I would like to thank Wyn & Julie Howells and there hard-working committee for the honour of Judging all the Gundogs & BIS, BPIS & BVIS at this very friendly well-run show. Also, for all their hospitality extended to myself and Sharon during the day and to all the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to go over all the lovely dogs and accepting my placings so graciously. The show was held in a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, making for a very enjoyable experience. Thanks to my capable steward Wyn for ensuring everything ran smoothly.

1st Jones Serengoch’s Calistoga JW 20 month old chocolate female presented in good coat and condition ,very typey and presented a lovely picture in stance ,nice head and good reach of neck leading to correct shoulder placement with straight columns, deep body with elbows placed well under ,strong topline which she held on the move with her smooth action.

2nd Stratts, Quinte Honeysuckle. 5-year-old female with a lot to like, good head, strong neck with good angulations fore & aft, stands on neat feet with good bone . Good depth of body & well sprung ribs and a correct level topline. Moved soundly with good stride.

1st Evans R CH/LUX CH/BEL CH Eminala Star Struck Farnfield Beautifully presented 4-year-old female of excellent breed type. She has a lovely head, kind eye & expression, good reach of neck sitting on well-placed shoulders, correct chest proportions with straight front columns. She has a straight level topline and excellent hindquarters with a good turn of stifle. In movement she retained all her shape with excellent reach & drive. BOB.

2nd Jones, Serengoch‘s Knockin Boots 2-year-old female presented in good coat & condition. Well-proportioned head, neck, and shoulders and standing on straight columns. Correct topline, a deep body with well-sprung ribs, excellent hindquarters, and moves soundly while maintaining a level topline coming and going.

Irish Setter Junior [4 2]

1st Taylor Dendroch Anne Frank. 13-month-old female presented in very good condition & gleaming coat very feminine throughout, typical long, lean head, low set ears. Well-proportioned with elbows let down, good bone & ribs well spring and carried well back. Nice sloping topline with a well set on tail, neat feet. Very positive mover & sound coming & going retaining a lovely outline in movement.

2nd Childs Gwendariff Grace Kelly. 8-month-old female & very much a baby, presented in very good condition and has very good breed type. Nice head sitting on a neck of good length with very good shoulders & straight Columns, gentle sloping topline which leads to a well-set tail. Good depth throughout and well sprung ribs with very good hindquarters. Sound coming & going. In movement I saw glimpses of what she can do and given time and development will fulfil her promise. Best puppy.

Irish Setter Post Graduate [4 2]

1st Webb Alofrana Whole lotta Love with Redeshka 2-year-old female presented in excellent coat & condition. Correct head well-muscled neck into well angulated shoulders, straight front legs standing on well-padded feet. Good depth of ribcage and a strong loin. Excellent hindquarters which she uses to move with elegance around the ring.

2nd Lewis Kristesha Kiss of Life. 3-year-old male of very good breed type shown in good order. Medium size, good straight legs of which the pasterns could be firmer, balanced head with a pleasing expression. Good, muscled quarters & moderate angulation, good topline and moved with reach & drive.

1st Richards Redclyst Captain Kidd. 4-year-old quality male presented in very good shape, masculine but not a hint of coarseness. Balanced head with a dark eye and typical expression, muscular neck that flows into a gentle sloping topline. Very good forechest and depth throughout. Wide loin and well bent stifle, moved well with purpose & drive. Best Of Breed

2nd Webb & Danks-Kemish Alolfrana Azzaro Beside Redeshka [AW1] 7-year-old male presented in very good condition, nice head & expression, good length of neck sitting on correct shoulders with a good fore chest, straight front legs & firm pasterns. Ribs are well sprung & carried well back, firm level topline with a well-set tail, sound both ways with a coordinated side gait.

1st Brown Mariglen Top Gear at Yendorlech 10-year-old male presented in very good condition, very balanced throughout. Pleasing head shape, dark well-set eyes & good head and stop. Nice length to well-muscled neck & good lay of shoulders, well sprung ribs and a strong level topline. Moved well driving from hocks and carried his tail well. Best Of Breed.

1st Mantle Rhiewvalley Aint Guilty. 2-year-old male presented in good coat & condition, very balanced head and has a good kind expression. Very good chest proportions but could do with a better fore chest, good bone standing on straight columns & tight feet. Very good hindquarters and a correct turn of stifle. In movement he maintains a firm topline with good reach and drive. BOB

1st Burgess Game point Zoom By Hantzburg 2 year old female presented in good order, she has a feminine head, with a good kind expression, well-proportioned with level planes & correct ears, arched neck and well angled shoulders, correct depth of brisket & ribbing, strong loin & nicely proportioned hindquarters with good turn of stifle maintaining a correct sound gait.

