East Of Scotland Canine Club

Premier Open show, Sunday 2nd March 2025

I would like to express my thanks to the committee for this opportunity to Judge the terrier group,

never easy to take over another judge’s entry and I must express my thanks to the exhibitors for

accepting my choices. In the Adult group and Puppy group I was spoiled for choice.

AVNSC Terrier

Open (1,0abs)

1st Tempted to Chadbrook (PRT)

7-month, pretty head, a little raw round the edges as expected at this age, long sloping shoulders,

straight front, easily spannable, like the condition of the coat, overall balance good moved out freely.

Open Veteran Dog  (1,)

1st    Lamb & Saltmarsh Birselaw Come Dancing with Macmoon OSW JW SHCEX

Didn’t seem like a veteran at all, strong workman like appearance, balanced fore & Aft, moved with

free-flowing strides around the ring.

Open  Veteran Bitch  (6,2abs)

1st      McCluskey & Young Chadbrook ElKA VW

Overall pleasing balanced outline, loved her head, moderate in width drawing attention to her small

dark eye, clean neck into well laid shoulders, level topline held on the move, free striding around the

ring on her oval padded feet.   Best Veteran

2nd      Coutts IR Sh Ch Burrencroft wild at Heart SHCM VW

Such a pretty girl, looking good for being over 10 years old, short and level in back, moved out on her

round feet with sufficient drive from the rear. Presented in good condition.

Best In group

203 Macgregor’s Chadbrook Torsten - Border Terrier BIS

What can I say about this dog, caught my eye when he entered the ring and did not disappoint, nothing

overdone gave the impression he could work all day and was build for the job, the desired otter head,

with a keen expression, straight in bone, deep narrow chest, harsh coat giving him protection in all

weathers. So pleased to see him go Best in Show

232 Mccluskey Tiltser Voulez Vous Avec Chadbrook Jack Russell

Another one who was noticeable on entering the ring, lively & active, gave the impression of

sturdiness, typical in head, level topline , with a slight arch in to a short loin, Balanced fore & aft ,

moved out with free striding steps and lots of drive from the rear. Lost out to one on maturity.
