2nd) Carter’s Rangali Booty Licious, also a nice hound, very well made throughout, good head and eye, sound up and back and in good coat; just not the profile of the winner today.
Open (2, 0)
1st) Carter’s Gouvier Expresso Martini JW, not a new one to me and one I have admired before, still like him a lot, very expressive, good to go over and very accurate on the move. RBOB.
2nd) Horn’s Mochras Marionette, different build to the winner, not quite the head or expression and a little more reluctant to open up on the go around; but a typical hound and well handled and presented.
Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit)
Post Graduate (3, 1)
1st) Granum and Cadmore’s Soletrader Prue Leith, lots to like; goes so well and full of life and fun. Very typical and most promising, beautiful head and eye, good to go over and very well made throughout. BOB.
2nd) Crowe’s Maudaxi Indy Rocknroll at Elsfie, very different to the winner, not the head or eye, not quite so sound on the move and could carry a little more condition. Needs a lot of time. BPIB.
Open (2, 0)
1st) Forham’s Elsfie Monsieur Oakley, typical hound, well made and good to go over. Good head and expression, enough depth to chest, firm topline and used his tail well on the move. Accurate mover. RBOB.
2nd) Reid, Reid and Crowe’s Maudaxi Fonsie Foxtrot, a typical hound, I preferred the head and movement of the winner but this one was in good nick and looked the part going around the ring.
Bloodhound
Open (2, 1)
1st) Westron’s Farlap Kaleb, gorgeous hound, beautiful head and eye, not overdone but so masculine, well made in front, super neck and shoulder, clean underline and firm topline; used his stern well & carried himself with perfect footfall from all angles. Loved him. BOB.

Not quite the typical movement of the winner on the day I thought but another who could gain a title with ease.

2nd) Carter’s Amahte’s Bewitched VW (IMP CAN) another lovely hound, so typical of the breed, liked her head and eye, not quite the freedom of movement of the winner but given her age I could, of course, forgive this. A real star and a pleasure to see her again. Thank you for bringing her.

RBOB Stakes winner was Small’s Glynlythe’s Heirloom for Devondax JW, lovely Mini Smooth, excellent head and eye, super front and keel, firm topline, well ribbed back & a most accurate mover. Beat Partridge’s Pettigans Viva La Vida by Riveroyal by a whisker.

1st) Bevis’ Souska Touch The Sky Over Starlance, super Tibetan Spaniel, so much to admire & a Ch for sure. Nothing to change at this age, excellent head and eye, so well made throughout and a really well bodied, fit dog. Lovely mover and one I very much enjoyed judging.
2nd) McCabe-Bell’s Grandtully Biddy Ford, really nice Cocker Spaniel who held her own in this big stakes; liked her head and eye which has work and detail in it, excellent front and chest, super topline, tail well set and used merrily all the time; super mover and one to be proud of.
