Petit basset Griffon Vendeen

Open (1)

1 Whiting’s Glanbueno Toute Seule

Ironically all alone here. Well shaped head which is coming on nicely for her 9 months of age. Strong neck of good length. Firm level top line with correct set on of tail. A bit unsettled on the move but showed plenty of drive from her quarters.

Borzoi

1 Raczka’s Go Go Bolshoi Casino Royal

Upstanding 2 year old male in good body and coat. Long lean head. Arched neck and sloping shoulders. Deep in chest with good tuck up. Moving easily here.

2 Donnelly’s Sukeshi Tsarina Catherine

Another 2 year old. This girl looked well stacked with a balanced outline. Good length to her skull, sloping shoulders, and good depth of brisket. Well-turned stifles.

Open (2)

1 Donnelly and Devereux’ Sukeshi Anna Leopoldovna

Super young girl with plenty of style and free from exaggeration. Long lean head Well shaped eyes. She has a correct front with sloping shoulders. Deep enough in chest. Presented in lovely coat and moving steadily and true. She was my BoB here today.

2 Raczka’s Prime Rubin Castor

A little more mature with plenty to like. Balanced head with strong jaws, Arched neck of good length. Correct in front and well angulated behind. Moving freely, I just preferred the shoulders of the winner here.

Dachs (Min Smooth)

Grad (1)

1 Dalton’s Llansansior Empress

What a super baby. Yes, still raw but at 6 months, you’d be worried otherwise! Feminine head with good balance and kind eye, well placed ears. She has a lovely neck, width to her chest and correct angulation front and rear. Well ribbed for her age with great length and depth. Moved so well carrying herself with style. Just got better as the day went on BOB, Gp 4 and PG1. Should go on to do well.

Dachs (mini Long)

. Grad (1)

1 Causiers Captain Caos

This 2 year old boy has a pleasing head and a well-developed body of good depth. He has lovely quarters showing width across his thighs and super angulation. He was presented in good body and in super coat. Best of Breed.

Two very different types here

1 Sieminski’s Dajean Surely a Vision

Finer made girl with well shaped head, good reach of neck and well laid shoulders. She has plenty of length and depth to her ribs giving balance to her body. She moved so well, holding her topline. Best of Breed.

2 Sieminski’s Dallandor Burdock

At 13 months is heavier built than the winner but still balanced through. Super in front with good width to the chest. Strong head with good length of muzzle. Moved well coming and going but lacked the consistency in profile of the winner.

Dachs (WH)

Grad (2)

1 Patterson’s Brumberhill Biscuit to Ambiesque

Striking 14 mths girl with well-shaped expressive head, well placed ears and dark eyes. Correct, well boned font and showing plenty of fore chest. Strong neck of good length leads into well laid back shoulders. Super body proportions and plenty of rear angulation. She moved soundly and truly holding her top line and was presented in good coat of the correct texture. Best of Breed and G3 in a strong group.

2 Sieminski’s Wyldetarn Genesis

Another good moving girl, this one slightly older but taking more time to come together. Balanced in head with strong jaws. Good reach of neck and plenty of width to her front. Well ribbed back. In decent body and coat.

Rhodesian Ridgeback

Grad (3,1abs)

1 Pritchard Jones’ Kalahari Sun of Luanda at Affrhoda

Pleasing in head with correct proportions and enough width to her skull. Typical keen and alert expression. She has a strong neck of good length and is well boned through. Well ribbed back and firm over the loins. She is moderately angulated behind.

2 Pritchard Jones’ Mission Wild Wind of Luanda at Affrhoda

Promising youngster with a good neck and layback of shoulders. Super head with lovely expression. Just needs to get everything together to do himself justice. At 10 months, has plenty of time. BP, moved better in the puppy group and went on to PG2.

Open (2,1)

1 Pritchard Jones’ Affrhoda Athiyyah

Mature and well bodied 5-year-old girl. Presented a lovely outline standing. Correctly proportioned head, well laid shoulders with elbows neatly tucked in. Good width to her quarters and well-turned stifles. Best of Breed here but inconsistent movement lost him a group place.

AV Hound Imp Reg

Open (1)

1 Binnersley and Tomkinson’s Black and Tan Coonhound, Xtreme Mr President VD Mergelhoeve at Morthonud

Lovely example of this fascinating breed. Plenty of work in the head and low set ears lying flat. In good body and coat condition. He is swell angulated, front and rear and moved steadily.

AV Hound

Puppy (1)

1 Mission Wild Wind of Luanda at Affrhoda

Second in the breed class but moved so much better here.

Veteran (3)

1 Parker’s Afghan Saxonmill Jean Genie at Khatira

I was really taken by this 8 year old, has all of the grace and style that you associate with the breed. So well balanced with good depth and super top line. Well angulated behind with short hocks that were used to advantage on the move. Presented in wonderful coat and condition. A pleasure to judge.

2 Greenhough’s Beagle Bory Wood Tobias at Jalhar

Another super veteran who looked and went so well. Balanced in head with plenty of muzzle and dark eyes. Low set ears. Good length of neck. He is well boned through with a firm top line and good width to his quarters. Really liked the pair of these veterans today.

3 Humphrey’s BFDB Blevwil Kept Me Secret for Gloynbyw

Hound Group

The winner was the Whippet, Perkins and Van Der Schaaf’s Crème Anglaise’s Entourage with Silkridge, stood out in a strong group. Youngster who is already making her mark in this competitive breed. Full of quality and going so well. Runner up was Parker’s Afghan Saxonmill Majic Moment at Khatira another of top quality in full coat and also moving to advantage. G3 was Brumberhill Biscuit to Ambiesque and G4 LLansansior Empress who went on to win the puppy group.

Puppy Group

Plenty of quality and potential here. My winner was Llansansior Empress, closely followed by Mission Wild Wind of Luanda at Affrhoda, Disley’s Whippet Penwincoed Esmerelda and Glanbueno Toute Seule
