SHERINGHAM AND DCS 27/04/2025

Thank you to the society for inviting me to judge BIS today, Jacky’s shows are always such a great event to attend whether you are showing or judging and today was no exception. I thought the weather was just right for the dogs allowing them all to perform at their very best. Thank you too to my 2 amazing stewards, one of whom was undertaking such duties for the first and did a brilliant job with the paperwork and keeping the ring running smoothly.

A super line up of dogs presented to me for the top awards, BIS went to Barbers Golden Retriever Messano Just good Friends with Swansreach, what a handsome boy and with what I would describe as’ a proper Goldie head with and soft biddable expression’, he was impressive on the stack looking very balanced with a good neck and strong topline and he moved out soundly with good rear drive. RBIS was Osbournes PBGV Beaujons Wayne Sleep With Braego, not yet 18 months old but with so much potential, perfect for footfall and tail carriage and presented in good coat. BPIS was Bentons Smooth Collie Blamorder Double or Quits of Oakestelle, this blue merle b is hard to ignore, she stacks up well to show off her great body shape and is nicely angulated fore and aft, I loved her head and expression and she moved so easily and lightly around the ring, surely a CH in the making. RBPIS was Timms gorgeous little French Bulldog Olijah Going In Deep judged by myself earlier in the day, and still impressing me with his free flowing movement and his togetherness for one so young. BVIS Richardson and Woods 10.5 yr old Basenji Woodella Purple Haze Over Cooperland SHCM VW. In superb condition for her age, she has a typical but desirable aristocratic look about her and she was just so effortless on the move. RBVIS was Ingram and Hendersons Doberman Multi CH jojavik Devils Ivy, a super b from this well known kennel, so clean in outline and in super condition, good wedge head, lovely neck and shoulders and covering the ground soundly and easily.

LANCASHIRE HEELERS Thank you to the LHA for supporting these classes, I was totally delighted to have all the exhibits present and as always really enjoyed judging you all ! P (2) Days Litters sisters and quite different to look 1 and BP Budds Kavalo Dancing In the Dark she appealed for her bone and substance, she has some width between the ears and a lovely dark eye, body has good ribbing and a reasonable topline, stifles are well bent, she just needs to settle on the move 2 Budds Kavalo Glory Days, not as confident as her sister when being gone over but she has a super outline and really good topline and moved out briskly and soundly SY (1) 1 Musk and Binghams Parabar Palancas Prankster 12 mth d with super bone and substance and presented in lovely coat and condition, pleasing head shape with good width between the ears, well laid shoulders and tidy elbows, enough spring of rib for his age and a strong level topline to well angulated quarters, moved out soundly L (1) 1 and RBOB Budds Tudorbrook Hocus Pocus this well marked 3.5 yr b has a really super head and expression assisted by well used ears, pleasing neck and good front and feet and a well ribbed body, moved out soundly all ways, just a tad heavier than I would like O (2) 1 and BOB Musk and Binghams Parabar Puzzling Pilot at not quite 2 years old this sturdy young dog has alot to admire, excellent head with width to skull and lovely dark eye, strong neck and well good shoulders, body is well ribbed and he holds a firm level topline both stacked and in motion, confident and brisk on the move with good tail carriage 2 Budds Parabar Primrosa such a feminine liver girl with a lovely head and expression, well set ears used to advantage, pleasing neck and front, I really liked her outline and attitude but she wasn’t so settled on the move today

DACHSCHUNDS (MLD) P (1 and BP, BOB Edwards-Everett and Everett Emeraldax Naked Kiss 11 mth cream b presented in lovely coat and condition, conical head with dark eye and well firnished ears, good keel and front, level topline and moved out soundly and smartly once settled. Stood alone but really well handled to get the best of her today.

DACHSHUNDS (MSH) I was a laugh a minute in this class with the very uncooperative young dog who finished in 2nd place but all dues to the handler who didn’t get flustered and just laughed with us all ! P (4,2) 1 and RBOB, BP and PG2 2 Furnells Vanitonia Shirley Knott With Bebecova a smart little b/t girl with everything in place, head needs to develop on but she has a good eye shape and colour and well fitting lips, pleasing length of neck into good shoulders and plenty of ground clearance, holds her topline well on the move and goes forward with confidence, needs to tighten up behind but lots ot like in this young girl 2 Portner- Mannings Wallaroo Smarty Party, and as his name suggests a smart 7 mths red brindle d who makes a super shape on the stack with a good length of body, clean underline and level topline, broad rump and enough muscling on the hindquarters, when he did settle he moved out freely with good drive SY (1) 1 Williams Rozamie Tiger Feet 19mth brindle d who is a smart mover covering the ground freely and easily, He is well angulated front and rear, with good ribbing and developed keel. I would have liked a better shape to his muzzle L (0) O (1) 1 and BOB Williams Lokmadi Call Me Louis Rozamie a handsome 3.5 yr brindle d, stands well on strong bone with good carriage, conical head with almond eye and high set ears, well developed in keel good feet and close fitting elbows, firm topline to well angulated quarters and moving out smartly and soundly around the ring,

