2 very nice specimens in this class.
1st Davies’ Sensha Big Dreams at Shinzam - ultra feminine bitch presenting a picture of balance. Smaller in frame against her male kennelmate as expected but still demonstrating substance and power. Head large and proportionate, flat skull, broad with a definite stop. Strong, powerful muzzle of good length. Well developed cheeks, well pigmented nose and lips. Small, almond shaped eye, dark, well set giving pleasing expression. Neat, triangular ears of correct set. Well crested, strong neck flowing into correct shoulder placement. Forelegs straight and of strong bone. In excellent muscular condition throughout, good depth of chest with enough forechest. Level topline carried at all times, short, firm loin. Hindquarters strong and sound matching angles of fore. Tail large and full carried over her back and set high. Moved soundly from all angles with powerful and purposeful strides. BOB & Group 2
2nd Davies’ Ch Redwitch This Is Me at Shinzam - 5 year old male, as masculine as the bitch was feminine and not surprised to see he has his crown. A very worthy champion. Powerful and upstanding with a balanced outline, well sized with plenty of substance. Handsome head of good proportions, flat, broad skull, muzzle of good length, strong. Cheeks well developed, large black nose. Dark, almond shaped eyes of good set and size, full of attitude. Small ears, triangular and well set. Strong, thick, muscular neck, not quite the crest of 1st. Moderately laid shoulders, strong forelegs of quality bone. Solid body, well ribbed back with good spring, level topline, strong, firm loin. Moderate hindquarters with well developed thighs. Moved steadily and soundly.

1st Dewcroft’s Joubello Heaven Sent - Handsome 17 month old black & white spotted male. Skull flat and broad with strong, proportionate muzzle, clean fitting lips. Eyes of medium size, oval, colour harmonising with coat colour and giving intelligent expression. Ears of good set, shape and size. Enough neck into a decent lay of shoulder, straight forelegs with quality bone. Chest still to develop, looking slightly leggy today but plenty of time to mature in body. Well sprung ribs carried well back, firm loin. Hind angles matching those of his fore. Moved steadily.

1st Grant’s Kevin Dude Of The Glen at Bevahalli - Liver & White male of good size and substance. Masculine head with handsome expression, head of decent proportions, flat, broad skull, moderate stop with muzzle of good length. Eyes well sized, amber, of correct set with well pigmented eye rims. Correct ear set. Good neck fitting into well laid shoulders. Forelegs straight with good bone. Could have a little more forechest. Nice body proportions and well muscled throughout, ribs well sprung and carried well back, muscular loin, level topline kept at all times. Hindquarters strong and sound. Moved well from all angles.
2nd Dewcroft’s Dvojica Countess Caledonia - another liver spotted, this one a 9 year old bitch who is an absolute credit to her owners. In super condition and defying her years. Balanced outline, well sized with good substance. Pretty head of good proportions, eyes of correct set, size and amber colour giving an intelligent expression. Nice amount of neck into a sound front assembly, straight forelegs, good depth of chest and round tight feet. Well ribbed back with good spring, muscular loin, good topline. Hindquarters sound with good bend to stifles and low set hocks. Moved a little close behind. Delighted to also award her 1st in AV Utility Veteran and see her go Res. BVIS - very well done!
Boston Terrier Open (2)
1st Scott’s Ch Aprika Fargo at Rudino JW - My star of the day and one I have admired previously. There is nothing to hide on a Boston and this one ticks so many boxes for me. Striking, typy outline, so well balanced, of good size and substance. Ultra feminine head and expression, flat, square skull, clean forehead, definite stop. Muzzle short and square with broad underjaw, well developed flews. Nose well pigmented. Eyes dark, round and set well apart giving a pleasing expression. Neat, erect ears well set. Neck of good length with slight arch fitting smoothly into a sound front assembly. Shoulders well laid, good depth of chest and straight forelegs, neat feet. Short, compact body with well sprung ribs, short loin, well muscled throughout. Muscular hindquarters of correct angulation, well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Moved beautifully from all angles with style and grace. BOB, GROUP 1 and 1st in AV Champion Stakes.
2nd McCallum’s Burlesk Varlove Billy Whizz Bang - 8 month old young man looking very much the baby in this class. Nevertheless a lot to like about him. Good size and substance for age with bags of attitude! Handsome head of good proportions, square, flat skull, short muzzle of good width and depth. Eyes well spaced apart, dark, round and full of mischief. Erect ears, small and neat. Nice amount of neck into well laid shoulders. Still to develop in chest and body as expected at this age. Well sprung ribs, a little longer in loin than 1st. Hindquarters well angulated. Moved well once settled. Also 1st AV Utility Minor Puppy and delighted to see him go RBMPIS

2nd Best-Rawlings’ Tapena No Ryuu Tomodachi at Trixwood ShCEx - Another nice male from this kennel, just preferred front and movement of his kennelmate. Good outline and well sized. Head of good proportions, balanced with a pleasing expression. Dark, almond shaped eyes well set. Triangular ears, neat and erect. Enough neck, well crested, and fitting into a moderate lay of shoulder. Well sprung ribs, level topline, short loin. Hindquarters of moderate angles and matching that of fore, well muscled. High set tail of correct carriage. Moved ok.

