Cocker Spaniel

Puppy (4,2abs)

1st Maguire’s Suguire Truly Special   Best Puppy, Puppy group 2

Quality youngster, well-presented in good coat sturdy and balanced with good rib and correct angulation front and rear. Moved soundly and happily.

2nd Catterson’s Corlava Nola

Slightly longer cast than one, but pleasing head and expression, I would have like a little more neck to complete the picture, but there is time. Moved well

Yearling (4,1)

1st   McCullagh & Coulter McCullagh -Tobershan Felicite Total

Happy 17th month, balanced fore & aft. For me I would like a bit more work in the head, well turned in stifle, movement would benefit from a bit more muscle development.

2nd Baillie’s Thornbrook Tequila Rose

Many of the comments above apply, I just found this girl to be a little throaty. Nice thick catlike feet.

Open Dog (2,)

1st Baillie’s Thornbrook Stage whisperer CW23 CEN PW

Sturdy, well presented, square muzzle, well set ears, muscled which showed when he moved with driving action around the ring.

2nd    McIlmoyle’s Zahircocker Pote Galvev of Kensinova

Not quite the balance of one, pleasing head and ear set, for me I would like a bit more turn of stifle.

Open Bitch (4,1abs)

1st    McCullagh & Coulter McCullagh       Sh Ch Tobershan C’est la Vie (Best Of breed)

Well balance and sturdy, level topline with just enough slope towards the tail. Well sprung in rib, with a wide loin.well developed 2nd thigh, moved out well.

2nd   Baillies Thornbrook Vagabond Heart

Just a little finer overall than one, head in proportion to the body, ear set good. level topline, held on the move. covered the ground well.

Labradors

Puppy Dog or Bitch (1,0)

1st Douglas’s Talard whirlwind puppy group 4

Well named this one was a whirlwind, strongly built, broad in head, good pigment. Well laid shoulders, good depth in the chest already, well sprung barrel ribs, moved straight and true back & front.

Open Dog (2,1)

1st   Douglas’s Loretta Risen Reign over Talard BOB Group 4

Another nice one from this kennel, gives the impression of substance, broad in skull, with expressive eyes clean powerful neck in to shoulders. Level topline. wide of loin, Short coupled and deep of chest. Coat changing. Moved with drive.

Irish Setter Limit Dog/Bitch (2,0)

1st   Loughlin’s Rohanmor Faith of the Heart

Well presented in good coat, racy in appearance, feminine in head, with correct ear carriage. Balanced fore & aft. Good depth of chest. firm topline held on the move, moved freely around the ring.

2nd Graham’s Gwendariff not on your Nelly

Of larger stature, a lot of frame to fill. Still young had the gentlest of expression, deep in body, ribs carried well back. Moved ok, but as muscle develops will change.

Irish Setter Open Bitch (2,0)

1st Loughlin’s Ir Sh Ch & Int Sh Ch Rohanmor along came Polly BOB, Group 1

Have judged this girl before and she does not disappoint, racy in appearance.  Head so feminine long and lean and well proportioned, good length of muscular neck, slightly arched. Deep in chest, ribs well sprung giving plenty of heart room.  Small arched feet, she flowed around the ring, perfectly coordinated in her movement. Presented in beautifully condition.

2nd Tom’s Ir Sh Ch Ladysdale Maud Gonne Too Shilvodan

Balanced outline, presented in good condition, a shade longer in neck, slight arch. straight into shoulders, Fore legs straight with good bone. deep in chest, narrow in front, ribs well back. tended to be a little close behind.

Spaniel (American) Open Dog/bitch (4,1)

1st Little Life Bright Power Flow Group 3, Puppy group 3

Superb outline, beautifully presented. Balanced fore & aft, beautifully chiselled head, long muscular in neck, shoulder deep, elbows well let down. gave impression of a compact strong dog. Effortless on the move.

2nd Donaldson’s UK Sh CH, Ir Sh Ch CIB Chicomy’s Rumour has it

Smaller in frame than one, well developed feminine head, well set ears. Good depth to her ribs, just returning from maternity duties, so coat is changing, will be better balanced when her s full skirt returns. Covered the ground well on the move.

AVNSC Special yearling (1,0)

1st Beaumont & Beaumont’s Coedhelyg Hopes and dreams (NSDTR)

Pleasing head, with almond shaped eyes, compact and of good balance, good length of neck into well laid shoulders, well sprung ribs, level topline, good use of her tail on the move.

AVNSC Open (4,3)

1st Reynold’s Vantonia Swashbuckler of Glenarriff (Spaniel Clumber) BAVNSC Group 2

Presents a lovely outline, flowing from head to tail, like his overall proportions, strong masculine head, his strong neck into his strong shoulders, everything about him suggests a quiet strength, his movement effortless.

Golden Retriever Puppy group 1

Archibalds Abinvale  Amore Vincit Omnia

Pleasing head, with gentle expression and good pigment, well angulated front and rear quarters.

Liked the body proportions, still young and time to develop, but everything is there. Full of life, covered the ground with ease, such a happy puppy.
