Airedale Terrier
Open (1 entry)
1st. Edington-Hall’s Est Etian Novus Angelus Mit Wendaire (Imp Ukr) JW. 22-month-old male of good breed type with a well-proportioned head, nice flat skull and strong underjaw. Eyes a touch rounder than I’d like but good ears. Nice strong neck going into a good lay of shoulder with sufficient return of upper arm and good feet. Well ribbed up with strong loin and well-set tail. Hindquarters could be stronger going away however super profile movement and presented in good harsh jacket and condition. Best of Breed.
Bedlington Terrier

1st. Hart’s Silverkinn Spice Girl. Liver bitch who scored well in head and eye shape with good strong jaws and going into a good neck. Nice curves and overall outline with good enough shoulders and a nice tuck up with tight small feet. Balanced hindquarters. Moved OK, not as positive in front as the open winner. RBOB

1st. Nind’s Devleigh True Blue. Workmanlike terrier of good breed typ with super head and eye shape, good ears and strong jaws. The better front of the two entered today with a very nice length of neck and lovely feet. Nice top and under lines with good tuck up and good hindquarters. Moved well and happy to award Best of Breed.

1st. Burrage’s Lojza Garex (Imp Cze). Promising 14-month-old male who was overwhelmed today. Lovely head and eye shape with super strong muzzle and good ears. Very good front and forechest with strong loin and balanced hindquarters. Really not happy today on the table or moving which is a shame as he has lots to like, needs time and nurturing.

1st. Burrage’s Komidion Sonata for Sametova JW. Quality 5-year-old male with super head and eye shape, lovely ears and strong neck. Excellent front and forechest with well sprung ribs and a strong loin. Well-muscled hindquarters and good topline. Super movement and overall excellent coat and condition. Best of Breed.
2nd. Burrage’s Ch Sametova Bacary. Another with a quality head and eye shape and very good front. Super outline overall with well sprung ribs and a good topline. Not as positive on the move as the winner but another excellent Cesky. Reserve Best of Breed.
Glen of Imaal Terrier
Junior (3 entries, 2 absent)
1st. Hannington’s Boudivella Love Story. Quality young wheaten male who really caught my eye. Lovely strong head with balanced skull to muzzle proportions and a good eye shape and ears. Excellent length of strong neck going into a super front with good feet and well sprung ribs and slightly rising topline. Excellent harsh coat texture with good muscle tone and sound movement. Happy to award this promising young dog Best of Breed.
Postgraduate (3 entries, 1 absent)
1st. Hannington’s Boudivella’s Fire Cracker JW. Blue bitch with a very good head, strong foreface and nice eyes and ears. The better front of the two in this class with good feet and well spring ribs and overall, a good topline. Could be carrying a couple less pounds but moved well, especially in profile.
2nd. Fraser’s Amhard Runrig. This male was suffering in the heat of the day which affected his movement. He scores well in head qualities being masculine and balanced with good eyes and rose shaped ears and a nice strong neck. Not quite as good in front as the winner but has well sprung ribs and a decent topline.

1st. Hannington’s Ch/Int/ Bel/ Nl/Esp Ch Boudivella Osca VW. Quality 11-year-old male with super strong head and lovely eye shape and rose ears. Good muscular neck going into an excellent front with plenty of bone and good feet. Well sprung ribs with good topline going into a strong well-muscled hindquarter. Not as positive in movement as his young kennel mate with his age possibly just getting the better of him, however scores highly on breed specific points and well-deserved reserve best of breed.

1st. Holbam Midsummer Knight at Ruffmar (AI) JW ShCEx OSW. 3-year-old male of good breed type with a lovely head and eye shape, super strong muzzle and underjaw and good ears. Strong neck going into a good enough front with nice feet. Well sprung ribs with excellent coat texture and well-muscled hindquarters. Moved well with good drive. Best of Breed.

1st. Lancaster and Rosser’s Erkenwyne Wildfire. 2-year-old male with good head proportions, lovely eye and expression and nice ears. Good length of neck going into a good front with nice feet. Good body proportions with nice topline and balanced hindquarters. Lovely coat colour and condition, just struggling a bit in the heat today. Moved OK. Best of Breed.

1st. Greenwood’s Petmon Royal Ruffian JW. Black male with super head and strong jaw, flat skull and good ears. Strong neck going into a good front with excellent topline and balanced rear. Well set tail and lovely coat texture. Super sound mover, just carrying a couple more pounds than I’d like. A lovely dog, however. Best of Breed.

1st. Salmon’s Obi Wan Kenobi of Kindergarten at Seasmolt (Imp Hun). 13-month-old male who stood alone today. Good breed type with lovely head and skull proportions overall, nice eye shape and good ears. OK front, still needs to mature but has good forechest and enough spring of rib. Balanced hindquarters and well set on tail. Moved positively overall, a young dog with plenty of promise. Best of Breed.
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier

1st. John’s Dohoci Cariad. 14-month-old bitch with a pretty feminine head, lovely eye shape and good ears. Nice length of neck going into a good front with good length of rib and nice short loin. Balanced hindquarters and well-set tail. Lovely coat texture and colour. Moved soundly with good drive at rear but still needing to mature.

