Critique

Shetland Sheepdog

Puppy (4 entries, 1 absent)

1st. Rennison’s Karamel Kiss Ze Shetlandu by Zaniah (ImpCze). Sable bitch with lovely head and eye shape, good front and OK feet. Good length of rib with balanced hindquarters and good tail. Moved the best out of the three puppies today. Nice coat and condition. Best Puppy in Breed.

2nd. Mettan-Ure’s Savendie Meleys. Tri Coulour bitch with lovely head and eye shape and a good front. Balanced hindquarters and overall, a good outline. Moved well but stride was shorter than the winner.

3rd. Beynon’s Lirren Team Spirit

Junior (2 entries)

1st. Clough-Diprose’s Auberswell Star Trooper. Sable bitch of lovely type with super head and ears. Good front and feet with balanced rib to loin proportions and nice coat and overall condition. Moved well enough to win this class.

2nd. Rennison’s Zaniah’s Illusionist. Blue Merle, 11 months old with overall good head proportions and good front and nice feet. Well ribbed up and good topline, Moved OK.

Postgraduate (4 entries, 1 absent)

1st. Cheal’s Valdosta Galadriel at Faemadra JW. Sable bitch with lovely head and eyes and good ears when she used them. Good length of neck going into nice shoulders with balanced body and hindquarters. Lovely coat and condition and sound free and easy mover.

2nd. Singh’s Sheltysham Pierrot at Trenic. Sable of good breed type with nice head and eye shape and good ears. Good enough front and feet. Moved OK, flying her tail a bit today.

3rd. Sendall’s Sendora To Be Special

1st. Mitchell’s Valdosta Goddess JW. Sable bitch with super feminine head, lovely eye shape and good ears. Very good feet and front and nice length of neck. Excellent coat texture and good depth of chest with balanced body proportions. Lovely free and easy mover. Happy to award Best of Breed in today’s entry.

2nd. Hull’s Mohnesee’s Dream Date of Lizmark JW. 7-year-old male with lovely masculine head and good ears, super coat texture and overall balanced front and back. Another lovely moving dog and happy to award Reserve Best of Breed.

3rd. Sendall’s Sendora Songbird

Boxer

Puppy (1 entry)

1st. Pearn’s Bonmac Little Star. Promising young brindle bitch who was being a madam for her handler today. Lovely head with good muzzle to skull proprtions, nice strong chin and good eye shape. Super crested neck going into a good front with well laid shoulders and a nice square outline. Well muiscled for her age and moved well when settled. Best Puppy and Puppy Group 2.

Junior (1 entry)

1st. Mitchell’s Diceulon Lulahmitz Surprise Surprise. Brindle bitch who scortes well in head with good muzzle to skull proportions and nice ears and expression. Good length of neck going into a good enough front with good feet. Depth of chest is coming but right for age. A touch longer in loin than I’d prefer but a good back end. She didn’t move at her best today but showed good drive when she was settled.

Postgraduate (4 entries)

1st. Pearn’s Bonmac Little Bo Peep. 5 yewar old bitch of nice breed type and mother to my puppy winner. Good head with nice muzzle to skull proportions going into a good neck with well laid shoulders and a good front and forechest. Nice depth of chest and good feet. Overall, a good square outline and moved well.

2nd. Longley’s Limkyns Moonlight Tango with Attomic. Brindle male with lovely masculine head with a nice strong chin and good flews. Another with a good front and good feet. Overall balanced with good depth of chest and nice short loin. Still needs to mature but moved well.

3rd. Merritt’s Diceulon Top Hat and Tails at Merquin

1st. Wheller’s Olibetay Bella Rose at Hipkins JW. Lovely bitch of super breed type. Really liked her head which was feminine but still retained strength required for the breed with good muzzle to skull proportions, a nice strong chin with well placed flews and good eyes and ears. Super crested neck going into a very good front with plenty of forechest, nice depth and strong short loin. Excellent feet and pasterns and balanced strong hindquarters in super muscled condition. Lovely mover in all directions. A quality bitch with lots to like, happy to award Best of Breed and Working Group 1 in today’s entry.

AVNSC Working

Puppy (5 entries, 3 absent)

1st. Evans’ Etterbern Made in Essex for Evansly (Bernese Mountain Dog). Typey Bernese with lovely head and eye shape, good ears and a nice strong neck. Exceleltn front with well laid shoulders, super feet and good depth of chest for her age. Excellent topline which she held well on the move and balanced well angled rear which she used well on the move. Lovely strong movement, especially in profile. Happy to award Best Puppy in Breed and Puppy Group 1. Delighted to see she went RBPIS.

2nd. Bailey’s Skjaergaardens Dance with me Tonight (Leonberger). Promising young Leo who is still very raw. Super head and eye shape and excellent ears. Nice length of neck going into a good front. Still needs to fill in chest as still a real baby in terms of development. Good feet. A touch bum high today and still needs to strengthen in rear. Lots of maturing to do but where they should be for age.

1st. Osborne’s Nexgen All Eyez on Me (Leonberger). 5-year-old Leonberger bitch who is feminine with a good head and eye shape. Good length of neck and very good front with good feet and depth of chest. Lovely topline and nice strong hindquarters. Good coat texture and in good condition overall. Moved well. Best AVNSC and Group 4.

1st. Bailey’s Skjaergaardens Dance with me Tonight (Leonberger)

Junior (3 entries, 1 absent)

1st. Kichenside’s Deltarott Din Djarin (Rottweiler) Male Rottweiler with super masculine head and lovely eye shape. The better front of the two in this class with a good strong neck, well laid shoulders and plenty of bone. Good depth of chest and nice topine. Lovely mover, especially in profile.

2nd. Smith’s Jaegerot Mr Marvellous (Rottweiler). Another Rott male, not as mature as the winner but still with a good head and expression. Acceptable front and still needs to drop in chest. Good topline but still needs to come together on the move.

1st. Wall’s Khaneve Luvly Jubly for Jarjarjinx (Dobermann). Brown and Rust Dobermann bitch of nice breed type with a good head, feminine throughout and lovely eye shape. Good length of neck going into a nice front with well laid shoulders and OK feet. Nice depth of chest with well angulated hindquarters. Moved well.

Veteran (2 entries, 1 absent)

1st. Nicholl’s Ch Arcticskies Black Truffle for Shyllar (Siberian Husky). Quality Siberian Husky from the top drawer. Excellent head and expression, lovely eye shape and ears. Superb front with correct lay of shoulder, blanaced return of upper arm and super bone and feet. Good depth of chest with ribs of good length and nice strong loin. Excellent strong hindquarters and super, effortless mover in all directions. Best Working veteran and not surprised she went Best Veteran in Show.
