I would like to thank the committee and exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to judge this well run and friendly show, having done the SAC classes just after covid restrictions were eased a little, it was nice to have more interaction with everyone this time.
There were some excellent dogs at the show, overall type and presentation was very good and most moved well. Whilst we all may be concerned over the lack of no.s at shows overall, I had a solid entry, it was nice to see a good proportion of males and some great puppies. I was so impressed with my top winners and there were some really close calls. Below are my thoughts on the class winners and 2nds.
Veteran Dog
1. Moore Astromelias Ulises Via Caprioara Lovely start to my day, 7 year old sable male who really stood out, in good coat, he stood so well in profile, with a very pleasing head, lovely topline and well-constructed with correct angles front and rear, excelled on the move where he was not only clean coming and going but covered the ground effortlessly in profile which edged him the class, today he was my Best Male, Best Veteran and RBIS
2. Williams Ch Mejola Fate and Fortune. 8-year-old merle and another top quality male in great condition, super in size with bone to compliment, great expression, well tipped ears, correct in angles, lovely topline, moved clean and correct, such a close call.
3. Bartram Ambartz King of the Ring
Res. Hull Lizmark Gold Soverign
Minor Puppy Dog
1. Randall Ladnar Call my name 8 ½ month merle who is coming on nicely, good size and bone for age, clean, blunt muzzle well-proportioned to skull, eyes OK, wouldn’t like to see them any tighter, has plenty of chest and length of leg is good, held a nice topline and moved steadily, would have liked to see him open up a bit more. BPD.
2. French Breckamore Paddington. 7 month sable of good size, would like to see a little more bone but it has time o his side, excellent head, clean and a super expression, was angled ok in front and topline was correct, let down a bit by his movement atm, slight overreach in profile and very untidy going away.
Puppy Dog
1. Randall Ladnor Call me maybe. 8 ½ month merle, of good size and nice substance, looked very nice in profile, good length to muzzle, again, eyes no tighter please, nice deep chest with good width, little up in front angle atm, held a good topline, angle of stifle OK, moved steadily in profile, just a little untidy going, hence lost out to his litter brother in the male puppy challenge.
Junior Dog – No entries
Sp Yearling Dog
1. Williams Mejola Top Gun JW 21month sable who I really liked and considered later in the challenge, nice size and just so well balanced, excellent head, creating that perfect wedge, super expression, lovely eye and well-shaped, set and tipped ears, enough bone and a nice depth to chest, held forelegs nice and straight, lovely topline and well angled stifle, moved with a great balance and correct footfall.
2. Collino Imaginist A Griffins Mark 20month tri of medium size but well proportioned, very nice clean head, good underjaw ,correct eye shape and carried ears well. He was well put together, good angles and enough depth to chest, held a very good topline, good angle of stifle and moved cleanly with correct footfall.

2. Skinner Ladnor Makeithappen for Nikal 2 year old merle of good size, balanced throughout, good length of clean muzzle, clear eyes, ears well tipped could take them a tad closer, good neck and well laid shoulder, enough bone and straight forelegs, excellent depth of chest and nicely ribbed, held a very good topline with good sweep over croup, stifle angle is ok, well-muscled and moved cleanly away and very good in profile.

1. Chaplin Takhisis Lysander 2-year-old sable, presented in good coat, muzzle clean with well-shaped eye and very nice set ears well tipped, had enough lay of shoulder and depth to chest , I could take him a tad wider in chest, held a good topline, moved OK in profile but could have been a bit tidier going
2. Alexander Ingledene Aramis Aw(s) 6 year old sable who presented a good outline, clean muzzle with good eye and ears, good reach to neck and enough length to foreleg, would have liked him a little wider throughout, moved steady all round.