2nd Phillips Riverstone Defying Gravity 11 month old bitch puppy who was giving a lot away in age but I’m sure with normal maturity will trouble the best . She was shown and handled skillfully, being of good shape with an ideal balance of weight and muscle for her age. Nice head & reach of neck with very good front assembly. Straight back with well sprung ribs & very good hindquarters. She is sound coming & going and in movement presents a very pleasing picture. Best Puppy & Puppy Group 2.

Weimaraner Open [2 0]

1st Phillips Farnfield Déjà vu From Riverstone 4 year old female of excellent breed type, presented in good order. She has a nice head & neck & shoulders with a long Upper arm which is well angled. The back is firm & straight with well sprung ribs & a firm loin. Her hindquarters are strong with a good turn of stifle & strong hocks which are sound. In movement she displays a very good out line with good reach & drive. Best of Breed & Group 4.

2nd Burgess Gunalt Vettel To Hantzburg SHCEX 6-year-old male in good condition, correct head & ear profile, good length of neck . Correct front & rear assembly with good ribbing & balanced angles fore & aft with a smooth stride. Sound coming & going and maintaining a correct outline in movement.

1st Phillipson Menstonia Endless Dreams 11 month old male presented in very good coat & condition . He has a lovely head with correct ear carriage, good neck sitting on correct shoulders and a well angled upper arm, stands on straight columns with well angled pasterns. Nice depth of brisket with a firm topline and strong loin & well sprung ribs. Very good hindquarters and turn of stifle with short hocks. Sound coming & going, maintaining a very good side gait. Best Puppy & Puppy Group 3.

1st Griffiths Merchinetes Padrig 20 month old male presented in fine order, he has a nice head with correct ear placement, good reach of neck, very good front assembly with a well angled upper arm . He stands on straight columns with firm well-padded feet, straight level topline with good depth of chest. He has well angled hindquarters with a good turn of stifle & short hocks. In movement he retains his shape at all speeds.

1st Williams Nyliram The Albbi For Trebettyn JW 3 year old male presented in very good coat & condition. He has a very good head & ear placement kind eye and a lovely reach of neck siting on excellent shoulders with a long well angled upper arm. He stands on straight columns with correct feet. His back is firm with well sprung ribs & good depth of chest; he has excellent hindquarters with a good turn of stifle & sound coming & going. Maintains his shape at all speeds with a fluent side gait. Best of Breed.

1st Brookes Bruxly Casanova 9-month-old black male presented how a puppy should. He has a nice head with dark eyes and correct ear placement, good reach of neck sitting on correct shoulders with a well angled upper arm. He stands on straight legs with firm well-padded feet. He is short & cobby with well sprung ribs and a short firm loin. He has a very good topline & excellent hindquarters & good turn of Stifle with neat short hocks. He is sound coming & going and in movement retains a correct topline at all speeds with correct tail carriage. Best Puppy & Puppy Group 4.

2nd Harvey Tomerine Night Agent 8-month-old Black. He has a nice head, dark eyes, well placed ears, good reach of neck & good front assembly, stands on straight columns with firm catlike feet. In stance he has a firm topline with well sprung ribs and a short wide loin and very good hindquarters & turn of stifle. He is sound coming & going with short hocks. He has very good movement but doesn’t quite hold his topline as well as the winner. Good reach & drive with a lot of ring presence.

1st Lewis Rockypont Raffles 2-year-old blue roan male presented in good order, he has a nice head, dark eyes & correct ear carriage, good reach of neck sitting on correct front assembly with a well angled upper arm. He has good legs & firm feet with a level topline and well sprung ribs, deep brisket and a wide firm loin. Very good hindquarters and a good turn of stifle with short hocks. Sound coming & going and maintains his shape in movement.

2nd Defuyck Bruxly Crowning Glory 3 year old black female presented in good coat & condition, she has a nice head, dark eye’s and well positioned ears. The neck could be a little longer but sits on a good front assembly with a well angled upper arm. the back is firm with well sprung ribs and a short loin & deep brisket. She has good hindquarters with a good turn of stifle. Sound coming & going with a coordinated side gait.

1st Harvey Tomerine Fact or Fable 3 year old black male of excellent breed type & presented to his advantage, he has a lovely head & melting expression, dark eyes, and well positioned ears. His correct neck sits on fine sloping shoulders with a well angled upper arm of good length, correct level topline & well sprung ribs & well sprung ribs. Excellent hindquarters and turn of stifle with nice short let down hocks. In movement he maintains his outline in stance with a coordinated side gate with good fore reach &drive. Best of Breed.

