Thank you to the very hard working industrious committee of this lovely club for inviting me to judge for them. What a super, well-run show this was – everything running to time and with considerate ring management to ensure no delays, what a breath of fresh air! There were gifts for exhibitors to celebrate the Club’s 75th anniversary which I am sure were well appreciated. Good luck for your next 75 years!

O (3) 1 Ir Sh Ch Eusanit Proper Job. I seem to have written this prefix a lot during this critique, what a clever breeder to have produced a number of well-conformed typical exhibits. Best In Show
This line up was a real treat and quite a feast for the eyes, as there were so many top quality best of breeds representing their breed so positively. It was a bit of a challenge to reduce to a relatively short short-list, and even tricker to decide on a top four. What a credit to their owners and breeds, and to the show that so many quality dogs were entered.
From this stellar line up I selected the WSS Sh Ch Nyilram Telling Tales. Smart, typical, sound, balanced. This is a superb type of WSS with many breed attributes to appraise. Scores in head shape, which has femininity and strength. Lengthy clean neck leads to a lovely long shoulder, and into a firm topline. Deep in brisket and well ribbed back. Strong in quarters with excellent width of thigh. Tail well set on. Stands on quality bone and super feet. Moved out so well, and never put a foot wrong at any point, so she could not be denied the top spot in this excellent company today.
Another excellent top quality spaniel took the reserve spot, the cocker Quettadene Queen Of Stars who could not be overlooked. She has such a correct outline stood up which she doesn’t lose on the move. Super head with length and brain room. Dark expressive eyes display her character so well. She is extremely well put together as she is balanced and unexaggerated all through. Her well made frame is utilised extremely well on the move where she powers merrily around the ring. Could not be overlooked today.
The third spot went to the brilliant Brittany Sh Ch Highclare Only One Avec Tailliside whom I appraised in the stakes class above. He could not be overlooked in this company as his type is spot on, and he is presented in immaculate order and shown so well.
Claiming fourth in this superb group was the lovely Spinone Sh Ch Inostricania Bell Ragazzo Cia Krismoor. Beautifully headed male who was mature in both body and outlook. He is lovely to go over and so well presented, with excellent harsh coat. Well made in forehand and hindquarter angles, he uses every inch of himself to great advantage on the move and produced a long clean even stride going around.
Best Puppy In Show
A really promising line up of youngsters here today, and much like BIS it was a challenge to pick out just four from the good line up forward on the day.
Ultimately, it was the shapely Pointer, Sharnphilly Dizzy Blone at Linosa who rose just a bit above the rest on the move to claim the top spot. She is of wonderful type, with shapely head, dark expressive eyes, and big nose. Clean reachy neck and excellent shoulder placement and upper arm length. Strong quarters and well let down hocks. She has confidence in character which showed in her movement – and the more she went the better she got. Good luck for the future.
Reserve best puppy went to the stakes class winning Flat Coated Retriever Jetstarki Run Like Hell, who put on a great show right up until the end after a long day – her happy character and ever-wagging tail never stopping.
A very smart raw young Vizsla Oakswarren Trickster claimed PG3, as he has bags of potential and super breed type. He will reach the heights of stardom for sure, lots to like!
The BoB winning Spanish Water Dog Lendever’s Icing On The Cake claimed fourth in this good group of puppies, as he has good breed type and showed with such soundness at the end of a long day.
