Cesky Terrier
L (1): 1 RBOB Bishop’s Ulmo Bohemia Des Hauteurs De La Sole at Kyntilly (Imp), grey dog of 2 years, mature boy, clean strong neck, good body proportions, correct topline, good bend of stifle with muscular thighs, moved with propulsion.
O (3, 1a): 1 BOB Fewings’ Komidion Rhapsody In Ryme, grey bitch coming up 6 years, a little shy on the move but thought she was better made through the front than 2. Good body proportions, correct topline, good bone but feminine with it, she moved well but just not as confident as 2 Fewings’ Komidion Schubert, grey dog of nearly 4 years, confident mover, strong neck into shoulders, correct body length, well-muscled quarters with correct bend of stifle.
Jack Russell Terrier
P (2): 1 BP & BOB Jones’ Laserna Captain Crash, dog of 9 months, what a super cheeky chappy with such huge ring presence in that little body. Stood out immediately to me, nails a super free stack already showing his super outline & correct body ratios. Stands on tight feet, strong topline, good rear angles, correct tailset & moved well. Delighted to award him G2 & PG2; 2 Rushforth’s Adoraden Jack Of Diamonds, bitch of 8 months, brisket down to elbow, nice front assembly, correct body ratios. She could be better through the rear pasterns which was evident on the move.
Y (2, 1a): RBOB 1 Roberts’ Navigareamor Storm Isha, bitch of 9 months who was a little hard to assess as she’s a real foodie & was more interested in her reward. Good body ratios, nice texture to her coat, good rear angulation with muscled quarters, moved okay once she got into her stride.
L (2, 1a): 1 Collins’ Capshulacan Colebrooke, dog coming up 7 years, correct length of body, brisket down to elbow, good bend of stifle. Carrying a little extra weight today.

Junior Handling
6-11 Years (3, 1a): 1 Robyn Barrell, 11 – Shih Tzu, performed her patterns with precision & was aware of the judge to show her dog off to its best advantage. Sympathetically handled; 2 Henley Francis, 8 – ESS, mastered the stacking of his dog very well, assertive & kind with his charge, performed his patterns well with a little instruction. Just needs a little more spatial awareness in relationship to neighbouring exhibitors.
12-16 Years (3):1 Daisy Nicholas, 15 – Deerhound, has a professional aura & presence in the ring – everything is polished & sleek in execution. Stands her charge well, performed her patterns confidently & is aware of presenting her dog’s best side to the judge; 2 Keira Clark, 13 - Gordon Setter, very attentive to her dog, & stacks up her dog very well, no fuss, all natural & easy with tidy ring patterns; 3 Megan, 15.
Adult Handling
17-45 Years (5): 1 Karoline Andrew - Japanese Shiba Inu, everything appeared to flow & was easy. She had her dog stacked & ready, had her eye on the dog & the other on me, slick precision, moved her charge at the right speed & with neat patterns. All done with a bit of panache; 2 Susan Jones - Border Collie, presented her dog well, moved tidily, no exaggerated performance, just preferred the precision & polish of 1; 3 A Mellersh-Tett.
Pyrenean Mountain Dog
O (5, 2a): 1 BOB Baverstock’s Ch Kalkasi Just Because JW, 4 year old dog who stands out for quality. Appeals in head with super pigment, nice feet with well arched toes, correct body proportions with level topline, in good body & coat condition, moved lovely with super drive going around the ring. He is strong & yet has elegance & quality, & when looking at him in profile he epitomised to me the general appearance clause of the standard; 2 RBOB McBain’s Lisjovia Flaming Drambuie for Willmac, 4 year old dog, impresses driving around the ring, & handled to bring out the best him. Correct topline, strong rear pasterns, thick coat. Preferred the front assembly, size & elegance of 1; 3 Asher’s Patablanca Phoenix.

Clean neck, good bone for size, good rear angulation, moved well & in super muscled condition. Preferred the outline of 1.
O (3,1a): 1 BOB Harvey & Bole’s Harvlin’s Mystification JW, dark brindle & white bitch of nearly 2 years. Lovely quality, looks great stacked, pretty head, brisket down to elbow, stands on tight catlike feet, strong rear pasterns & moved well. Preferred her return of upper arm over 2 Lock’s Romanico Bacctu Clarricks JW, brindle & white bitch of 2 years, strong topline with good posture, brisket down to elbow, correct bend of stifle, well-muscled thighs. Touch heavy in the head & would like a little more refinement all through.
Hovawart
My first time judging this breed and what an absolute delight to judge!
L (1): 1 BOB Mclure’s Pines Mansion at Kanukalos, black & gold dog coming up 2 years, beautiful quality male. Correct length of body, strong bone through the forearms, level topline, well-muscled with a taut loin, rear pasterns vertical to the ground. Lovely to go over, full of character & then to watch him move - effortless & ground covering moving off from a firm rear – rear pasterns strong & powerful. In good body & coat condition, too.
O (1): 1 RBOB Mclure’s Hightimbers Ticket To Dream at Kanukalos, black & gold bitch of 5 years, brisket down to elbow, nothing is overdone, good length of body with super ribbing, correct turn of stifle. Another who can really move with super drive & holds her topline doing so.
V (1): 1 Mclure’s Kanukalos Burletta VW (AI), black & gold bitch of 10 years but oh my you would never believe it! Lovely bone but still retains her femininity, lovely to go over, still feels so strong, level topline, super attentive to her handler. Just not moving as precise through the rear as her competitors but at 70 in human years, it was only a minor criticism!