2nd Davies Trinant Mint Humbug 7-year-old black & white female presented in good coat & condition, she has a nice head & tight rimmed eyes with good ear placement. Correct length of neck sitting on correct shoulders with a good angle of the upper arm & stands on straight columns with well-padded feet. In stance the topline is firm with well sprung ribs and a short loin and deep brisket. Moderate in hindquarters with a good turn of stifle and short sound hocks. While in stance her topline is notably firm, I would prefer to see this same level of firmness maintained during movement. Nonetheless, she displays a coordinated side gait, coupled with good reach and drive.

1st James & Vaux Sonnetend Made You Laugh With Tippledal 18-month-old liver female of excellent breed type, very balanced, feminine head. Good ear placement, medium neck sitting on correct shoulders, firm level topline with a well-set tail, balanced angulations both end with good bone & feet. She is very sound coming & going and in movement retains a level topline with good reach & drive. In the challenge I preferred her overall balance and finish to her very nice litter sister. Best of Breed.

2ndBeeb-Sutton Nadavin Aleana Gyda Cochen 11 month old female of good breed type, with a nice head& ear placement. Well set neck sitting on correct front assembly with a good angle of the upper arm, moderate hindquarters with a good turn of stifle and strong sound hocks. In movement she retained her shape at all speeds with good forereach & drive. Preferred the overall finish of the winner.

1st Bullock Trixhund Shut For Lunch 19 month old female presented in good coat & condition, she has a very nice head & dark eyes & well-placed ears, strong neck sitting on correct shoulders with a well angled upper arm & stands on correct legs & feet. She has a firm level topline with well sprung ribs and good chest proportions, well angled hindquarters with sound short hocks. Maintains her shape in movement with a coordinated side gait.

1st Bullock Trixhund This Is My Destiny SHCEX 4-year-old impressive male presented in top form, strong head dark eyes well placed ears, correct length of neck sitting on correct front assembly with a well angled upper arm of good length. Straight firm topline with well sprung ribs & firm loin and good chest proportions. He has excellent hindquarters and a good turn of stifle and short sound hocks. In movement he comes into his own in full sink with his handler with good reach & drive maintaining his impressive shape at all speeds. Best Of Breed & Group 3

I liked his head and expression with a strong neck sitting on correct shoulders and a long well angled upper arm, firm straight topline with good ribbing and deep fore chest with a strong loin. Exceptionally good hindquarters and turn of stifle with strong hocks. In movement he retained his shape at all times with good reach & drive well handled. Best Of Breed.

Strong neck, very good front and good fore chest 7 return of upper arm. Strong topline, with moderate hind angulation & strong hocks. In movement always presented a pleasing picture.

1st Johnson Stellenbosch Alameda of Tarnlaikers [AI] 8-year-old male in super condition for his age, masculine & very well balanced throughout, very typical head & expression with correct ear carriage. Medium neck sitting on a correct front with a well angled upper arm. Firm topline, correct set & well carried tail. Excellent hindquarters and turn of stifle with short hocks. A particularly good mover from all angles. Best Of breed.

2nd Johnson Tarnlaikers Pikachu 5 year-old female shown in good form & daughter of my winner embodying his type. A very pleasing bitch with a good head & ear set, attractive rise of neck, good angulation both ends with strong hocks. In movement she retains her outline at all speeds.

She has good depth and well sprung ribs, hindquarters are very good with a nice turn of stifle, sound coming & going with a spacious side gait maintaining her outline at all speeds.

2nd Reynolds Piasharn Desert Plains 2-year-old male who presented a pleasing picture in stance, very nice chiselled head, good reach of neck sitting on correct shoulders and a well angled upper arm. Stands on straight columns with nice feet. Level topline and a well-positioned tail sound short hock. ok hindquarters where I would like a better turn of stifle. He is sound coming & going and maintains a pleasing picture on the move.

1st Rose De Las Navazuelas Stormcloud At Ridanflight [Imp Esp] This 2-year-old male immediately caught my attention as he entered the ring, truly possessing the 'Wow' factor. He demonstrates perfect balance throughout, beginning with his well-chiselled head and extending to his excellent reach of neck and correct shoulder placement. His super topline and tail set contribute to an overall impression of elegance, forming a seamless line from the tip of his nose to his tail. His hindquarters are particularly noteworthy, with a superb turn of stifle and sound, short hocks. He is very sound both coming and going, and when he moves, he truly excels—powering around the ring with effortless grace while maintaining a superb outline at all speeds. I was delighted to award him Best of Breed, Group 1, and Reserve Best in Show.