2nd Logan’s Spyanki Impulse JW - 2 year old male, just a little too much of him for me, nevertheless, he is well balanced, sturdy and has good substance. Nice head, masculine with good skull to muzzle ratio, strong jaw with tidy, correct bite. Oval, dark eyes, well sized with dark eye rims. Well feathered pendant ears. Good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, nice forechest and well ribbed back. Level topline. Strong and muscular hindquarters with well bent stifles and parallel hocks. Abundant coat of good texture presented well. Moved with purpose and attitude.

Elegant neck with good arch flowing gracefully into well laid shoulders, forelegs straight and of quality bone. Nice depth of chest. Sturdy, compact body, well sprung ribs carried well back, short, muscular loin, level topline kept at all times. Good bend to stifles, parallel hocks propelling her on the move. Tail of correct set and carriage. Moved jauntily and freely from all angles.
2nd Logan’s Spyanki Eobard Thawne JW - Different type to 1st and pushed her hard. Another with a good outline. Nicely sized for a male with sturdy, muscular body. Handsome head, masculine with no coarseness, well proportioned skull and muzzle, good width to underjaw. Lovely, dark oval eyes well set and so full of expression. Pendant ears with plenty of feathering. Nice reach of neck into a sound front assembly, good chest and forechest, strong, straight forelegs of quality bone. Compact body, muscular throughout, well ribbed back with good spring, taut, short loin. Level back. Muscular hindquarters with good bend to stifles and parallel hocks. High set tail well carried over back, plenty of furnishings. Moved soundly.

Dark, oval eyes of correct set and size. Neat little ears, v-shaped and well set. Would like a little more neck, shoulders of adequate angles, straight forelegs of strong bone. Enough chest, solid little body with good muscletone throughout, ribs well sprung and carried well back, short, firm loin. Hindquarters well muscled with good bend to stifles and low set parallel hocks. Harsh jacket presented smartly. Moved soundly.
2nd Black & Black’s Rynuan Sea The Stars with Zaandam - 5 year old pepper and salt, giving his handler a hard time today and not using himself to his best on the move. A well balanced outline, smart and compact, almost square. Head of good proportions, powerful muzzle of good length, jaws strong, well pigmented nose and eye rims. Eyes dark and oval well set in his skull, good earset, v-shaped and of correct size. Better neck than 1st, shoulders well laid and good depth of chest. Compact body, level topline, good spring of rib. Sound hindquarters. Coat of good texture, harsh and smartly presented.

Presenting an elegant, balanced outline on the stack, well sized. Exquisite headpiece, long and fine with some stop, good chiselling and correct length to muzzle, definite chin. Expressive, dark, almond shaped eyes. Ears set low and framing his handsome face well. Good reach of neck flowing smoothly into well laid shoulders, chest of good depth and forelegs straight with quality bone, neat, tight feet. Compact body of good width throughout, well sprung ribs, broad, firm loin, level topline which he kept at all times. Well developed hindquarters with good angulation propelling him on the move. Compact body with well sprung ribs, muscular loin. Sound hindquarters. Neat, tight feet. High set tail. Harsh, dense coat presented well. A little unsure of her surroundings today, moved a little close behind.

1st Duncan’s Susu Appley Ever After JW - Striking 11 month old male. Mature for his age and so well schooled by his talented young handler. Well balanced and of good size and proportions. Masculine head developing well, skull slightly rounded, muzzle of correct length with good cushioning and chin. Expressive eyes, dark brown in colour well set in his handsome face. Well pigmented nose and eye rims. Ears of correct set, shape and size with feathering coming in well. Correct dentition. Nice amount of neck fitting into well laid shoulders forelegs of correct bone with slight bowing as desired. Chest still to develop as expected at this age. Good body proportions with well sprung ribs, carried well back. His coat development at the moment tended to make him look a little bum high today but upon further examination his topline is indeed level. Hindquarters strong and sound, angles matching that of his fore. High set tail, well plumed and carried well on the move. Moved well from all angles.
2nd Christie’s Balgay Golden Buzzer - 19 month old male. Another nice exhibit, going through a slight “teenage” stage just now. Lovely head of good proportions, masculine expression, skull slightly domed, definite stop, muzzle of good length and depth with some cushioning. Good chin. Eyes dark with well pigmented eye rims, moderate size, oval and well set. Medium sized, pendant ears with some feathering which he used well. Nice neck into a sound front assembly. Forelegs with correct amount of bowing, well boned. Well sprung ribs, would just like him a shade shorter in loin. Well made hindquarters with moderate angles. High set tail of good carriage and well plumed. Moved ok, just preferred front movement of 1st.
