St Helens & District Canine Society

Thanks to the Officers & Committee of St Helens & District Canine Society for their invitation to judge at their Open show on the 16th of February 2025. Also, to both my stewards who helped my classes run smoothly, and the exhibitors for your entries. It was very much appreciated; I had some lovely dogs to go over with many no doubt changing places on another day.

CHINESE CRESTED

PUPPY (3)

1st Miss V Routledge`s Valentino Von Shinbashi. A very smart six-month-old black and white powderpuff boy with a good coat. Appealing head with dark almond-shaped eyes, scissor bite, and large erect correctly set ears. Nice neck leading to well laid-back shoulders, level top line. Well-angulated at both ends. Excellent, steady movement. BPIB

2nd Mrs. J Marina`s Akateal Keep the Faith with Marinbox, another nice puppy, a 9-month-old sable & white male. A good head with a lovely dark eye, correct bite, ears erect and set on well, good reach of neck, a level top line, well angulated with a long soft coat. Moved well.

JUNIOR (2)

1st Miss S Seed`s Chundecrest Mazikeen Might 1-year-old black and white bitch. Liked her head and expression, correct bite with good dark almond-shaped eyes, and well-placed ears with plenty of fringing. Straight front, nice fore chest, level top line nicely angulated. Moved out with drive.

2nd Miss S seed`s Chundecrest Sir Valentino, Litter brother to 1.A good head, correct bite, dark eye, and low set upright ears, which he used well, again plenty of fringing. Nice forechest, top line, and movement.

POST GRADUATE

1st Miss Wlckova`s Filla Modry Kvet. A beautiful black and white bitch 2 ½ years old. A super expression dark eyes nice muzzle and correct bite, nice low set ears. Good length of neck and lay back of shoulder. She had very good angulations and moved out with drive, holding her level top line.

2nd Seed`s Chundecrest Sir Lucifer, 2 ½ years old male nice head a dark eye and correct bite. Low set ears with plenty of fringing, well laid-back shoulder level top line. The movement was also good.

OPEN (4)

1st Mrs Farquharson Shanshal Man of Steel JW impressive sable powderpuff male. A super head with dark almond-shaped eyes, correct bite, low set on, erect ears with an alert expression. A good length of neck leading to a good lay of shoulder. A level top line, correct set on tail, and good turn of stifle. Nicely balanced at both ends and had excellent movement. BOB
