1st) Clarismore Crown Prince JW, Breed: Beagle (Mrs L Giles-Wyatt), lovely type, well balanced head and eye, super front and chest, firm topline and used himself well on the move, accurate away and back and carried his stern well in profile. In super condition.

2nd) Ch Altina Alabama True Romance JW, Breed: Pomeranian (Mrs C D Holman), lovely Pom who had been my BOB winner earlier in the day.

3rd) Probert Calypso, Breed: Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) (Mr & Mrs R Moore)

AVNSC Toy

1st) Xanthos von Cotonfeeling (Imp Deu), Breed: Coton De Tulear (Mrs Janet Cheshire), super Coton presented to perfection. Excellent head and eye, super pigment, good front angulation and has depth to chest, firm topline correct for the breed with well set and carried tail. Very free and easy on the move and a lovely personality.

2nd) Jocenro's Hipolita, Breed: Italian Greyhound (Mr J L Centella-Rodriguez), smart little Italian but young yet and still needing to come to hand. A little more experience required but lots to like, good head and eye, very well made throughout and I did see glimpses of soundness and accuracy.

1st) Dalton Hera from Hearmean (Imp Nld), Breed: Havanese (Mrs Janet Cheshire), beautiful Havanese, excellent head with balance and strength; good shoulder angulation and front, firm enough in topline and stands on good legs and feet. Used himself well on the move and was presented to perfection.

2nd) Jocenro's Matea, Breed: Italian Greyhound (Mr J L Centella-Rodriguez), smart Italian just a little unsettled like Hipolita, but shows lots of promise and when she gets her act together, she will have a lot of fun. In great condition and presented in peak fitness.

Open

1st) Ackra's Gondolero among Jocenro, Breed: Italian Greyhound (Mr J L Centella-Rodriguez), lovely Italian, very good to go over and very well made. Correct head and eye, good ears, neat topline and underline; very sound and accurate on the move. RBAVNSC and I see the sire of the two puppies.

2nd) Int/bel/nld Ch Cotonkiss Heaven Help Us Nlw’23 Lux Vch, Breed: Coton De Tulear (Mrs C Clarke), lovely Coton & I think one I have met before. Belies his years and is a credit to owner, in the most perfect condition and super muscletone throughout. Very good to go over, well knit and all of a piece. Sound and accurate on the move, just not quite the zest of Gondolero.

3rd) Be Cooper Novi from Hearmean (Imp Nld), Breed: Havanese (Mrs Janet Cheshire)

Chinese Crested

Post Graduate

1st) Mum's Mini Me Kiwano (Mrs Ea Eames), nice type of Puff, good make and shape, correct head and eye, quite a good front and some depth to chest, came to life on the move which is where this class was won. BOB.

2nd) Miatory Split Decision for Zanjero JW (Mrs C Piper), thought this hairless would be the winner on first glance. In very good condition and nice clean skin, good head and eye, correctly balanced throughout and in great body condition. Not quite the ease or fluidity of the winner on the move on the day. RBOB.

3rd) Exotic Spirit Vvildeers Dragon avec Michadaine JW (Ms L Bartlett)

Open

Entries: 2 Absentees: 0

1st) Michadaine Crazy for You ShCM VW ShCEx (Ms L Bartlett) belies his years and in great form, starting to show his age a little in his mouth now; but otherwise a great representative of the breed. A little close behind but his front action was quite good.

2nd) Dollondak Ezuoju Zhe (Mrs Ea Eames), quite a nice hairless and perhaps a better size than the winner; well-made throughout although I would prefer a better tail carriage on the move.

Long Coat Chihuahua

Puppy

Entries: 2 Absentees: 1

1st) Darnleys Barbie (Miss Abbie Holland), very sweet and attractive young puppy. She has a lovely head and eye, good skull & well set ears; still to fill a little in front and in body, but otherwise a useful prospect. Very good front action, if a little closer in rear, but excellent tail for both set and carriage.

Yearling

Entries: 1 Absentees: 0

1st) Baralicia Jenny Wren (Mrs S T Barker), lovely one, well made in body & presents a super outline. Good head and eye, quite feminine in outlook. Neatly made body, good muscle & used herself well on the move. RBOB.

1st) Mocha Vanilla Baralicia JW (Mrs S T Barker), lovely dog for shape and outline, I would not want him any stronger in head than this; but otherwise, he is most typical and a very sound, brisk mover. Lots to like and presented in first class order. BOB.

2nd) Lykath's Light of Earendil in Pixels JW (Mrs L Cater), quite a smart one though reluctant to show off today. Better in head than the winner, but not the body or the accuracy of the winner on the move. Could have been a little more upstanding and gone with a touch more verve. Shame the owner didn’t feel the need to take the prize card from the steward.

Smooth Coat Chihuahua

Puppy

1st) Chibull Black Cherry (Mrs J L Gallagher), cute little man, liked his head and eye but his mouth still needs to settle; good in front and fairly good body. Sound on the move but he does have a couple of “ifs” that will determine his future. BPIB.

Post Graduate

Entries: 2 Absentees: 1

1st) Baralicia Mini Maestro (Mrs S T Barker), good head and eye, correct expression and well set and used ears. Good front angulation with some depth to chest, firm topline and neat underline, and carried his tail well at all times. RBOB.

1st) Chibull Micky Mouse at Lozek (Mrs H Smith), smart and sassy, lots to like here. Good head, but his eyes are a tad prominent. Well made throughout and balanced angulation front and rear. Doesn’t need to carry any more weight than this, but a lovely mover from all angles. BOB.

English Toy Terrier

Puppy

1st) Nasabe Strikes Again (Mrs H & Mr J Haffenden & Wood), most promising youngster with a lot to like. Expressive head and eye, mouth just needs to finish as yet, super ears for both set and carriage. Tidy neck and shoulders, good chest & correct topline. Stands on good legs and feet and a super mover fore and aft & excellent carriage in profile. Coat of good colours with marginal running. BPIB, TPG1 and close up for the main awards later on.

1st) Ch Nasabe Play The Game JW ShCEx OSW (Mrs H & Mr J Haffenden & Wood), nice to get to judge this one & she is truly lovely and quite difficult to fault. A super bitch with excellent balance and she is very good to go over, all of a piece and so well knit. Perfectly conditioned and put down in the most immaculate order, a really lovely one. BOB, TG1 and later RBIS. Thank you for bringing her.

Pomeranian

Puppy

Entries: 3 Absentees: 1

1st Place) Divinity A Touch of Brooklyn at Altina (Mrs C D Holman), two lovely babies and initially I thought I would have them the other way around. Both have a lot going for them and are so typical in terms of make, shape and outline. I edged the winner marginally ahead on freedom of movement, but both were presented to perfection and put down very well.

2nd) Sharhazlah's Devil On Fire (Mr C & Misses M & M Hills)

Yearling

Entries: 2 Absentees: 1

2nd) Klassna Dreams Are Magic (Mrs L K & Mr J A Ellen), good make and shape, very expressive in head and eye, quite a sound mover from all directions and presented in good jacket, although not the coat texture of the winner.

A really good mover in profile and up and back, and presented in first class order. Thought she was lovely & a pleasure to judge her.

2nd) Klassna Magic Touch (Mrs L K & Mr J A Ellen), another very nice one, beautiful shape and size, goes so well and is very accurate from all directions. Presented in super jacket and looked a picture.
