Lewis Olphae Governor, Otterhound, 13 month male, I liked his attitude it gave the owner a laugh when he wagged his tail in my face while I was examining him but this is what makes him what he is, good head with strong muzzle and wide nostrils, long pendulous ears set on level with the eye, long neck, good balance, deep chest, level topline, tail set high, correct harsh coat, long striding on the move. BOB.

2. Wheeler Probert Doc Martin, 7 month male, good head and dark eye, ears set on low, moderately balanced angulation, good depth of chest, was distracted on the move in this class.

Strange Amendiels Frankies Choice At Cazdachs, 11 month male who presented a nice shape on the stack, good body proportions, good head with broad skull, dark eye, ears set on high, medium length of neck into well laid shoulder, balanced angulation, forelegs straight, well ribbed, tail set high, today he needed to settle on the move but when he did he showed reach and drive. BOB and BPIB.

Hound Group

Hound Group 1 - Akehurst Tendrow Down To The Wire, Dachshund (Wire-haired), little did I know until after the group that my winner was my BPIB when I judged the breed earlier in the year, he must have left a lasting impression on me, he is continuing on his promise presenting a lovely shape on the stand and such a showman with a free flowing movement and long stride.

Hound Group 2 - Thomas Bowdonia Sky Full of Stars JW Whippet, was a close decision between this beautiful bitch and my winner. She presents a lovely picture on the stand with curves in all the right places, she has a long and lean head, small rose shaped ears, forelegs straight, deep chest, she is true on the move showing freedom of action.

Hound Group 3 - Holder & Boggia Fionn Clann Bluebelle (imp rus) Greyhound, brindle bitch, bitch, she has a long-chiselled head with slight stop, small rose shaped ears, long neck into well laid shoulder, good forechest, good angulation front and rear, moved true with a low reaching stride with hindlegs and coming well under body.

Hound Group 4 - Clark Bowerhinton Bowtruckle Rollssupremem NAF Norwegian Elkhound, this bitch presented a lovely shape on the stack, good head with dark oval eye, small ears set on high with vertical outer edge, balanced angulation front and rear, tail set on high, unfortunately the hot weather got to her today on the move, but I couldn’t ignore her on the stack.

Hound Puppy Group 1 - Thomas Bowdonia Elphaba Whippet, a very promising brindle bitch, she has a beautiful head with dark oval eye, small rose shaped ears, long neck into well laid shoulder, filled front, deep chest, definite tuck up, balanced angulation front and rear, slight spring to pastern, well developed second thigh, true coming and going.

Hound Puppy Group 2 - Simkin Simeldaka Sliema Madame Beagle, nice head and dark eye, low set long ears, scissor bite, long neck into shoulder, balanced angulation, good substance, level topline, tail set on high, sound on the move with a free action.

Rowe Ch Boloria’s Trick Or Treat JW VW, Dachshund (Wired-Haired), 9 year old quality bitch, she has a beautiful head with dark almond eye, correct head proportions, high set ears, good length of neck into well laid shoulder, prominent breastbone with forelegs at the lowest point of keel, nice ground clearance, ribs extending well back, balanced angulation, stood true, correct furnishings and coat, well-muscled, free mover in parallel showing long strides with drive. Pleased to hear that she was awarded Best Veteran In Show.

Lewis Ch Olphae Charman, Otterhound, a quality male who has a lot of breed type, he has good head proportions, deep set eye, strong muzzle, plenty of lip and flew, head covered with rough hair, long pendulous ears set on level with eye, long neck into well laid shoulder, forelegs straight and well boned, deep chest with well sprung oval ribcage, broad and level back, moderate angulation, tail set on high, correct harsh coat, moved with long strides.

Reserve Best of Breed Hound Winner - Scarlett Vanitonia Enchanted Over Michelroy JW Beagle, beautiful bitch, feminine all through, present a nice shape on the stack, head of fair length with skull slightly domed, defined stop, scissor bite, dark eye, low set ears, good length of neck into shoulder, forelegs straight and set well under, topline level, balanced angulation, feet tight, tail set on high, moved with reach and drive.
