Midland Bedlington Terrier Club

Midland Bedlington Terrier Club

22/02/25

A huge thank you to the Officers and Committee of the Midland Bedlington Terrier Club for this prestigious invitation and the opportunity to judge your lovely breed at Club show level. It really is an excellent Club, so well supported and a pleasant atmosphere with all the class placing receiving applause…very sportsmanlike and great to hear!

There was quality to be found throughout the classes but it turned out to be a ‘Ladies Day’ with all the major awards won by the females. Size varied as did toplines with some looking good on the stack but losing their outlines on the move. Coats also varied quite significantly but most had the breed requirements. Heads were excellent as were eye shape and bites with good-sized teeth, so important on a working terrier.

PD. 1st Ratzwell Bring Me Sunshine. A promising pup of 10 months. Pleases for size and outline. Correct head shape with good length. Excellent eye. Strong neck. Balanced angulation. Correct amount of rise over loins. Moved very well. Good coat for age.

PG. 1st Travellerways Godwin At Dunkeswell. Very good dog with curvy outline, narrow head showing length some strength and excellent eye. Good to go over on the table. Moved out freely but tail could be carried slightly lower. Stands on good feet and pleases in coat.

2nd. Yarbach Bowling Board. Smaller dog. Very good head properties. Moderately angled front and rear. Well set tail. Moved ok but tends to roach a bit on the move. Coat ok.

LD. 1st Tobaine You Rock My World. Lovely masculine liver. Pleases for size and overall outline. Good head shape, narrow and shows sufficient length. Small eye of good tone for coat colour. Correct ear set and texture. Moderate neck. Nicely angled with good topline. Moved with breed typical gait. RBD.

2nd Miteymidgets Modern Love. Close-up. Liked his shape on the stack and excels in head properties. Has some strength all through and in hard condition. Good conformation. Just not as settled on the move today. Coat of good texture and density.

OD. Mixed class to sort. 1st Ch. Tunman Full Throttle At Jukeblu. This masculine, quality male ticked all the boxes for me on the day. Liked his size, balance and sound conformation. Head has plenty of length, strength but still narrow all through. Excellent eye shape. Correct ears. Just right for rise over loin. Muscular condition. Good coat for texture and density, complimented with a pale topknot. Moved with breed typical gait, sound in all directions. Pleased to award him BD, BOS & RBIS.

2nd Janmark Man In The Middle. A larger dog of an attractive colour. Lovely outline. Flowing lines with balanced angles and ok in topline. Super coat, beautifully prepared. Took time to settle on the move but showed glimpses of sound action.

3rd Ch. Bluesmurf Boogie Woogie.

VD. Mollora Red Kite For Tobaine. 9 year old liver. Belies his years with his excellent condition. Good head, strong neck leading to a nicely angled front. Topline a touch flat but still has firmness of loins. Moderate rear. Moved out well.

2nd Kinnuva Dark Sleekester. Smaller dog. Good head for length and properties. Pleasing in eye shape. Well set ears of correct texture. Not the front angulation of 1st and tends to stand ‘under himself’ hunching his topline a bit. Strong rear quarters. Stands on good feet of correct shape. Good coat and colour. Moved soundly.

Sp. Beg. Dog. 1st T. Godwin at D.

2nd R. Bring Me S.

3rd Y. Bowling B.

PB. 1st Silverkinn Craving Candles. A really promising youngster scoring her in maturity and overall composure. Super head, dark expressive eye of correct shape. Well set ears of good shpe and texture. Strong neck. Excellent body. Correct arch over loin. Moderate angulations. Lovely coat, correct texture and even, clear blue and pale topknot. Moved with a sound, springy gait. BPB & BPIS.

2nd Tunman Apple Away. The 1st of 2 litter sister placed here and there is very little separating them atm. Both are well made with correct head, eye and bites. Both gave a polished performance with ‘Apple Away’ just being a bit more settled on the move. Coats correct for age. Overall, a promising class of pups, looking good for the future.

3rd Tunman Apple Be Lucky For Poccoblu.

JB. 1st Kinnuva Expresso Elixir. Colour still to clear but a super shape and of pleasing size, feminine but with strength to outlook. Excellent head. Dark, correctly shaped eye. Copybook conformation, everything moderate with no exaggerations. Lovely coat for texture and density. Moved well from all directions.

NB. 1st Kinnuva Caramel Indulgence. Attractive and an eye-catching colour. Liked this ultra-feminine female very much. Excellent outline, curvy and functional. Lovely coat. Moved as her conformation dictated, sound and true.

2nd Dunkeswell Pepper Dash. Close-up here. Another lovely female. Liked her excellent outline. Typical in head, good neck and moderate angles. Correct topline. Can firm-up in pasterns and settle coming towards, but overall, a sound mover with correct coat and well presented.

PG. Miteymidgets New Variant. Feminine and of excellent shape. Lovely size. Excellent head shape and length. Medium neck. Pleasing in body and angulation. Holds a correct topline at all times. Sound on the move.

2nd Tobaine Forever Came Today. Slightly longer overall than 1st. Lovely head with good skull, overall length and good eye shape. Good reach of neck leading to a moderately angled front. Good depth of brisket. Topline could have a touch more arch over loins. Nicely angled rear. Free mover.

3rd Terrablue Spirit Bizzibeddies.

LB. 1st Ratzwell Jolly Jubilee. Loved this female. Beautifully feminine but has strength to frame. Excellent head shape. Good eye and ear. Excellent reach and arch of neck. Balanced angulations fore and aft. Holds a correct topline at all times. Beautiful coat. Lovely colour with light topknot. Moved well from profile, just taking time to settle. Deserves to carry her title.

2nd Worth Waiting For Ycart. Slightly smaller overall than 1st but all quality. Super head and eye. Excellent neck. Medium angles. Very good coat. Moved freely driving well from the rear from sound, low hocks.

3rd Skewhill Remembrance With Bluesmurf.

OB. 1st Janmark The Name Of The Game. A truly excellent representative of the breed. Beautiful, shapely outline. Gives the impression of strength and function without compromising any quality or femininity. Lovely head, correct shape, narrow with some length. Expressive eye and well set, thin ear. Excellent conformation which came together on the move reflecting her easy, sound action. Beautiful coat, excellent colour, texture and density. BB & BIS. Was told after judging she now carries her crown… congratulations!

2nd Tcheria Sweet Tcharuty. This beautiful female wasn’t playing ball today, but no denying her overall excellent breed type and quality. Lovely size with excellent head and conformation. Just did enough on the move but is absolutely sound and has a breed typical gait. Super coat, excellent texture.

3rd Fallon Von Der Schwarzen Nebelburg..

VB. 1st Miteymidgets Nations Unity At Jukenblu. 10 years and carrying her age so well. In top form with regards to coat, body, condition and soundness on the move. Pleases in outline both on the stack and moving. Well-presented coat. Delighted to award her BVIS.

2nd Kinnuva Sian Jewel. Slightly smaller overall. Excellent for type, size and shape. Lovely head with good eye. Good to go over on the table with her correct proportions and soundly made frame. Moved very well.

3rd Jobanker Virtuous Veronica.

Sp. Beg. B. 1st T. Spirit B. Stood 3rd in PGB. Lovely for size and outline and is a particularly good colour. She is well made with balanced angles front and rear. Well set-on tail. Moved well from profile but can settle further coming towards. Pleasing coat.