Minor Puppy Bitch
1. Davis Wincani Bellissima Rosschell. I was so impressed by this 6month merle, who took to the ring as if she was born to it. Beautifully presented she stood 4 square on request showing a stunning outline, head in great proportion, clean well-shaped muzzle good in eye and ear, with a sweep of neck to well laid shoulder, already has good depth and held her forelegs straight to well angled pasterns and neat feet, lovely proportion to body and held a great topline with a slight rise over loin to well-rounded croup, enough turn of stifle which should develop with age, moved so well for one so young, showing well and enjoying her time in the ring. My best puppy on the day and if she carries on like this she could be a superstar in the making. BPIS
2. Beardsworth Wincani Dulcibella Gyda Maysinder, all the constructional aspects of 1, just lacking the presentation and finesse, however there is still plenty of time for her. Loved her expression and ear set and tip, good straight front and of lovely proportions, moved cleanly with good footfall.
3. Gatt Wincani Belladonna
Puppy Bitch
1. Bartram Ambartr’s Dignity and Pride 11month good size, sable female who still had good balance, clean muzzle to lovely eye and correct ear set, super reach to neck, lay of shoulder ok, maybe a tad more as she holds her forelegs a little forward, chest of nice depth, enough bone for her size, pasterns could tighten a fraction and probably will as she is a big girl still filling out. Held a lovely topline with a good sweep over croup to well set and long tail, moved cleanly and with good footfall, really unlucky to come across the super MPB in the challenge.
2. Gatt Wincani Belladonna. Although 3rd in the MPB class I really liked this young baby tri. She is of nice size well balanced with a lovely expression with well-shaped eye, good ears, plenty of bone with good depth to chest, held her topline OK and has a lovely turn to stifle, when moving she showed some good footfall in profile and was clean enough going away.
3. Corben Omordha Wishing Dream
Res. Edwards Beldones Summer Dreams
Junior Bitch.
1. Bartram Ambartr’s Dignity and Pride. See Puppy Bitch.
2. Moore Atirakin path of Cassiopeia via Caprioara very sweet 17 month tri, with a beautiful expression enhanced by her spectacle markings, head of good wedge shape, plenty of neck and OK lay to shoulder, I could take a tad more bone for her size and little more length to foreleg to balance her topline, Ok turn of stifle, moved well all round but tail carriage a little high.
Sp. Yearling Bitch
1. Collino Imaginsist My Fair Lady. 19 month sable, very nice size and in super proportion of length, and head to body, just felt she could do with a little more width throughout to really balance her, such a delightful expression, lovely clean well-shaped muzzle, with a good transition through stop to flat topskull, held ears up today, lovely reach to neck shoulder lay just OK as held forelegs just a tad further forward than ideal, good topline, very nice rear construction low in hock with good turn to stifle, moved cleanly going away and was steady and correct in profile.
2. Pearson Brilyn Make me sunshine at Garbh. Med sized tri of 20 months, very pretty, with lovely eye, well-shaped muzzle, good sweep from neck to shoulders which were a little upright. Held her forelegs straight with good pasterns and plenty of bone for size, however she is a little short in foreleg length which impacts on her topline especially on the move, but she has a good rear and was clean and steady in movement.
3. Williams Mejola Federal Reserve
Post Grad Bitch.
1. Beardsworth Maysinder Sapphire Reign. Winner of this good class was this very nice, well-presented 3 year merle, good straight muzzle and correct plane alignment, clean well-shaped eye and well tipped ears, good reach of neck to well laid shoulders, deep chest with enough width and bone for size, foreleg length just Ok, but held a very good topline, good sweep of croup to stifles of just enough turn. Moved cleanly coming and going and covered ground well in profile.
2. Bartram Ambartr Eternal Spirit, 4 year old sable who was so pretty, she seemed so happy in the ring, good in muzzle and nice flat topskull, good in neck to an OK lay of shoulder, held her forelegs straight, with enough spring to pastern, held a good topline, could take a fraction more turn of stifle for me, moved OK going and well balanced in profile.
3. Hull Lizmark Diamonds Forever
Res. Whitaker Siluto Silvary Blue Moon
Limit Bitch
1. French Breckamore Pitch Dark 3 year old, medium sized tri, who was presented in such beautiful coat condition, good expression, clean in muzzle, which has depth and creates a correct wedge, eyes clean and well-shaped, ears tipped and set well, she has a well laid shoulder and held her forelegs straight, which were just long enough for her size, nice depth to chest, held a super topline with good sweep over croup, going away she could have been a little cleaner, but moved well in profile.
2.Whitaker Siluto Blueberry Mist JW another nice female, a merle of 2 years of good balance, lovely expression, muzzle deep, maybe she could be a tad stronger in underjaw, lovely eyes and well set tipped ears, nice reach to neck, good forelegs of enough bone, held a level back with good sweep over croup, tail set OK with length only just to hock, moved cleanly going and well in profile, very close call in this class.
3. Hull Lizmark Diamonds Forever
Open Bitch
1. Mellish Demelewis Double Take 4-year-old tri who took top honours today, such a lovely balance and looked and moved like she could do a long days work. Loved her outline, pretty in expression with correct blunt muzzle, strong underjaw and straight top line to good transition through stop to flat topskull, held her ears well, enough neck to very well laid shoulders enabling forelegs to be held under withers, forelegs held straight, of enough bone with correct bend of pastern and neat oval feet, had a good depth to chest and well sprung in ribs, held her back level, in profile I wondered if she had too much rise over loin but under examination the excess was coat, she had a good turn of stifle, moved very cleanly going out and showed a real balance in profile with some nice drive and moved effortlessly around the ring to just pip the male and claim Best in Breed for me today.
