Many thanks to the Officers and Committee for the invitation to judge at their Club Open show. A small but quality entry, it was a pleasure to judge this breed today. Thanks also to my 2 efficient stewards.

JD. 1st. Chepam Grenadier. A super young male. Great for type and shape. Compact outline. Strong masculine head with plenty of strength both in skull and muzzle. Excellent ear set. Strong, thick neck. Very good front angles. Excellent bone. Moderately angled quarters. Still young and needs to drop into his frame but an excellent dog of imposing size that promises to finish an excellent example of the breed. Moved very well. RBD.

VD. 1st Chepam Xantor. Another very good one carrying this affix. Medium sized, strong and plenty of bone and substance. Strong head and blunt foreface. High set ears. Medium neck. Deep, functional chest. Strong bone. Ok in topline. Moderate angles. Moved very freely. Coat a touch soft and could be perhaps a touch denser but overall, a lovely veteran, enjoying his day.

LD. Quiche’s Xplorer Treks To Bouvpilot. 11 month male and forward for his age. Presents a lovely balanced picture on the stack. Head has good proportions , now needing to finish fully. Excellent eye and ears. Medium neck, muscular leading to a moderately angled front. Excellent body, short, muscular loins. Excellent rear quarters. High set tail. Moves out very well, impressive from profile and drives well from the rear. Thick coat, well prepared. Should have a promising future. BD & BPIS.

MPB. 1st Abbiville Winter Dream. Precious 6 month old pup. Delightful temperament and gave a good account of herself. Head of correct shape and proportions. Dark eye. Very well put together which is reflected in her easy, free gait. Just needs to tighten all round and settle, which time and experience should bring.

VB. 1st Ch. Chepham Woronora. A worthy Ch. of 10 years. Carrying her age well. Excellent for type with plenty of substance and bone but not compromising her femininity. Super head for shape and strength and gives the impression of a rugged, workmanlike female. Moved with a moderate stride. Pleased to award her RBB and BVIS.

PG. Theadora Medusa Vd Dambaern Hoeve At Theanab. Overall, a pleasing female that appeals for her excellent shape and good breed type. Head of good proportions. Strong muzzle. Moderate angles. Needs to body-up a bit but has many attributes and was a powerful mover.

OB. Utah Rebbel Off The Eurisever With Bouvpilot. Just loved this female and for me ticks a lot of boxes. Compact, balanced outline. Lovely head with dark eye and excellent high set, expressive ears. Moderate reach of neck. Deep chest and good bone for her size. Holds a firm topline. Excellent rear angles leading to low set, firm hocks. Lovely mover from profile, sound with a typical ‘un-hurried’ gait. Excellent coat for texture, density and presentation. Hope she gains her crown. Quietly handled to bring out her best. BB & BIS. Congratulations.

2nd Chepham Queen Of Swords. Liked this female for type and function. Strong, powerful and compact shape but think she would have benefited from a larger ring on the day to really get into her stride on the move. Strong head, soundly made with good bone and body but could have a touch more depth of chest for her size. An excellent representative of the breed. Thick, dry coat.

3rd Nikolaev Roussanne At Abbiville. Lovely head and strong muzzle. Excellent dark eye. Plenty of strength all through. Carrying a bit too much weight which reflected on the move. Good coat. Loving her time in the ring!

GCB. 1st Nikolaev Seret At Abbiville. 6 year old at full maturity. Good for size with strength of bone and excellent depth of chest. Head of good shape and proportions with strength to skull and muzzle. Excellent eye. Moderate angles. Moved soundly. Just a bit unsettled out and back. Well presented coat.
