Firstly, I would like to thank the society for kindly inviting me to judge and to all exhibitors for their entries. Also thank you to my efficient steward Adrian who looked after me with expertise.

Jack Russell Terriers

Puppy (1)

1st Lane & Lane-Ridyard, Mr & Mrs R S & Mrs P, Kulawand Skip N’Be Merry, 10 month old bitch. Presents a lovely silhouette with a level topline and correct tail set, feminine head with an excellent ear set, correct dark eye. Excellent, strong scissor bite. She is easily spannable, has a good coat and loose pelt. Moved ok, although a little close behind RBOB & BPIB

Post Graduate (3)

1st Klocankova & Pool, Miss L & Mr G, Shadlisa Dream Girl, 1 year old bitch. A smart little lady, feminine head with a good ear set and used her ears well, correct mouth, dark eye. Level topline and good tail set, good coat and pelt, easily spannable. Moved well.

2nd Porter-Manning & Porter, Mrs A R & Mr G, Roxway Sunflower Among Wallaroo, 2 year old bitch. A sweet lady, lovely expression, head spoilt by a low ear set, not as level in topline as one, she has a good coat and pelt, easily spannable. Moved ok, a little close behind.

Open (2)

1st Lane & Lane-Ridyard, Mr & Mrs R S & Mrs P, Kulawand White Diamond, I first judged this young man as a 6 month old dog and thought then that he had great promise. I still think the same, he has a confident, cheeky temperament. Has a strong head, flat skull and neat well-set ears, excellent strong bite. Lovely straight front and excellent rear, with a level topline and well-set tail. Fabulous coat, loose pelt, easily spannable. Moved well with reach and drive. BOB and pleased to see him shortlisted in the group.

2nd Marchant, Miss S J, Vixenview Bluff, 15 month old bitch. A pretty girl although reluctant to use her ears, dark eye, good mouth. Has a lovely relationship with her handler and moved happily around the ring.

Parson Russell Terriers

Puppy (3)

1st Woods & Boorman, Mrs S & Master B, Wayward Timeless, 11 month old dog. Loved this boy, he has a fabulous masculine wedge head, a dark, cheeky eye, very neat ears, excellent mouth, scores well on bone, has tight neat feet. Good coat, loose pelt and easily spannable. Once settled he moved very well, getting better as he settled. Please to award him BOB, BPIB & great to see him take puppy group 4.

2nd Young, McCluskey & Shakeshaft, Mrs J, Mr P & Mrs N, Bardreain’s lady Of Chadbrook, 9 month old bitch. A feminine head, but would prefer a smaller ear, good dentition, dark eye. Good coat and loose pelt, easily spannable. Moved well.

Post Graduate(2)

1st Woods & Boorman, Mrs S & Master B, Wayward Timeless see puppy.

2nd Nixon, Mrs S, Gonetoground Fashion, 23 month old bitch. Feminine head, dark eye, scissor bite, well set ears. Well balanced although tail set a little low. Good coat, pelt, easily spannable. Moved well.

Open (5,4)

1st Krimmel, Mrs L A, Draytogo Vienna, 2 year old bitch. Beautiful feminine wedge head, although would prefer a smaller ear, scissor bite, dark eye. Well balanced all through with a lovely hind leg, stands on neat feet, good coat and pelt, spannable. Moved very well. RBOB

2nd Shakeshaft, Kemp & Kemp, Mrs N, Ms H & Mr E, Chadbrook Risk And Reward Into Levushka, 2 year old bitch. Smaller than one, another lovely wedge head with neat ears, she has a keen expression, good coat, pelt and spannable. Another good mover, close call with 1.

Manchester Terriers

Post Graduate (3,2)

1st Bailey & Hancocks, Miss L & Mr G, Rattustrap Crimes At Night, 13 month old dog. A nice sized dog, strong wedge head with a well set ear, dark almond eye and good dentition. Correct markings and a lovely coat. Holds a level topline, moved out well.

2nd Earle Mr R, Rattustrap Beer Humbug, 2 ½ year old dog. A larger dog than one, wedge head, dark eye, good bite, ears were ok. Correct markings. Moved ok but not the drive of one.

Open (3,2)

1st Walshaw, Mr M & Mrs J, Ch Kentwone Lyra At Janmark JW, 3 year old bitch. I’ve always admired this bitch from afar, today it was lovely to finally get to study her close up, to me she is the epitome of the breed standard, the perfect size, oozes feminity and elegance, and although she wasn’t keen on the ring today she showed enough to see that she moves with drive and purpose, pleased to award her BOB & to see her go group 3.

2nd Warner,Mr F & Mrs P, CH Talanors Time For Fun ShCEx, 6 year old dog. Unlucky to meet one today. A strong masculine head, wedge shaped with very well set ears. He has dark sparkly eyes a strong scissor bite, straight front and sufficiently angled hind leg, well balanced throughout. Dark, shiny coat and clear tan markings. Moved very well. RBOB.
