Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at your show and for your generous hospitality. I am also grateful to all the exhibitors who entered today and accepted my decisions with such good grace. A special thank you to my Ring Steward, Grant Hughes, who kept things running smoothly.

Junior Dog (1,0)

1st MORDACZ & LEWCZUK, MR & MRS A & D, Danixaris Flame Of Glory

Twelve-month-old youngster, up to size, presenting a reasonably square outline. Shows the lively, high-spirited character typical of the breed. At that “teenage” stage - a little gangly but showing promise. Pleasing head with good parallel planes, well-set ears and a bright, alert expression. Needs to drop in to himself but sufficiently developed for his age. Topline yet to firm and hocks need to strengthen with maturity. Feet could be slightly tighter but are well-arched. Moves true when settled. Sympathetically handled and fully engaged with everything around him.

Limit Dog (2,0)

1st FETTES, MRS J, Danixaris Equinox

Two year old black and tan, slightly longer cast but preferred his head to the second placed dog. Pleasing expression with well-set ears. Would prefer slightly more shoulder angulation and a touch more forechest. Straight forelegs with correct feet. Tail carried up over the back. Tends to lose his topline a little on the move. Shows some rotary drive in profile, though a little loose coming towards. Well handled. RBD

2nd MARSHALL, MS T, Brintala Apollo

Five-year-old red dog, slightly long in muzzle and would prefer a stronger underjaw. Planes fairly parallel with a pleasing, typical expression. Good depth of chest. Pasterns could be firmer and feet tighter. Compact in outline, though falls away a little over the croup. Moves soundly but could show a little more animation. Well presented and in good condition.

Open Dog (2,1)

1st LOWE, MISS C, Danixaris Daydreamer

Three-year-old red dog presenting a typical outline with a masculine, well-proportioned head. Parallel planes and lovely dark eye though I would prefer a touch more strength in underjaw. Good depth of chest and well-ribbed back. Moderate but balanced angulations fore and aft. Moves true coming and going, with just a little less rotary action behind than ideal. Beautifully presented and well handled. BD & RBIS

Veteran Dog (1,0)

1st MORDACZ & LEWCZUK, MR & MRS A & D Calvaxar Bad Boy Lincoln at Danixaris

Ten-year-old dog in remarkable condition for his age, moving and looking like a much younger dog. Presents a reasonably square outline, soundly made and full of typical breed character. Strong head with parallel planes, oval eyes and a lively, spirited expression. Good depth of chest. Profile movement really typical with pleasing reach and rotary drive, holding his outline well. A credit to his owners, beautifully presented and handled. BVIS

Post Graduate Bitch (5,1)

1st CLARK, Ms S Hickson Valkyria for Maxally (Imp Swe)

Two-year-old black and tan bitch with a feminine, well-proportioned head and typical alert expression. Right ear not folding quite as neatly as the left. Elegant neck with well arched nape flowing into a clean topline with good depth of chest. Would prefer a touch more hind angulation to balance her outline. Feet could be slightly tighter but are well arched. Moved soundly, showing correct carriage and attitude. Well presented and very well handled.

2nd WAKEFIELD, Mrs K Shire of Odensala Queen Narissa (Imp Swe)

Three-year-old black and tan bitch of good type and proportions but giving her handler a hard time today which affected her outline. Feminine head with dark eyes, slightly rounder eye than ideal. Pleasing neck. Moderate but balanced angulations. Would benefit from more confidence and ring training to show herself to advantage. Loses her topline a little on the move. Typey bitch with much to like once settled.

Limit Bitch (1,0)

1st WAKEFIELD, Mrs K Witzend Shady Lady at Brintala

Four-year-old red bitch presenting a square and compact outline. Feminine head with typical expression, dark oval eyes and parallel planes. Slightly broad through the body but balanced overall. Good depth of chest and straight forelegs. Feet could be a little more arched. Holds her topline on the move, showing a pleasing profile gait though a touch wide coming towards. Docked tail. Typical short, glossy coat well presented. RBB

Open Bitch (3,1)

1st WAKEFIELD, Mrs K Brintala Angel Lynn (Re-Imp)

Three-year-old bitch of very good overall type, presenting a reasonably square and balanced outline. Alert and self-possessed, showing typical breed character. Feminine head with lovely, attentive expression, dark, oval eye and well-set ears. Parallel planes and sufficient strength of muzzle. Maintains a firm topline on the move with pleasing depth of chest and well-placed forelegs. Feet neat and compact. Moved cleanly coming and going and showing some reach and drive in profile. Well presented in excellent condition. BB & BIS

2nd MORDACZ & LEWCZUK, MR & MRS A & D Danixaris Cherry Blossom

Four-and-a-half-year-old black and tan bitch, slightly longer cast than first. Feminine head with appealing expression, alert and attentive to her handler. Would prefer slightly more parallel planes. Good depth of chest. Slight arch over her longer loin which affects balance and topline a little. Tail well placed. Moves true coming but a little close going. Very well presented and well handled.