Two very nice bitches of different styles.
1st. Hughlock’s Keevasdream Ballerina Blue JW. Lovely feminine head with super eye shape and excellent ears. The better front of the two in this class wih a nice strong neck and good feet. Well sprung ribs with a nice short loin and good topline, balanced well angulated hindquarters and well-set tail. Lovely square outline and lovely coat and condition. Excellent movement which won her the class. Best of breed.
2nd. Johnstone and Blackhall’s Rouxboos Varga Girl. Another nice bitch with excellent head and eye shape and lovely coat and colour. Not quite as good in front as the winner but overall, a nice square outline with balanced hindquarters and overall good movement. Reserve Best of Breed.
Chow Chow

1st. Small’s Blue Bang. Blue male with nice clean eye and balanced skull with well padded short muzzle and nice small ears. Nice length of neck going into an acceptable front with good feet. Well sprung ribs with short square loin and moderate hindquarters. Well set tail and in excellent coat and condition. Not the weather for Chows being too warm, however he moved well enough to win Best of Breed.
Basset Hound

1st. Cooper’s Houndsbay Vito Andolini. Tri colour male with super head, balanced head planes and slightly domed skull with lovely clean eyes of good shape and low set ears of good length. Excellent length of neck going into a very good front with nice tight elbows and super feet. Good length of well sprung rib with good forechest and strong hindquarters. Well set stern carried on the move. Lovely free movement with plenty of drive. Reserve best of breed.
2nd. Gray’s Short Legs Reijvi Light Up The Sky at Bassoto (Imp NLD). Orange and White bitch with a super feminine head and lovely eye shape. Balanced skull with good head planes and low set ears. Another very good front with good feet and well ribbed up. Strong well-muscled hindquarters. Lovely sound mover with plenty to like.
3rd. Gray’s Forever Long Ears Love at the First Sight at Bassotto (Imp Hun)

1st. McLean’s Switherland Gabriella at Stokewood. Quality red and white bitch with with super head proportions and lovely clean well-shaped eye. Lovely ears of good length and very good feet. Excellent front with super forechest and well sprung ribs of good length with balanced hindquarters and well-set stern. Excellent condition overall and super mover with free action and powerful drive from behind. Best of breed in this lovely entry today.
Finnish Lapphund
Puppy (2 entries)
1st. Jarvis’s Elbreth Nuka. 7-month-old puppy with super head and dark oval eye. Still needs to grow into his ears however a super neck going into a very good front with excellent feet. Ribs nicely sprung for age with short loin and well angulated balanced hindquarters. Good coat and tail, set correctly. Lovely mover once he settled with the stronger hindquarters of the two pups. Best Puppy.
2nd. Aristides-Pickard Muzoku We Can Be Heroes. More mature puppy with a masculine head and lovely expression. Good enough front and feet with good spring of rib and nice short loin. Super coat and tail. Not as strong in the rear as the winner and tending to pace on the move today.

1st. Fowler’s Whinfoss Kesanlehvisto at Lapinruska (AI). Wolf sable bitch with a feminine head and good eye shape. OK ears. Good enough front with balanced rib to loin proportions. Excellent tail set and plum and nice mover. Still needs to mature and develop but plenty to like.

1st. Artiside-Pickard’s Sambreeze Tiianmaria. Blakc and silver bitch of lovely type with good head and eye shape, good front and very good feet. Well sprung ribs with balanced hindquarters and good coat and tail. Lovely mover and at 11 years old defies her age. Beat the junior winner on maturity. Reserve Best of Breed.

Excellent length of neck going into a very good front with well sprung ribs, nice short loin and well angulated balanced hindquarters. Typical side gait with strength and power showing lovely reach and drive. Gleaming coat and well-muscled condition.
2nd. Whateley’s Arkadian Alfredo Ferrari (Bolognese). Balanced young male of super breed type with lovely head, eye shape and pigment. Excellent front with balanced hindquarters and super sound movement. Lovely white flocked coat and presented in super condition.
3rd. Milham’s Droydales One and Only at Shadowshack JW (GSD)

1st. Williams and Toublic’s Cobhay Fancy Phlox (English Springer Spaniel). Quality Liver and White presented immaculately. Lovely head and kind expression with good ears and excellent front. Well sprung ribs with excellent topline and strong balanced hindquarters. Super coat and condition. Very sound mover in profile and up and back being free and easy. A quality winner of this lovely class of dogs.
2nd. Strange’s Bronia’s Armand at Cazdachs (Mini Smooth Haired Dachshund). Super head and rash expression with lovely eye shape and well-set ears of good size. Excellent front with nice tight elbows and good prominent sternum. Good feet and well ribbed up with plenty of ground clearance. Excellent topline and nice strong rear giving lovely movement and real attitude.
3rd. Rowe’s Boloria Goodnight Mr Tom JW (Wire Haired Dachshund)