1st Hart Gilliegrae So Berry Exited This 11-month-old Irish Red & White Setter male immediately caught my attention in the ring, and I absolutely adored him. Presented in superb coat and condition, he boasts a striking head with beautifully placed ears, complemented by a good reach of neck set on correct shoulders and a long, well-angled upper arm. Standing on straight columns with excellent, well-padded feet, he displays a correct topline, deep fore chest, and well-sprung ribs, as well as short, strong hocks. His hindquarters are outstanding, with an excellent turn of stifle, and he is sound at both ends. In movement, he presents a superb outline, demonstrating both good reach and drive. An absolute pleasure to judge and award Best Puppy, Puppy Group 1, and Reserve Best Puppy in Show.

2nd Falberg & Buckley Tolosa Tallegio 2 year old Italian Spinone male presented in very good condition, he has a good head well placed ears ,good reach of neck sitting on correct shoulders with a well angled upper arm ,correct feet & pasterns . He has a firm topline with good chest proportions & a strong wide loin, very good hindquarter & turn of stifle with strong short hocks. Sound coming & going with a good balanced side gait.

1st Martin & Green Rhoswendale game Is on again For Viszaset [Imp Fin] 2 year old Irish Red & White Setter male presented in top form, excellent head & expression with well-placed ear carriage, correct length of neck sitting on very good front assembly with a long well angled upper arm. He has a firm topline with good chest proportions, firm loin & strong short hocks. Excellent hindquarters and a good turn of stifle, in movement he keeps his firm topline at all speeds with excellent reach & drive. Best of Breed on maturity over and exiting youngster.

1st Williams Sh Ch Isfryn Spot The Diffrence Trebettyn VW 10-year-old Spaniel [Welsh Springer] presented in super condition for his age, lovely head & expression with super ear placement, excellent reach of neck sitting on correct shoulders with a long well angled upper arm. He has the best of legs & feet, with a firm straight topline and correct tail placement, very good hindquarters & turn of stifle with neat short hocks. Sound coming and going maintaining a very pleasing picture in movement at all speeds.

2nd Evans Farnfield Clarity 7-year-old Retriever [Labrador] female again presented in super condition for her age. She has a well-shaped head, dark eyes, correctly placed ears, and a neck of proper length that aligns with a correct front assembly. She has a super firm topline and excellent tail carriage with a deep brisket & a short firm loin with good ribbing. Correct hindquarters with short strong hocks, sound coming & going with a well-coordinated side gait.

Axford, Bramblemead Bollinger Boy 2 year old Bearded Collie male, what a showstopper, filled my eye the moment he walked into the ring and commanded it from start to finish. Beautifully balanced with a good head, kind dark eye giving a lovely expression. Excellent shoulder placement, deep chest, long ribs and well-muscled rear. Very sound coming & going and in movement maintained a beautiful profile at all speed. Was pleased to award him Best In Show over an excellent Pointer.

Linnett’s Roxmarr Diamond Fizz At Conquell A very promising 9-month-old fawn puppy bitch who possesses the X Factor in abundance, making her impossible to overlook. She presents a lovely feminine head with dark eyes and a soft, melting expression. Very short and compact in body, she has a well-arched neck flowing cleanly into good shoulders, complemented by a long, well-angled upper arm and a firm, level topline. Sound both coming and going, she maintains her shape at all speeds, portraying a truly harmonious picture in both stance and movement. A delightful puppy who was a pleasure to award Best Puppy in Show, over a super Irish Red and White Setter.

Rees Parcauwen Secret Liaison 8-year-old Chinese Crested male presented in super condition for his age and very eye catching, finely boned and nicely furnished throughout, elegant head with dark almond eye, large erect finely furnished ears with a complementing crest. He has a good neck, good length of leg& correct body proportions. He carried his tail correctly on the move and retained his overall shape at every stage of movement, please to award him Best Veteran.

Hiime Mijmas Moonlight and Roses 7 year old Shetland Sheepdog female presented in lovely coat & condition, she has a good head & stop, dark eye & excellent tipped ears which she uses always to her advantage. Excellent reach of neck sitting on correct shoulders with a well angled upper arm with very good angulations fore & aft with straight bones & correct feet good height to length proportions. In movement she retained her out line at all speeds and was very deserving of this award.
