1st Saafan’s Geovanic Cupids Arrow - 14 month old white male. Good for size and substance and creating a balanced outline. Large, broad, square head with fine wrinkles, short, broad muzzle, well turned up underjaw. Flews thick and well developed. Nose large, well pigmented with wide open nostrils. Clear, dark, round eyes well spaced in his handsome face. Ears set high, neat and rose shaped. Good mouth. Strong neck of good length, muscular and fitting into broad shoulders. Front strong and muscular, forelegs of strong bone, chest developing well for age, well sprung ribs carried well back, short backed with correct topline, would like him a fraction shorter in loin. Muscular throughout. Hindquarters strong, sound and well muscled with good angulation. Moved well from all angles. BOB

1st Saafan’s Geovanic Cupid Queen - 14 month old red & white bitch and litter sister to BOB. Nice shape and size with good substance and muscle tone throughout. Feminine expression. Pleasing head of good proportions, large and broad with fine wrinkles on flat forehead, not overdone, well defined stop, muzzle short and strong, broad jaw with good turn up. Large nose with good open nostrils, black and well pigmented. Clear, dark, expressive eyes of correct set. High set, rose ears. Muscular neck fitting into a correct front assembly. Strong shoulders, well boned forelegs and chest developing well. Muscular body throughout, ribs well sprung and carried well back, strong, short loin, correct topline. Hindquarters strong and sound. Moved well.

2nd Brownbill’s Bokabull Beth Mead Wigbull - Another nice red & white bitch of 2 years old. Shapely and feminine, well muscled and good substance for her size. Just preferred 1sts expression and movement today. Nevertheless, her head is proportionate, large and broad with short, square muzzle, fine wrinkles and good turn up of underjaw. Teeth and bite good. Well pigmented nose and eye rims. Round, clear dark eyes well placed in her skull. High set, neat, rose ears. Muscular neck fitting into strong shoulders, well boned forelegs and a well developed chest. Ribs well sprung, muscular throughout, short, strong loin. Hindquarters strong and sound. Moved ok.

1st Pruden’s Pinyinz Sugar Hiccups - Lovely bitch of good shape and size. Gold & white with pleasing, feminine expression. Broad head with good width between her correct, round eyes, square, short muzzle with well placed, dark pigmented nose. Large, dark eyes of correct set adding to her melting expression. Ears long, well set and blending well. Arched neck of decent length fitting into a sound front assembly. Forelegs short and strong, broad chest which is well let down. Proportionate body, strong and sturdy throughout, well rounded ribcage with ribs carried well back, level topline kept at all times. Hindquarters well muscled with correct angulation. High set tail. Coat of good texture, presented well. Moved soundly showing full pad.

2nd Moore’s Unstoppable Alpiu Slenis to Jaxtu JW - Another quality youngster who is of different type to 1st with lots to like and has plenty of positive attributes. Male gold & white with a balanced outline. Masculine head and expression, proportionate, skull broad, square, short muzzle with good width to underjaw. Well pigmented nose, well placed in his handsome face. Lustrous, dark, round eyes of good size and set. Good reach of neck, well arched and flowing into well laid shoulders. Strong forelegs of ample bone. Chest developing well. Well sprung ribs carried well back, loin short and strong. Sound hindquarters with good muscle tone. High set tail, flying it slightly today. Correct coat presented in super condition. Moved well, pushed 1st hard.

Pretty head with arrogant expression, broad skull, round and with square, short muzzle, enough underjaw, black nose with wide open nostrils. Good bite. Large, dark, round, expressive eyes well placed in her feminine face. Ears large, long and mingling well with neck coat. Decent front with good depth and width to chest, forelegs short and well boned. Good length to body, ribs well sprung and carried well back, muscular, short loin, level topline. Hindquarters matching her front angles. Coat of correct texture. Moved with style.

