Rhodesian Ridgeback

Temperaments were wonderful, all ridges were correct. Movement generally was free and active. Front movement was straight forward, hind movement a little close. All coat colours were within the standard.

Puppy (1)

1 Hodge’s Colkeririn To The Nines. Promising bitch. I liked her very much. Feminine head with round, dark eyes and well placed ears giving her the typical expression for the breed. Good reach of neck leading into well placed shoulders. Chest developing, ribbing carried well back. Good turn of stifle. Hocks well let down. Moved with long, easy strides keeping a level top line. Good feet. Well trained for the show ring. BP

Junior (5)

1 Lloyd Jones’ Africaner Sundown. Upstanding male. Well proportioned head with dark, round eyes and high positioned ears. Good reach of neck leading into well positioned shoulders. Developed chest. Length of ribbing, hind quarters and feet all good. Moved well coming and going with easy strides keeping a level top line. I hope he doesn’t grow on to be too tall. RBOB

2 Catharell’s Kinabula’s Making Magick For Faahac. Lovely male. Much of the same remarks apply. Movement was good, not quite as positive as 1.

3 Akers’ Carlincox Knock Em Off.

1 Catherall’s Kinabula’s Making Magick For Faahac. Repeat from 2nd in Junior.

2 Dennis’ Priorpark Pragmatist. Male with head of correct planes, dark eyes and well positioned ears. Good reach of neck leading into sloping shoulders. Balanced body proportions. Chest meets elbows. Level top line, good ribbing and good hind quarters. Moved with long easy strides.

3 Hancock’s Stasimelsie Mace.

1 Dawson, Dawson and Parsons’ Priorpark Problem Solved. Handsome male who impressed with his good bone and strong physique. Lovely, balanced head, typical of the breed. Good length of neck leading into a good lay of shoulder. Well developed front, level top line kept on the move. Ribbing could be carried back a touch further. Good hind quarters, hocks well let down and well knuckled feet. Moved with a long, free striding gait which had more drive than 2. BOB

2 Thomas-Bassett’s Fiadma’s Stiggens At Skyleridge. Balanced male with good length of neck leading into good shoulders. Preferred head of 1. Well off for bone. Developed chest reaching down to elbows. Ribbing could be carried back a little further. Well let down hocks. Good feet. Not quite the movement of 1.

1 Cartwright’s Starluxluna Cosmic Alchemy. Feminine bitch with lovely head and dark, oval eyes. Typical expression for the breed. Good length of neck, well placed shoulders, ample heart and lung room. Good front, broad back, well knuckled, oval feet. Accurate movement. BP

Junior (1)

1 Blackburn’s Mazargo Whole Lotta Trouble.

Male that moved with some drive. Pleasant head. Good length of neck leading into sloping shoulders. Curvaceous top line. Ample heart and lung room.

 Good infill, good tuckup. Well knuckled feet. RBOB

Post Graduate (2)

1 Edwards’ Lawleymoon Ereza Mar At Landsbirch. A bitch that moved a little more energetically than 2. Pleasant head with dark, oval eyes. Good reach of neck leading into sloping shoulders. Good heart and lung room. Well knuckled feet. Kept her shape on the move.

2 Bowyer’s Kipipiriking Jingle Bells. Bitch. Many of the remarks above apply. Movement not quite as positive as 1.

1 Vaughan-Wall’s Shirotae Paws For A Song. A bitch that won this class on her movement which had some drive and was more accurate than 2. Feminine head with dark, oval eyes. Good neck leading into well positioned shoulders. Chest deep with plenty of heart and lung room. Good tuck up. Kept her shape on the move. Well knuckled feet. BOB

2 Edwards’ Landsbirch Isadora. Many of the remarks above apply to this bitch. Just not quite the movement of 1.

1 Osbourne’s Wayne Sleep With Braego. PBGV. A dog I have judged as a puppy and he has fulfilled his early promise. Moved true coming and going showing his lively personality. Correct head and body proportions with dark oval eyes and good pigment. Compact body with good length of neck leading into a good lay of shoulder. Level topline kept whilst moving with reach and drive. Harsh coat. Good feet. BAVNSC. HG2.

Close decision between the first two.

1 Osbourne’s Derochaise Vincenzo Di Braego. Male Wire Haired Dachshund. Typical head for the breed being conical when viewed from above. Correct body proportions with ground clearance. Good length of neck leading into well positioned shoulders. Good spring of rib, good bend of stifle. Moved true coming and going. Good feet.

2 Whitaker-Crosby’s Cobyco Could Be The Last At Mulcair JW ShCM VW. Whippet. A feminine bitch that moved keeping her shape and outline. Typical head for the breed being long and lean. Long neck leading into well laid shoulders. Deep chest with plenty of heart room, well filled in front. Moved precisely.

3 Phillips’ Stargang High Hopes Of Robinswood VW. Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund.

1 Reynolds’ Kleinstar Moongazer. Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund. Dog with masculine attributes. Conical head with dark, obliquely set eyes. Correct head and body proportions. Good length of neck leading into a good lay of shoulder. Prominent chest, ribbing caried well back with corresponding short loin. Good ground clearance. Level top line held whilst moving with long strides, free and flowing with parallel action. Moved with enthusiasm.

3 Rhodes, Shaverneva & Garrad’s Alaqadar Ariodante Of Shadowfax (AI) (IMP AUS) Afghan Hound.

1 Bellringer’s Cloudside Ebony Prince At Johda. Afghan Hound. Male with proud and dignified head, dark eyes and strong jaw. Long foreface. Long neck leading into well layed shoulders. Level top line. Good depth of chest, prominent pin bones. Good turn of stifle. Well set on ring tail. Movement true coming and going with the smooth and springy gait that the standard calls for.

2 Vincent’s Moatcrest Miss Daisy At Gainscroft. All feminine bitch with correct head and body proportions. Dark eyes obliquely set. Good scissor bite. Good length of neck leading into well layed shoulders. Prominent chest. Level top line stacked and held whilst moving. Good bend of stifle and well padded feet. Moved out with enthusiasm, reach and drive.
