1 Paskins’ Delsaux Life Goes On At Kindeace - 16-month-old shaded red male with balanced head and good expression. Adequate neck, layback of shoulder could be better, balanced rear. Good proportions to body with a deep chest, would like a touch more ribbing, good ground clearance. A little unsettled in the venue, just tending to move a little close behind but extends in front and has some drive in the rear.
Limit 3/0
1 Paskins’ Kindeace London’s Calling - 14-month-old Shaded red male. Well made throughout, a little exuberant in the class and giving his handler a hard time but settled in the challenge. Lovley head with detail, good neck and front well angled. Well ribbed back with good depth to chest, I found him a shade long, but holding his back line and moved with good drive in the rear and accurate footfall. BOB
2 Paskins’ Kindeace You Wear It Well - 2-year-old shaded red bitch. Pretty expression, preferred the balance in head of the winner. Adequate neck and shoulder and a strong topline, deep check and balanced rear. She was true in all directions on the move with good footfall.
3 Wood’s Faulksfollie Lady Gemma
Open 4/2
1 Paskins’ Kindeace Hit The Road Jack JW - Well made shaded red boy with good head. Adequate neck, balanced front assembly, well ribbed back and good depth to chest. Strong rear used well on the move with precise footfall.
2 Paskins’ Kindeace Texas Ranger ShCEX - Initially thought would be my winner but preferred the finer points of 1. Shaded red Beautiful head with chiselling, good eye. Good neck and well laid shoulder, lacks ribbing for me. Balanced rear angles and moved out well, not quite as accurate as 1.

1 Rostron’s Bolt Falcon India – Very raw cream male. I suspect his first show, lacked confidence and very unsure of the venue. Good head and eye, long neck and well angled front and rear. Good depth for age and well ribbed back. Tending to crab on the move at the moment, should improve with confidence.
2 Palmer’s Hedgefen Girl From Mars – Shaded cream girl, finer all through and lacking the angulation of the winner. Upper arm could be better , adequate depth for age, ribbing OK. Moved confidently.
Special Yearling 9/6
1 Pretty’s Jaxrubydax Constellation – Good size, black and cream girl with a pretty head and good eye, a touch short in neck for me but has a good upper arm. Well ribbed back, good rear angles and moved very well today with excellent footfall.
2 May’s Scrumptios Red On The Dot JW – Close decision, lots to like about this shaded red male. Good head, lovely expression, well angled front and rear, moved with good reach and drive, but for me, not as precise in footfall as 1 today.
3 Rostron’s Bolt Falcon India
Limit 8/5
1 Taverner’s Brackenfire My Honey Bee At Tavertekal - Black & cream girl with lovely overall proportions. Excellent in front and forechest, good depth and ribbing. Precise footfall and with plenty of reach and drive.
2 Pretty’s Jaxrubydax Just Bernice – Black and cream, a little fine in head for preference, she has an adequate neck and is balanced front and rear. Would prefer more ribbing, she is a shade long in loin. Moves soundly with some drive in the rear.
3 Rostron’s Bolt Falcon India
Open 7/4
1 Phillips’ Summerview Midnight Sky BOB & BPIB – Black and Tan bitch with lovely proportions. Elegant head with good strength of underjaw, she has a well angled front and clean neck. Deep chest and excellent ribbing. Strong rear. Moved well with good footfall.
2 Pretty’s Jaxrubydax Brighten My Day – Initially thought would be my winner, well made , excellent front and forechest, lovely proportions and well turned out, tending to crab on the move today which spoiled footfall.
3 Rostron’s Bolt Falcon India
Dachshund (Smooth Haired)
Puppy 1/0
1 Starkley’s Fredanna Moonlight Cyprus At Hamoura BPIB – Attractive black and tan male, good forechest for his age, would like a little more angulation in the shoulder. Good depth of chest and well ribbed back with good proportions. Needs to strengthen in the rear as he matures, good reach in front but very loose behind today.

1 Bullingham’s Stoweytop Susie – She looked a little bulky stood but is not when you get hands on. Good to go over, well developed forechest, good proportions and well ribbed. Moved precisely with good reach and drive.
2 Muggleton’s Sweet Creature – On the first look round I thought she would be the winner. Well-made fore and aft, I liked her balance on the stack, but felt she lacked ribbing and preferred the accuracy of movement in the winner.
3 Steele’s Kensequi Cute Cherry
Open 4/3
1 Begg’s Riverbrue Wolfberry To Sumaric BOB – Lovely red male, nice head and expression, good neck, excellent fore chest and well ribbed back. Nice proportions all through and well angled which could be seen on the move, reach and drive with accurate footfall.

