Welsh Terrier Open (2) Not an easy decision to start the day.

1 Jones’ Cwnogion Eldra Aur

At 4 years, is mature and well balanced through. Pleasing in head with good jaw, correct bite and well set ears. Strong neck leads to straight front. Well bodied in good jacket and moved well Best of Breed and later Group 2.

2 Humphries’ Penparc Skyfall

At 10 years is so fit and well and a credit to his owner. Correct length of skull with dark eyes. Strong neck. Well bodied with correct angulation and a good top line and tail set In super coat.

1 Thomas’ Alcumlow Penderyn

Charming puppy with good overall proportions. Tidy head and typical expression. Ribbed well back and in good coat for his age. Moved well from the rear but tended to drop his top line in profile today. At just 8 months, shows plenty of promise.

Jack Russell

Open (2)

1 Ryan’s Saredon Modern Times

Well-constructed Junior with good head showing work and an alert expression. He has well boned straight front. Plenty of fore chest for his age. Good depth to his body and firm over his loins. Well angulated quarters, he was presented in good coat. Moving well and handled to advantage, he was my Best of Breed and later group winner.

2 Addoo’s Reulemill Floss Hass

Super baby of just 7 months. Looking so well for her age. Good head with enough width and well set ears. Strong neck of good length. Well laid shoulders. She has good ribs and is firm in top line. Plenty of rear angulation enabled her to move round with drive and power. Very promising. She went on to top the puppy group today.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier

1 Sheldon’s Ringablok Chuckles at Oozzoo

Lovely 2 year old black with good head and strong jaw. Well proportionedned fornt of good width and showing strength. In super body and muscular condition. She had a gleaming coat. A little unsettled on the move but showed enough to see that she can do it!

Open (1)

1 Sheldon’s Ringablok Huckleberry at Oozzoo

Litter brother to the previous class winner and predictably a more masculine version of her. Well constructed head with good width of skull and developed cheeks. Well boned without excess. He moved out well holding a firm top line. Again in super coat and muscular condition. BoB and Group 4

Skye Terrier – not the easiest of breeds to show outside on a windy day. Full credit to the exhibitors in their presentation skills here.

Grad (1)

1 Baker’s Silverbriar Bryony

Just a baby but looked so well and full of promise. Super head with good ear placement and keen expression. Well boned correct front with sloping shoulders. Good length of body with level top line. She has plenty of rear angulation and showed so well for a young one in the conditions. Puppy Group 2.

Open (2)

1 Roberts’ Tarskavaig Speed Bonny Boat at Sunabil

Good honest 4 year old. With that desired dignified look. Good head with plenty of length and decent width. Good reach of neck leading to a tidy front. She has a level top line and good rear angulation. In super coat. She moved steadily and truly to gain Best of Breed and Group 3.

2 Baker’s Silverbriar Persia

6 months’ brother to the last class winner. Being a little rangier, may take longer to come together. Possesses the same well shaped head and ear carriage. Strong neck of good length. Chest is developing well. He has plenty of rear angulation and good width across his quarters.

Terrier Group

Winner was the Jack Russell, Saredon Modern Times, Runner up went to the Welsh Terrier Cwnogion Eldra Aur, Group three was the Skye, Tarskavaig Speed Bonny Boat at Sunabil, group four going to the Staffordshire, Ringablok Huckleberry at Oozzoo.

Only three present in the puppy group did not make the decision any easier. I settled on the Jack Russell Reulemill Floss Hass as my winner, followed by the Skye, Silver Briar Bryony and the Border Alcumlow Penderyn.