1st Baldwin’s Valkiria Sweet Addict for Maili JW - Striking black & white bitch of 3 years old. She is of good type and scores highly on her lovely shape and size. Ultra feminine with exquisite expression. Good breadth and width to skull with nice beard and whiskers, square, short muzzle, nose well placed with wide open nostrils. Nice width to underjaw. Large, dark, round eyes well spaced apart. Neck of good length and fitting into a correct front assembly, well laid shoulders, forelegs short and strong with good bone. Broad chest of good width and depth. Proportionate body with good height to length ratio, ribs well sprung and carried well back, strong, short loin. Hindquarters well developed with muscular thighs, well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. High set tail of good carriage. Coat presented in excellent condition Moved with style and sass showing full pad. BOB

2nd Skawska’s Charmant Charlotte Enigmatyczny Zakatek Mapimakastar - Defying her age at 9 years old. Black & White bitch so full of her own self importance. Typical arrogant, snooty expression, nice head proportions with good beard and whiskers, short, square muzzle, well pigmented nose. Large, dark round eyes well spaced apart. Well laid shoulders, strong, short forelegs, broad chested. In lovely body condition, well sprung ribs, keeping her topline at all times. Hindquarters well developed and of correct angles. Moved soundly.

JUNIOR (8, 4abs) A lovely class of exhibits, all at different stages in their development.

1st Hall’s Shenedene Now Trending - 8.5 month old bitch who won this class on her overall balance and outline. Feminine and of good type. Proportionate head, strong muzzle of good length, well pigmented. Expressive, dark, oval eyes of correct size and set adding to her pleasing expression. Pendant ears. Neck of good length with slight arch and flowing seamlessly into well laid shoulders. Forelegs straight, chest developing well for age, well sprung ribs carried well back, short, strong loin, level topline which she kept at all times. Hindquarters well angulated with good bend to stifles and low set parallel hocks. High set tail, well feathered and of correct carriage. Coat of good texture presented in excellent condition. 2nd O’Docherty Kutani Astra with Autumnspell - A more mature bitch, just out of puppy and pushed 1st hard, just preferred overall expression of the winner today. Presents a balanced outline and is of good shape and size. Feminine head and expression, correct skull shape, muzzle of good length with nice beard and whiskers. Dark, expressive eyes well set in her pretty face. Neck of good length, arched and fitting into a sound front assembly. Proportionate, compact body, slightly longer than high, well ribbed back, level topline. Presented and turned out in pristine conditon Well angulated hindquarters. Moved soundly.

1st Hall & Wiltshire’s Shenedene Two Faced with Thwaitlake - Stood alone in this class but just got better and better as the day went on. 14 months old. Typical outline, balanced and of good size and shape, well muscled throughout and presented to perfection. Beautiful head and expression, correct length and depth to muzzle, well pigmented. Expressive, dark, oval eyes, medium in size and well set in her pretty face. Pendant ears with good feathering. Neck muscular and well arched fitting into well laid shoulders, forelegs strong and straight of quality bone. Well developed chest. Compact body of good proportions, well sprung ribs carried well back, level topline, firm, short loin. Hindquarters well developed with good bend to stifles and low set parallel hocks. 1st Crook & Hall’s Shenedene Kiss My Pix Sell with Charjilliam - 2 year old bitch who has matured beautifully since I last judged her. Lovely head and feminine expression, proportionate with good length and depth to muzzle, expressive dark oval eyes, well set and of good size. Lovely reach to neck fitting into a sound front assembly, good depth to chest, forelegs straight and strong. Compact body with good height to length ratio, well ribbed back with good spring, muscular loin, level topline kept at all times. Hindquarters well angulated and matching that of her forequarters. Moved typically, balanced in profile movement and going with plenty of reach and drive.

1st Rhodes & Reece Wynchobe One and Only - Delightful male black Chow Chow of just 6 months. Balanced, square outline, typically leonine. Flat, broad skull with good fill, broad muzzle of good length, large, well pigmented nose. Dark, oval shaped eyes, clear and expressive, well placed in his skull. Small, neat little ears set well apart. Good bite with well pigmented gums, mouth and tongue. Strong neck, slightly arched and fitting into a sound front assembly. Straight forelegs with strong bone, chest still to develop as expected at this age. Well sprung ribs carried well back, short, strong loin, level topline which he kept at all times. Correct hindquarters with slight bend to stifles, well let down, parallel hocks. High set tail of correct carriage. Good puppy coat of correct texture. Moved typically with short, free strides. 2nd Foy’s Ramannire’s Villanelle - Another very nice Chow. This one a fawn female, so very well schooled for one so young, with only eyes for her handler. Good size and substance with square outline. Feminine head and expression, broad skull with proportionate muzzle, well filled out, pigment absolutely correct and harmonising with her coat colour, well pigmented gums, tongue and lips. Expressive, oval eyes of good size and set. Neat little ears well set apart giving typical scowl. Well constructed throughout, sound front and hind assembly, compact body with well sprung ribs. Another good mover.

