South Western Toy dog Club

Breed: Papillon
South Western Toy Dog Club Papillon Supported by The South Wales Papillon Club Many thanks to the committee of SW Toy Dog for the invitation to judge Papillon at this show and to my steward Jo for her hard work. I had a good entry of 30, with few absentees. Lots of quality Papillon’s in the South West. It was also nice to have 2 Phalene’s to judge too. Puppy Dog (5,1) Two nice puppies to start the day. 1 Olof’s Tarnock Love In Paris, tri, promising puppy, he has a super head, skull is slightly rounded between the ears, fine muzzle, large, mobile ears with good fringing, dark, round eyes with a typical expression, well laid shoulders into a long topline, tail is long, and set on high and carried over the back on the move. Sound mover with light, free flowing movement. RBPIS 2 Stanbury Inxia Glamorous Guy, b/w, he has a typical outline, pleasing head qualities, so well balanced throughout, thought he would be my winner on first look, however did not have the body of 1 today, lovely rear angulation and again a sound mover, I’m sure these two will swap places today. 3 Morris & Orchard’s Panspayon Starlite Express. Junior Dog (2) 1 Olof’s CH Tarnock Wiggle Giggle JW, B/W, gorgeous boy and I can see why he is a Champion, beautiful head piece, excellent eye & expression & lovely ears, super neck & topline, tail set on high and carried over the back. Hare feet. He was slightly distracted today which did affect his movement somewhat, but when he did get together he floated. Hope to see him again. RBD 2 Casey & Stanbury Inxia Happy Hour for Shamal, smaller than 1 but all in proportion, typical head properties, nice eye & expression, well set ears, body is of good length & shown in good coat. Positive mover. Novice Dog (3,2) 1 Stanbury Inixia Finest Hour, R/W, 14 months, outgoing boy, well balanced & of good size, pleasing head with lovely eye & expression, fine muzzle, large, well used ears with good fringing, firm neck into good length of body, straight front, tail set high & carried over the back. Moved well. Nice neck into well laid shoulders, Good length to body, well set tail and a sound mover. Open Dog (2) 1 Davidson-Poston’s CH Multi CH Rom Gr CH Sky Butterfly Elven Cron Prince Spinillons ShCEX Sk Winner23 (imp Rus) eye-catching, handsome tri Papillon, love his breed type and expertly presented as expected. Pleasing head shape, fine muzzle lovely fringing to his large, well placed ears which are always used to advantage, super body, correct feet, tail is set correctly and carried well on the move. Good length to body, firm topline, tail carried correctly on the stand and on the move. 2 Olof’s Tarnock Rosaline, S/W, another quality bitch, she too had a nice head, large ears, good neck into well laid shoulders and decent length to body. Tail carried correctly. Lovely feet. Preferred front movement of 1 today. 3 Orchard’s Panspayon Sapphire Junior Bitch (2) 1 Davidson-Poston’s Spinillons Rebel Alliance, classy tri bitch, good head proportions, ears well fringed, straight front, correct feet, standing on fine bone, well angulated rear, tail set carried correctly. Super mover, floating round the ring. RBB. 2 Olof’s Tarnock Joyful Juliet, B/W, 9 months and giving a lot away in maturity here. Pretty head and expression, ears good, fine bone, pasterns could tighten yet. Tailset OK, moved well. Novice Bitch (2,1) 1 Olaf’s Tarnock Do The Salsa, 6 months Phalene and at her first show, such a sweetie. She has the most endearing eyes and expression. Ears are to settle yet but that will come. Good neck into well laid shoulders, topline firm for age. Did not use her tail to advantage today but that will come. Moved out well. Open Bitch (6,2) 1 Orchard’s Panspayon Pennyroyale, 23 months B/W, instantly caught my eye for her overall breed type and balance, she has a lovely silhouette. She has such a pretty head with round, dark eyes. Super large ears with excellent fringing. Straight front, standing on fine bone, and lovely hare-like feet. Her body is of good length, with a firm topline. Her tail is long, set on high and carried over the back on the move with a lovely plume. Effortless mover. Shown in excellent coat & condition. Surely a champion for the future. BOB. 2 Morrell’s Aurora Vom Schwabenhof for Temelora (imp Deu), tri colour phalene, well balanced, pleasing head with dark eyes, ears are dropped correctly for a Phalene. Super neck into well laid shoulders, straight front and standing on fine bone. Lovely coat texture & tail carried over her level topline on the move. Another sound mover. 3 Orchard’s Panspayon Natasha. Domenico Santoriello
