Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired)

J (1,0) 1.  Beach’s Beachdax Ace Of Spades – 7 month old black and tan dog, correct head tapering correctly towards the tip of the nose. Almond shaped eye, and slightly arched muzzle.  Lips tightly fitting with excellent, powerful and complete dentition.  Ears set high.  Long muscular neck into correct front angulation and breastbone strong with correct depression.  Upper arm forming a slight crook around the ribcage, forearm short and strong.  Plenty of ground clearance. Strong bone, with a decided arch to the toes.  Level topline into a well angulated rear, and muscular and full rump.  Moved true fore and aft, and free and flowing in profile. Pleased to award him BP.

PG (2,0) – Beach’s Beachdax Bop To The Top – 16 month old black and tan dog who caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring.  My critique reads “just lovely”.  Correctly proportioned head, conical when viewed from the top with an almond eye. Excellent strong dentition.  Strong, muscular neck leading into excellent front angulation, with equal length of shoulder and upper arm set at a 90 degree angle.  Breast bone prominent with correct depression, with a short and strong forearm that falls directly underneath the withers, forming a slight crook. Elbows tucked in. Feet with a decided arch.  Very well-muscled throughout, thorax of full volume. He has a slight rise over his powerful loin with plenty of ground clearance.  Excellent rear angulation, with a full muscular rump. Straight, parallel hocks when viewed from the rear.  Tail of correct length.  Balanced height to length ratio. He moved true fore and aft and with a free and easy stride in profile, a joy to watch.  Delighted to award him BOB, and I’m thrilled to hear he went on to be awarded HG1 and RBIS. 2.  Somerton’s Rijobeau Pandora Boxx – 6 month old black and tan bitch.  Still a raw baby, she has a correctly proportioned head, with good front and rear angulation.  Breast bone strong with correct depression.  Plenty of ground clearance, level topline, short loin and well angulated hind quarters.  Moved well.

O (1,0) – Beach’s Beachdax Girl Of My Dreams JW – 16 month old red brindle bitch, and another quality dog from this kennel.  Correctly proportioned head, conical when viewed from above, and tapering from the side.  Slight arch to muzzle.  Powerful and strong correct dentition.  Strong muscular neck into an excellent front.  Good layback of shoulder, with equal length of upper arm returning at a 90 degree angle. Forelegs fall directly underneath the withers.  Prominent breastbone, with correct depression.  Short and strong forearm, upper arm forming a crook around her voluminous brisket.  Elbows tucked in.  Plenty of ground clearance.  Muscular and strong body, with level topline.  Excellent rear angulation with parallel hocks when viewed from the rear.  True both fore and aft, and moved around the ring with a free easy stride. Highly considered for BOB, just preferred the overall length and full rump of my PG winner.