POST GRADUATE (2, 1abs)

1st Perfitt’s Richearon All About Audrey of Hilshki - 2 year old gold Tibetan Spaniel bitch presenting a well balanced outline. Good head and pretty, feminine expression. Skull slightly rounded, and of good width, clear stop, blunt muzzle of good length with nice amount of cushioning, defined chin with good width to underjaw. Correct bite. Dark, oval eyes, full of expression. Pendant ears, set high which she used well. Strong neck into well laid shoulders, chest of good depth and width, forelegs of quality bone. Correct length to body, not overly long, ribs carried well back with firm loin. Level topline kept at all times. Hindquarters sound and strong with good muscle tone and angulation. High set tail carried well over her back. Moved well from all angles.

OPEN (7, 2abs) - A quality class with lots of exhibits which were excellent examples of their respective breeds.

1st Gleave’s Ch/Int Ch/Ir/Nl Ch Montravia Enchanted Code by Ryneco JW ShCEx - Black Standard Poodle of 4 years old. I judged this bitch as a youngster and she has matured ever so nicely. Gorgeous head and eye with wicked expression. Elegant and well balanced throughout. Long, lean skull with slight stop, strong muzzle with good chiselling, definite chin. Eyes dark and almond in shape well placed in her pretty face. Ears of correct size, shape and set framing her face well. Neck of good length flowing seamlessly into well laid shoulders, forelegs straight and strong with quality bone. Good depth of chest. Short backed, ribs well sprung and carried well back, muscular loin. Well developed hindquarters with good muscle tone and angulation, well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. High set tail of good carriage. Crisp, harsh coat presented to perfection. Very stylish and balanced on the move with plenty of reach and drive.

2nd Ward’s Ch Llwyni Rock N Roll Star JW - Another quality exhibit who pushed 1st all the way. Beautiful Japanese Spitz male turned out in pristine coat and condition. Very very unlucky to meet 1st on such top form. Balanced outline and of good shape and size. Wedge shaped head with slightly rounded skull, good breadth with a well defined stop. Proportionate muzzle, pointed and well tapered. Excellent pigment throughout with jet black nose, eye rims and lips. Dark eyes, oval in shape, set slightly obliquely adding to his glorious expression. Neat, erect, triangular ears, set high and correctly spaced. Strong, well arched neck into well laid shoulders, straight forelegs, neat catlike feet. Correct body proportions, well muscled throughout, chest of good depth and breadth, well sprung ribs, muscular, short loin with moderate tuck up. Hindquarters strong and sound, matching that of his fore angles. High set tail, covered with profuse hair and carried well over his back. Moved truly coming and going and showing off his effortless, brisk action in profile.

Strong neck into broad, well sloped shoulders. Straight forelegs, well placed under him with strong bone. Good depth of chest, short backed with well sprung ribs. Hindquarters well muscled and of correct angulation. Moved with typical brisk action.

Moved well with typical arrogance!

JUNIOR HANDLING

6-11 yrs

1st William Wearden - Sympathetic young man, handling a Border Collie. Talked to and encouraged his dog quietly and confidently in a controlled manner. Freestood his charge well and moved at correct pace. Just needs to remember the golden rule of not coming between dog and judge.

2nd Jacob Perfitt-Jones - Another quiet, controlled and good little handler handing an Alaskan Malamute. Need to build his confidence a little and believe in his own abilities. Encouraged his charge well, stacked and stood dog correctly and moved at the correct speed. Again, just needs to remember the golden rule.

12-16yrs

1st Maddie Buchwald - Confident, competent and talented handler. Handling a Whippet. Very sympathetic and doesn’t overhandle her charge. Quietly encouraged her dog, was aware of where I was at all times. Moved her dog at the correct pace and presented it to best advantage at all times. Tidy lead control, showed mouth and teeth well.

2nd Charlotte Robertshaw - Another good handler who was handling a somewhat uncooperative Golden Retriever today. She worked so hard to keep its attention and stayed calm and quiet to get his attention back. Tidy shadowing, didn’t ever get between myself and the dog and moved her charge at correct pace. Just needs to keep a slightly tidier lead.