DACHSHUND (LH) P(1) 1 and BOB, BP Riseboroughs AbyDezi Stand In the Light a 9 mth red b in lovely coat and condition and presenting a pleasing outline, attractive head with dark eye and close fitting lips, moderate length of neck and enough lay of shoulder with a firm topline and well angulated quarters, movement was a little hard to assess as she was more interested in the smells on the ground SY, L and O no entries

DACHSHUND (SH) P, SY and L No entries O (2) two really super dogs here with the winner just edging ahead in attitude and showmanship 1 and BOB Gaskins IR CH Dovestream Who Killkenny IR JCH b/t d with gorgeous head and eye, muscular neck into a good lay of shoulder, well ribbed body with tidy underline allowing for good ground clearance, strong well angulated quarters used to advantage on the move, liked him a lot 2 and RBOB Gaskins IR CH Hampdach I Am The One And Only, red d, again with so much to like, excellent topline and broad muscled hindquarters used to propel him forward with good rear drive.

DACHSHUND (WH) P (0) SY (2) 1 and BOB Baldwins Aventine The Squire 22 mths wilddboar d and such a smart boy on the move, great head and eyebrows with well shaped eyes, arched neck into good shoulders, firm level topline and tidy underline, well angulated in the rear and really moving out well with good rear action, not in his best coat but the best mover in this entry 2 Hayes Ottnott Doreen Martha a pretty 18mth b with a good head shape, enough neck and a reasonable topline, not the hind angulation of the winner which showed through in her movement L (1) 1 Baldwin Aventine Joss Merlyn 3.5 yr wildboar d nicely made all through and such a lovely character, good skull shape and well set ears, moderate length of neck, good front and feet and well ribbed body, broad rump and enough muscling on hindquarters, carried himself well on the move O (1) 1 and RBOB Osbourne Derochaise Vincenzo Di Braego, presented in good coat, this 6 yr brindle dog has a super head and expression, good bone and well developed keel, just carrying a little too much weight which affected his topline but he did move out very well displaying good reach and drive

CHOWS P (1) 1 and BOB, BP Clares Norskovs Regal Smooth Contender At Benoleo (Imp Dnk) a really lovely example, this red d has much to admire, good head shape with clean dark eye, strong neck into good shoulders and standing straight and true in front on strong well boned foreleg and rounded feet, slight angulation to the rear and standing on strong parallel hocks, moved true with total soundess. Pleased to award him UPG4 later in the day SY (1) Markillie Kingrock Blue Steel smooth coated blue with not quite the bone of the younger dog but a pleasing overall shape with a strong neck, compact body, firm topline and standing on neat feet, moved soundly with short strides

DALMATIANS P (1 abs) SY (1) 3 1 and BOB and UG3 Penns Dalarisa Spring In Her Step a lightly spotted 12mth b that I have judged before. She has such a clean and balanced outline with a feminine head and high set well used ears, good length of neck and stands true in front on tight cat feet, body is well ribbed with an excellent topline and shapely hindquarters, sound and accurate on the move 2 Stubbins Perditas Bean A Stormy Ride a pretty and feminine black b with an attractive head and well set ears, lovely neck into good shoulders, deep chested with ribcage carried well back and a level topline to slightly sloping croup, lots to like here but not as accurate in front movement as the winner today 3 Reads Makificate Wymondham Queen L (1) and RBOB Stubbins Perditas Aurelia a heavy spotted black b who presents a pleasing and balanced outline, she stands on straight moderately boned forelegs with a good depth of chest but I would like a little more fill in front, body is well ribbed and she holds a good topline both stacked and on the move and went smoothly around the ring O(2,1) 1 Penns Dalfellin Agape At Dalarisa 4 yr b with a feminine head and lovely eye,

POODLE (Mins) P (3,1) 1 and RBOB, BP, BRBOB and PG3 Dumont Raeannes Mai Tai For Sirensong small but perfectly formed ! This is a beautiful pup with a gorgeous head and eye, elegant neck and compact body with balanced angulation front and rear, very light on her feet, liked her a lot 2 Walkers Raeannes Black Velvet brother of the winner and of correct size but slightly longer cast, he has a good length of head and dark eye, straight forelegs and good feet, not as together on the move as the winner SY (0) L (2) 1 Fleetcrofts Karocolin Black Diamond black d with a balanced outline, elongated head and long low ears, straight front, short backed with a good depth of chest, better on the move than 2 Percy Lord Of The Barn At Trunch an orange d who didn’t really have his head in the game today, stacked up ok to show reasonable angles front and rear, good head with almond eye and enough neck length, rather unsettled on the move and roaching his topline slightly O (2,1) 1 and BOB Walkers Raeannes Hidden Liaison a handsome well presented male with a good length of head, lovely dark eye and well fitting lips, long neck into good shoulders, compact body with a good depth of chest, muscular hindquarters and a good bend of stile, moved out smoothly and easily.

