Scottish Dachshund Club 19th October 2025

Thankyou to the Scottish Dachshund Club for my invitation to Judge the stakes classes at their Open Show. Thankyou also my Steward Craig Sloan who organised the ring so well and kept everything moving.

I was really pleased to have such a super entry across all the varieties and thank the exhibitors for entering under me.

AV Puppy Stakes Dog or Bitch (12/4)

1st Drady’s Indiko Fire and Ice (MLH). 10mths old dog who stood out as soon as he moved around the ring. Lovely head into good neck with well laid back shoulders. Good forechest and and angulation front and rear. Held his topline wonderfully on the move with lovely drive.

2nd Buxton’s Mereblake Agnes (SWH). 10 month old bitch. Good head with lovely eyes and furnishings. Good length of neck and well laid back shoulders. Lovely harsh coat and well presented. Good angulation front and rear and kept her topline well on the move. Not the movement of 1.

3rd Jennings Jenivon’s Secret Wish

AV Junior Stakes Dog or Bitch (7/4)

1st Kirkwood-Emery’s Helydon Xtra Xpecial (MWH). 16mths Dog. Another who stood out from the rest of the class. Lovely head and furnishings into good neck and well laid back shoulders. Lovely harsh coat, well ribbed and and pleasing shape all round. Excellent angulation front and rear. Showed excellent drive front and rear and held his top line wonderfully on the move.

2nd Corner’s Carcorn Chrissy’s Girl (SWH). 16mths Bitch. Good head and furnishings into nice neck and shoulders. Lovely harsh coat and good front and rear angulation. Held the topline well on the move.

3rd McGavigan & Pettigrew’s Pettigan’s Chanson D’Amour

AV Special Beginners Stakes Dog or Bitch (6/2)

1st Balfour’s Clentry Mango Passion Shcex (SSH). 3 1/2 Year old bitch who has a wonderful typey head. Good length of neck and well laid back shoulders. Good front and rear angulation. Showed good drive front and rear and held topline well on the move.

2nd Buxton’s Hazelglade Harriet (SWH) 19mths Bitch. Lovely head and neck. Good shoulders and harsh coat. Slightly long in the loin. Drove out well front and rear and held topline well on the move.

3rd Webster’s Indiko Eternal Flame.

AV Open Stakes Dog or Bitch (11/2)

1st Jennings Jenivons Miss Marple (MSH). 4yr old Bitch. Another that caught my eye on the initial movement. Good head and neck into well laid back shoulders. Good angulation front and rear and lovely topline held well on the move and stacked.

2nd Dickinson’s Derledash Skyfall at Dakotadax JW (SWH). 20 months bitch. Lovely head and neck length with well laid back shoulders. Good harsh coat. Good front and rear angulation. Held topline well on the move.
