English Springer Spaniel

Puppy (2,0)

1st Peasblossom Emotions With Teignvalley (Mrs C Hill)

Pretty head with good chiselling, correct dark almond eyes, and well-set ears. Good neck and shoulder placement, tidy feet, and short pasterns. Moved well today, which gave her the edge. BPIB & RBOB, Puppy G2. Well done.

2nd Peasblossom Eros (Miss P Watts)

Lovely shape and appealing expression with well-set ears. Good depth of chest and clean topline with well-let-down hocks. Moved reasonably well.

Post Graduate (2,0)

1st Pinhays Princess Sarah (Mrs J I Kibby)

Good brows and ear placement with enough neck and straight forelegs. Would prefer a little more chest depth, but she has good ribbing, plenty of coat, and a nice stifle.

2nd Pinhays Pride And Joy (Mr C Kibby)

Sweet expression with enough muzzle depth. Good neck and straight forelegs with a decent croup. Would benefit from more stifle, moved okay.

Open (1,0)

1st Teignvalley New Beginnings JW (Mrs C Hill)

Lovely compact dog with a pleasing head and expression, dark eye, and well-set ears. Well boned with plenty of coat, good chest depth, tight feet, and short pasterns. Moved soundly and true to type. BOB.

Pointer

Puppy (1,0)

1st Fleurfield Benjamin Button With Marissolo (Mrs M Osman)

Really liked this boy’s head and kind expression. Plenty of neck, though his front still needs time to develop. Straight forelegs and enough stifle, slightly upright in pasterns. Settled well on the move. BP.

Post Graduate (2,0)

1st Cattistock Cosmos With Marissolo (Mrs M Osman)

Clean head with a pleasing expression and well-set ears. Muscular neck with good fore angulation and chest depth. Straight forelegs and nice curves throughout. Would prefer slightly better pasterns. Correct tail carriage on the move. RBOB.

2nd Fleurfield Benjamin Button With Marissolo (Mrs M Osman)

Open (1,0)

1st Sunhouse Black Is Back At Salmonmist JW (AI) (Mrs S R Philo)

Strongly built black and white dog with fine ears and dark eye. Would like a little more neck and fore angulation, but he has good chest depth, ribbing, neat feet, and is well muscled. Moved with drive and deserved his win today. BOB, Group 1, BIS. Congratulations.

Welsh Springer Spaniel

Puppy (1,0)

1st Roxdale Wispa By Kylowen (B & K Attwood)

Very much a baby enjoying herself in the ring. Feminine head with a correct dark eye for age. Forechest and ribbing developing nicely. Would prefer a touch shorter in coupling. Good hindquarters and moderate stifle for age. Happy mover with good drive. BP.

Post Graduate (1,0)

1st Ferndel Rebecca For Benoveor (Mrs V & Miss H & Mrs J McIlwaine & Mrs McIlwaine & Reynolds)

A very typey, feminine, and balanced bitch who caught my eye. Pretty head with good proportions, plenty of fore angulation, nice brisket depth, spring of rib, and correct short coupling. Not at her happiest on the move today, but moved cleanly with enough drive. BOB.

Open (2,0)

1st Benoveor The Show Must Go On (Miss K & Mrs V Reynolds & McIlwaine)

Nicely compact dog with a masculine head and soft expression. Plenty of neck, good shoulder placement, deep brisket, and enough ribbing. Would like a little more stifle and pastern angulation, though he moved well. RBOB.

2nd Ir Sh Ch Kylowen Demelza VW Ir VCH (B & K Attwood)

More rangy than the winner but feminine with good muzzle proportions. Enough neck and decent ribbing. Would prefer a firmer topline. Good hindquarters and enough stifle.

Large Munsterlander

Puppy (4,0)

1st Leriton Antlia (Ms C & Mrs L Simpson & Johnston)

One of four littermates, 9 months old and well balanced. Dark eye, correct ears, straight forelegs, strong topline, and correct coupling. Good stifle and hocks for age, and the best mover in the class. BP.

2nd Leriton Corvus Astron (Mr M & Mrs C Wakefield)

Substantial, well-boned dog with a masculine head and good ear set. Nice front and strong topline. Preferred the winner’s movement and coupling.

3rd Leriton Ophiuchus (Mr M & Mrs Wakefield)

Post Graduate (3,0)

1st Wonglepong Willows Sunbird (Mr P Disney)

Pretty expression and balanced head. Would like a touch more neck, but she has a good front, plenty of ribbing, and a strong loin. Topline could be firmer. Moved soundly with correct tail carriage.

2nd Kamaze’s Dancing Queen (Mrs K Callie)

At 18 months, she is developing nicely. Typical head, dark eye, and good ear set with strong neck and shoulders. Would like a little more front width. Unfortunately lacked the drive of the winner today.

3rd Ekkolander Merlot (Mr M & Mrs C Wakefield)

Open (3,0)

1st Kamaze Dance In The Dark (Mr P W Disney)

A very impressive example. Balanced throughout with a pleasing expression, strong neck, good front assembly, excellent topline, and muscular loin. Sound and free-moving. BOB.

2nd Ekkolander Persephone Red At Leriton (Ms C & Mrs L Simpson & Johnston)

Feminine bitch with quality throughout, though a little rangier for my preference. Lovely expression, good fore angulation, firm topline, and good brisket depth. Slightly steep croup but moved with plenty of drive. RBOB.