Puppy 2/0
1 Hunt’s Drakkina’s Gift Of Dragon’s BPIB – Not as confident on the move today as second in the class, but I preferred her overall construction. Excellent lay of shoulder with matching return and super forechest. Loveliest of heads. Deep chest, well ribbed with great proportions, well developed rear used to advantage on move, she has reach and drive and good footfall.
2 Jones’ Something Audatious Among Clanwillow – Good head and eye, strong neck and good front angulation but not as developed in the forechest as 1. Well made through. On the move she has superb carriage and attitude, she certainly lives up to her name and was in excellent condition. Has reach and drive, not quite as accurate on the up and back as the winner.
Special Yearling 1/0
1 Lane’s Auspicious Annie For Lanebern – Lovely attitude on the move with precise footfall. Well made all through with an excellent upper arm, still developing in forechest, lovely head and expression and a strong rear. Lovely reach and drive.

Special Yearling 2/0
Difficult class as neither was particularly confident on the move so difficult to assess.
1 Foley’s Bimini Alfie Moon At Clavennae – Excellent neck and shoulder, well proportioned, well ribbed and sound rear. Very erratic on the move but with some drive behind.
2 Gaut-Janes’ Rosenbach Christmas Star – A shade short in neck and shoulder could be better. Well proportioned body, with good ribbing and deep chest. Much like the winner, movement was erratic and difficult to assess.

Special Yearling 3/1 – Two littermates, very similar in many ways, preferred the overall construction on 1 and she was a little less apprehensive on the move today. Both have lovely heads with good detail and both are very raw , they have time on their side.

3 Hennessey’s Bowerhinton Bomette (N Elkhound)
Puppy 21/18
1 Sanders-Parker’s Heart & Soul Jp Northern Dancer At Classicus imp Jpn (Saluki) Well made all through with an exceptionally attractive head piece that has chiselling. He is still developing but has everything in the right place. Exuberant on the move, true and sound.
2 Bridgeman & Louge’s Kingswin Gifted (Beagle) – One I have judged before, she is well made all through with a lovelt head, good proportions and sound as a pound. She was giving her handler a hard time today and distracted on the move so did not give the best of herself.
3 Phillips’ Shakina Cotton Candy (RRidgeback)
Special Yearling 17/14
1 Phillips’ Shakina Bee Light In The Dark (RRidgeback) Well off for bone, would like a little more angulation all through. Good head, she is strong but feminine. Sound on the move with good front extension.
2 Nevison’s Bikquest Sunshine Ember (RRidgeback) – A little high in the rear at the moment and would prefer more angles all through. She was sound with some reach and drive. Well-conditioned.
3 Nevison’s Bikquest Helios Sunreacher (RRidgeback)
Open 8/6
1 Priorpark’s Par The Course JW (RRidgeback) – Well balnced male with excellent proportions, Nothing overdone about him, Lovey head with strength and power. Good neck, correct front and rear and absolutely solid condition. Sound and true on the move.

1 Morland’s Ch Zoraden Gossip Girl JW (Whippet) – My find of the day. She is undeniably WHIPPET. So beautifully made she flows from her nose to her tail with absolutely no exaggerations. A glorious head, long neck, super front and matching rear, curvy in all the right placed. Excels on the move with a light daisy cutting action and true in all directions.
2 Parsons’ Ch Priorpark Proof In Pudding JW (RRidgeback) Beautiful girl with great proportions and balance. Solid but feminine all through. Excellent head with lovely expression. Best of fronts, well ribbed back with a short strong loin. Super rear with moderate angulation. Excels on move, reach and drive with clean action.
3 Campling’s Ch Classicus Octavius (Saluki) Cream male, he has substance whilst retaining elegance. Lovely head, good neck and balanced angulation front and rear. Lovely mover with an easy gait and true action.
4 Phillips’ Summerview Midnight Sky (Dach Min Long - Critiqued above)
Hound Puppy Group
1 Lloyd & Webster’s Yassir Del Ghyryo imp Bel (Afghan Hound) RBPIS – I absolutely loved this puppy. All male, he is of correct size and masculine without being course. Beautiful expression coming from his dark well shaped eyes. His head is a touch strong for my preference but it’s balanced. Excels in front, long neck that sits cleanly into a long slopping shoulder with excellent return of upper arm. Well ribbed deep chest with excellent forechest, short loin and a well angulated rear. Finished with a ring tail that’s set well. When settled on the move, he possesses a typical but rarely seen springy gait with excellent reach in front.
2 Sanders-Parker’s Heart & Soul Jp Nashwa Classicus imp Jpn (Saluki) - So much to like about this girl and very unlucky to come up against 1st a very close decision. Well made all through with the most beautiful head. She is quite mature for her age, lovely front and rear. Good depth and well ribbed. Lovlet mover, with sound easy strides, I am sure she will worry the best when fully mature
3 Muggleton & Magri’s Rozamie Respectable (Dach Min Wire - Critiqued above)
4 Weston & Ellrich’s Rubens Grand Grades (Basset Hound) – Well off for bone with excellent substance. Good head and attractive proportions. Well made through and appears quite mature for age. Great attitude. Sound and stylish mover.
