Way Jose, 3 years blue & tan male, excellent temperament, level bite, stronger in head with nice dark eye, well placed ears, strong neck into slightly upright shoulder, stood on ample bone, but taller on the leg for me, feet could be tighter, he spans well with good ribbing, slightly longer in the loins, level back into good set on tail, moderate hindquarters with clean hocks. He was sound both ways with a steady side gait but lacked the reach of winner. Good jacket and presented in good hard condition.

Good jacket with moderate furnishings, she was sound both ways with good hind drive.

2nd Chugg’s Chatmoss Chaterbox at Tufterslodge, 7 years tan & white female, slightly longer cast than winner, excellent temperament, good mouth, correctly proportion head piece with nice dark eye, well placed ears, strong neck into well laid shoulders, stood on ample bone with nice tight feet, spans well with good ribbing, strong straight back into good set on of tail and well-developed hindquarters, she was sound both ways with a steady side gait showing ample reach & drive. Not in full coat, but in good hard condition.

2nd Lee’s Villanyda Wizards Apprentice for Amenbury (Imp Esp), 4 years, tri male, similar in type to winner, good mouth, excellent temperament, lovely head piece with nice dark eye, strong neck into well laid shoulders, shade steep in upper arm, not affording him the forward reach of winner, good depth of brisket and strong loins, straight back into square croup, strong well-developed hindquarters. He was sound both ways albeit slightly closer (possibly down to the fast speed he was gaited at), steady side gait showing fair reach and good hind drive, shownin excellent coat & condition.

She was sound both ways with a lovely side gait showing good reach & drive. Shown in good hard condition. The travesty about this beautiful girl she is missing an eye due to an accident as a puppy….