POODLE (Standard) P (0) SY (1,abs) L (3,2abs) 1 and BOB Fleetcrofts All Over Again and exuberant 3.5 yr black dog, pleasing for size and overall shape, good length of head and enough neck, straight forelegs to small tight feet, rather exuberant on the move and I would have liked a better topline O (1,abs)

TIBETAN SPANIEL P (2,abs SY (1) 1 and BOB Brandricks Gianni Itspetticoattayles Among Lillinca a really lovely b with an attractive head, good stop and well set expressive eyes, moderate length of neck and good height to length rations, I loved her attitude on the move as she went freely around the ring, just lacking a little coat today which cost her in the group but still a worthy BOB today L (2,1) Brandricks 1 Yllastel Once Last Dance To Lillinca 6 yr b who has a very pleasing outline, good head shape with moderate stop and enough width to jaw, short strong neck and good body proportions, moved true all ways O (2) 1 and RBOB Colletts Velrok Ringing Gold JW rising 3, this d has a nicely balanced outline, masculine head with lovely dark eye, well laid shoulders and a good depth of chest, moderately angulated in the rear with strong hocks and moved out with accuracy 2 Brandricks Lillinca Bees Bliss 4.5 yr b presented in super coat and featherings, good height to length ratios with well sprung ribs and a firm topline, moves out with good tail carriage, I just referred the front action of the winner today.

TIBETAN TERRIER P (2) 1 and BP, PG2 Laffling Taxiki Causin’ Chaos 7mth b/w d, smart pup with lovely well furnished head and large dark eye giving a friendly expression, almost square in outline with a good topline, moved out with confidence and good carriage 2 Hayes and Lay-Flurrie Gser Jinpa Namkha To Gajarkot 8 mth sable/w b a pretty girl who is also almost square in outline and carrying a beautiful coat and furnishings, good front and topline but not as smooth on the move as the winner today SY (1) 1 Thomas Kelmorespitz Bad Habits 23mth b who I have judged before, pleasing in outside with a good head and dark eye, moderate length of neck into well laid shoulders, well furnished forelegs and a good depth of chest, moved out soundly but was just rolling her topline today L (2) 1 Buckes Karshok Amra Jetsang 2 yr b/w d, quite a tall boy but square in outline with a beautifully presented coat, slightly arched neck into good shoulders and a firm topline with short strong loin, moved out with good reach and drive 2 Thomas Kelmorespitz Smokin’ Storm 3.5 yr b/t d presented in full coat and furnishings, balanced in outline with a good head and moderate stop, strong neck of moderate length into well laid shoulders, firm topline and well bent stifles, I have seen him move better than he did today O (2) 1 and BOB UG2 Rudderhams Dejaru Masquerade JW 2.5 yr b/w d, a quality dog of sound construction all through, the best of heads with large dark eye and well feathered ears, arched neck into a good lay of shoulder, lithe and muscular torso with a firm level topline and well angulated quarters, an effortless and easy mover, presented in abundant coat and featherings 2 and RBOB Thomas Kelmorespitz Path Finding Magic rising 6 this dog makes a pleasing shape on the stack, he stands true in front on straight forelegs and slightly sloping pastern he has a good depth of chest, body is well ribbed with a deep chest and level topline, moved out well in profile

AVNSC UTILITY P (6,1) 1 and BP, UPG1 and RBPIS Timms F/Bulldog Olijah Going In Deep a cracking pup with the most gorgeous head and expression, short strong neck and good width in front with forelegs well apart, cobby body just right for his age, moved out freely and very well together for one so young, I loved him ! 2 Roses Bulldog Mystyle Keane 9mth d, pushed the winner all the way, a really lovely pup with a good sized skull and open nostrils, strong neck and plenty of width between the forelegs, compact body with good ribbing, very sound displaying typical bulldog movement 3 Gillmans Lhasa Mytilene Hotshot SY (2,1) Timms F/Bulldog Olijah Dare To Dream L (1,1) O (3,1) 1 and BAVNSC and UG1 Gillmans Lhasa Bellellen Magic Mike With Mytilene JW 6 yr gold d immaculately presented and stacked up nicely to show off his super outline, excellent neck and topline, straight forelegs, firm topline and well developed in the rear, moved out freely 2 Timms F/Bulldog Olijah Fully Loaded, a cobby brindle/w with a compact outline, good head, dark eye and open nostrils, forelegs straight and strong and set well apart, compact body and muscular loin, I have judged her before and liked her but I still feel she could strengthen a tad behind

AV OPEN (13,9) 1 CBR Oakmarsh Indian Dream Maker, a breed I have always admired and this girl is a lovely specimen, broad head with well set ears and good eye colour, strong neck and standing true on straight forelegs and strong pasterns, well ribbed body with muscular hindquarters, moved out with good driving action, coat could be a fraction more oily but overall a lovely example of this breed 2 Field Spaniel Fecimus Repeat The Rumour an attractive liver b with a very nice outline, feminine head with almond eye and long feathered ears, strong bone and good feet, moved out soundly holding her shape 3 Mastiff Womlu Worth The Wait With Heffalump DJW24 BW24 Lux/Ned JCH
