St Helens & District Canine Society

Thanks to the Officers & Committee of St Helens & District Canine Society for their invitation to judge at their Open show on the 16th of February 2025. Also, my stewards who helped my classes run smoothly, and the exhibitors for your entries. It was much appreciated; I had some lovely dogs to go over. I'm sure many dogs would no doubt change places on another day.

JUNIOR (4,2a)

1st Cannon`s Flashnik Fenella Fellorick, A 17-month-old fawn bitch with a glamourous soft pale coat. A pretty head, black pigment, and dark eyes gave her a lovely soft expression. She has open nares, good width to underjaw, and well-set ears. Good reach of neck leading to well laid-back shoulder, straight front. She is short-coupled, her top line is level with a high set tail and a good turn of stifle. She moved out with drive around the ring.

2nd Cannon & Birch`s Flashnik Alcopop, 17 months old fawn male, litter brother to 1. Masculine head which was well worked with good width of underjaw. He has open nares, darkest of eyes, and pigment. Ample reach of neck, well-laid shoulders, and a good spring of rib. Level top line, high set tail, moved well.

POST GRADUATE (4,2a)

1st S Edwards Limetta Millsweet, a 3 ½-year-old bitch fawn bitch. Lovely pale coat, square and compact, nice head with open nares, dark eyes, and well-placed ears. A level top line, and well set on tail. Nice steady parallel movement.

2nd Baker`s Silverbriar Swan Song. 19-month-old fawn bitch. A nice head, dark eyes, open nares good width of jaw with a very sweet expression. Good bone, ample neck, nicely set on tail, and good turn of stifle. She moved well with drive.

OPEN (4,1a)

1st Miss K Birch`s Flashnik Glass Slipper, fawn bitch just under three years old. She caught my eye as she came in the ring. Lovely head with, dark eyes, moderate workings, open nares and a super wide under jaw. Jet black pigment and a soft feminine expression. She has super bone, is short and compact in body with a level top line and high set tail. A Short fine coat and good angulations gave her a balanced outline. Excellent movement. BOB

2nd Nixon`s Afterglow This Little Piggy. Another nice bitch which I have judged before. She is short and coby with jet black pigment throughout. A short soft pale coat. Nice head with plenty of workings, dark eye and is nicely angulated. A level top line and good tail set. Moved well.
