Whitstable & District Canine Society - 15th June 2025 Judge: Miss C. Gurtner Many thanks to the Committee for inviting me to judge at this very well run show, to my very efficient stewards & to the exhibitors for their entries. The atmosphere was excellent all day & I had plenty of different breeds to judge from in the Varieties & Stakes. Chihuahua (Long Coat) Junior (3,0): 1- Jones’ FLICKAN ANGIE’S SPIRIT : Very nice & happy bitch, excellent head shape, lovely dark eyes, ears well set, excellent body construction with a level topline, tailset well set & carried, coat in show condition, moves truly both ways, outgoing temperament – Res.BOB & BP 2- Jones’ FLICKAN FROSTY FIELDS: 7 months bitch, feminine head with the right shape, dark eyes, correct earset, excellent body, topline could be a touch firmer, tail well carried on the move, missing some coat today, moves ok, would benefit from a better reach of neck to enhance the front movement, turning front feet a bit in. 3- Smith’s OKAJEM MR BLUE MOON Post Graduate (2,1): 1- Jones’ FLICKAN FARAWAY : Masculine dog, pretty head of the right shape, earset ok, dark eyes, mouth ok, excellent body construction, topline ok, coat in excellent show condition, tail carried ok, moves very well both ways but a touch close in front, excellent happy temperament - BOB Open (3,1): 1- Carter’s LYKATH’S LIGHT OF EARENDIL IN PIXELS JW : Feminine bitch, lovely apple shaped head, mouth ok, correct earset, dark eyes, excellent neck, body & topline, quarters ok, nice tailset, coat in show condition, moves well with drive both ways, lovely temperament. 2- Jones’ FLICKAN ANGIE’S GIFT : Bitch with a pretty head, dark eyes, mouth ok, body with nice proportions, a touch on the fat side today, nice quarters, excellent condition of coat, moves ok with drive, excellent temperament. Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) Junior (1,0): 1- Mrs Gentle’s ARKOSHI STAR GAZER : Dog with a nice head shape, dark eyes, correct earset, good body & excellent angulations, tailset ok, quite shy on the table, needs more show training, movement a bit erratic - BP Post Graduate (2,1): 1- Mr & Mrs Gentle’s ARKOSHI LITTLE WHITE BULL : Dog, good head shape, eyes could be darker, good mouth, earset ok, excellent body & topline, could do with a bit more substance, tailset ok, nice coat, moves a touch close behind, temperament a bit shy – Res.BOB Open (2,0): 1- Smith’s CHIBULL MICKY MOUSE AT LOZEK : Dog with a masculine head, dark eyes, excellent earset, body well constructed & lovely neck, level topline, tail well set, excellent quarters, moves with plenty of drive both ways, happy temperament - BOB 2- Mr & Mrs Gentle’s ARKOSHI STEPIN OUT IN STYLE : Dog with a nice head, eyes could be darker, mouth ok, body could have more substance, topline could be more level, moves ok. Pomeranian Junior (5,2): 1- Brown’s ALTINA’S ALBANI AT YANIMAS : 12 months old dog with a lovely head, excellent length of muzzle & mouth, dark eyes, earset ok, short body & level topline, tail well set, in excellent coat condition, moves well with drive, happy temperament – Res.BOB 2- Moores’ CHIBAYA CATCH THE MOMENT : 6 months old bitch, lovely feminine head, still looking like a puppy, mouth ok, dark eyes, excellent body shape & tailset, level topline, still in puppy coat, moves well, happy temperament - BP 3- Holman’s AALIYAH THE SMALL STEPS AT ALTINA (IMP BUL) NAF TAF Post Graduate (3,1): 1- Benarovica’s DANCING QUEEN JUNASSMINIS WITH KINETICPOMS (IMP LVA) : Lovely bitch, feminine head, dark eyes, good stop, excellent neck, body & topline, angulations ok, tail well set, in excellent coat condition, moves with drive. 2- Hills’ TRENARWYN CATHERINE WHEEL AT SHARHAZLAN : Bitch, good shape of skull, could have a shorter muzzle, mouth ok, dark eyes, excellent body, angulations & topline, in good coat, moves ok.
