ALASKAN MALAMUTE

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the exhibitors who entered and supported the show. My heartfelt thanks also go to the committee, my stewards and organisers for their hard work behind the scenes and for making the day run so smoothly. Your warm welcome, efficiency, and attention to detail made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

1. Colton’s' CHAYO PLAY WITH FIRE

9 months old grey and white, handsome, happy youngster presenting correct overall proportions. Masculine head developing well, showing good breadth of skull and strength of muzzle, enhanced by dark, almond-shaped eyes which convey a typical, alert expression. Although lacking his full jacket on the day, this merely served to accentuate his pleasing outline and balance. Coat of correct texture, with large, well-shaped feet and ample bone throughout. Tail carried correctly, forming a delightful waving plume on the move. A little erratic on initial movement, which made handling slightly challenging, but once settled he moved freely and with purpose, covering the ground well. A very promising young male whose development will be interesting to follow. Best Puppy and pleased to see him gaining Working Group Puppy 2.

1. Croft's DREAMWOLVES OH MY OH MY VW

8-year-old grey and white male of excellent type, presented in superb condition. Beautiful broad head with strong muzzle and well-set, thick-furred ears, giving a balanced and masculine appearance. Strong, muscular neck flowing into a solid topline and well-developed body. Chest deep with plenty of heart room, with ample bone and compact, strong feet. Good turn of stifle, allowing for powerful and purposeful movement, covering the ground with ease and strength. A mature dog who belies his years, showing both soundness and presence throughout. Delighted to award him Best of Breed, and equally pleased to see him go on to achieve Working Group 4 and AV Working Veteran 2 – both very well deserved.
