The first of 2 days judging here, thank you to the society for the invitation and to my stewards for their assistance today.

Isle of Ely AV Post grad stakes (38,18) 1 Valhallabears Just In Time Newfoundland , I absolutely loved this brown b, her shape, her movement, the whole package was one of balance and strength but without losing femininity, she stands on strongly boned forelegs and good sized feet, body is well ribbed with a level topline to strong well angulated quarters and she moved with a powerful but easy drive looking particularly good in side profile. 2 Breezelyn Ears A Breakthrou For Alepenkye Pumi, This 3 yr b was my BOB at Leeds in 2024 and she is a great example of the breed, she has good head proportions with well set mobile ears, lovely dark eye and a strong neck, presents in good coat and move out briskly 3 Blamorder Double Or Quits of Oakstelle, Smooth Collie

IRISH RED AND WHITE SETTERS A lovely entry on paper but sadly with 60% absent P (2,1) 1 and BP Jakins Baltic Turn The Page 6mth b who is very raw but lots to like even at this age, a pretty girl with pleasing head proportions and dark eye, long neck into well laid shoulders, level topline to well angulated quarters and moving out with confidence, handled well to get the best from her J (1,1) PG (2,1) 1 and BOB McDonald Westwood and Westwood’s Roanjora Cremant De Savoie Avec Eusanit JW a smart and upstanding 18 mth d with a certain ring presence, handsome head and a super neck , deep brisket and strong loin, rich coat colour and covering the ground with good drive, I loved his stance and slight elegance which kept catching my eye and was pleased to award him BOB today in this small but quality entry. O (4,2) 1 and RBOB titleMcDonald’s Roanoke’s Cremant D’Alsace JW sister of the BOB and so feminine in outlook, she has an attractive head with clean muzzle and lovely dark eye, strong muscular neck into a good lay of shoulder, excellent rib cage and topline and effortless on the move 2 Taylor’s Laoirebay Monte Carlo a strongly made all male yr d, head has good strength with dark eye and well set ears, strong neck, deep chest and well bend stifles, in profile his movement is long striding and powerful but just a little weak in hocks.

CHESAPEAKE BAY RETRIEVERS P (0) J (2) 1 Watts and Mellersh-Tetts Oakmarsh Land Of Promise a well constructed b with enough bone who was well muscled all through, good head with bright eye and neat well set ears, strong neck with enough width and depth of chest for her age and a firm level topline to well angulated quarters, her strong rear movement won her the class 2 Watts Oakmarsh Little Acorn litter sister to the winner slightly longer cast, head has width to skull and she stands on well boned forelegs and good feet, body is well ribbed and balanced in front and rear angulation, just not as settled on the move as the winner PG (3) 1 Watts Oakleaf Manor Bay Of Oakmarsh (imp Deu) 18 mth sedge b strong head with broad skull and well placed eyes but lacking a little femininity, muscular neck to well placed shoulders and standing true with forelegs well under her, well sprung ribs and a good depth of chest, another fit and muscled exhibit who moved out with good drive 2 Oakmarsh Land Of Promise 3 Ponts Amore Of Ridsome (imp Ita) O(3,1) 1 and BOB Mahon-Hunns, Middleton and Haskins Susqudilla Berrgelle Big Apple (imp USA) I gave this 18mth d a group placing some 4 months ago and liked him very much then, today I can see how much he has matured on, he has a strong head with width to skull and neat ears, muscular neck into a good lay of shoulder, he stands on well boned forelegs and good sized feet, body is well conditioned with a good spring of rib and deep chest and hindquarters are strong and muscular with good angulation allowing him to move with good drive, presented in a thick waterproof coat, he could still settle a little in front movement but overall he is an impressive dog who should easily gain his title 2 RBOB Ponts Sh Ch Oakmarsh Dancing Diva VW a quality 8 yr b who is in super hard condition, feminine head but still with width to skull and small neat ears, she has a strong neck and is well boned all through, deep in body with a strong topline and excellent angulation front and rear, close up for the class but just slightly down on her pasterns today.

P (6) 1 and BP Rogers Eusanit Redora a 7 mth b, very pretty and nicely balanced, she has a lovely almond eye and well set ears, good length of neck into well laid shoulders and nicely angulated in the rear, presented in good coat and very sound and accurate on the move, thought she was a really nice example. 2 Collins and Powleys Danehaven Lagrande I loved the head on this girl and she has a super head and bright intelligent expression, standing true in front on padded feet, body is developing nicely and she has a firm topline and good hind angulation, a little unsettled on the move today but lots to like 3 Westwood’s Traveldas Genevieve Pine Avec Eusanit (imp USA) J (7,3) 1 and RBOB Westwood and McDonalds Eusanit Loved and Lost a handsome young man with a lovely clean head and super well used ears, strong neck into well laid shoulders and well muscled in the rear with a good bend of stifle which he put to good use moving soundly with reach and drive 2 Testers Gingafing Best Best Of You a medium size b, nicely balanced with a pleasing head and expression , she stands true in front on strong pasterns and good feet, not the bone of the winner but so sound on the move with good tail carriage 3 Westwood and McDonald Eusanit What The Fuggle Roanjora PG (8,1) 1 Eusanit What The Fuggle Roanjora, I liked this pretty 14 month b in the last class but thought she could do with a fraction more neck, however here she outmoved everything in the class with her sound and springy action coupled with good drive to gain what I understood was her final JW point congratulation ! 2 Collins and Powney Danehaven Madeleine presented in good coat this 4 yr b won her place on her movement, not quite the balance of the winner but with strong loin and topline and moving soundly with strong rear action 3 Testers Gingafing Forget Me Not O (6) What a cracking class this was, really splitting hair between the placings 1 1 and BOB Collins and Powneys Deveron Duchness Of Danehaven, an absolutely super 6 yr b who I was surprised to find untitled ! She has everything I was looking for portraying good balance, a compact well muscled body and a super coat, an attractive girl with a lovely head and eye giving a friendly and intelligent expression, medium length of neck into good shoulders and standing on straight forelegs and tight feet, so sound on the move particularly impressive in side gait which showed off her excellent reach and drive, I loved her. 2 Rogers Eusanit Peaky Blinder, A 6 yr old d with a rich coat colour who reminds me of the old fashioned type you used to see, he presents a nicely balanced picture with good bone and substance, head is masculine and he is well angulated fore and aft, covers the ground well in profile with sound jaunty movement but just a close behind on the away 3 Westwood’s Ir Sh Ch Eusanit Proper Job JW

BOXERS P (2,1) 1 and BP Slaneys Ellcrys Hephaestus At Slanstorm 11mth brindle/white d, compact in outline with a handsome head and strong neck, straight well boned forelegs but feet could be better, good depth of chest and good tuck up, I would have liked a little more hind angulation, moved ok when settled J (2,1) 1 Slaneys Normybox Monkey Man At Slanstorm 11mth d who I wouldn’t want any bigger, masculine head which is well developed with width and depth to muzzle and dark eye, strong clean neck and enough angulation in front, good depth of chest and slight slope to topline, movement was rather erratic PG (2) 1 and RBOB Slaneys Slanstorm Time Traveller red b presented in fit and muscular condition, rather weak in head and lacking depth of muzzle, body is nicely compact and she has good width and depth to chest, strong slightly sloping topline to muscular thighs and well angulated quarters, moved out freely with good reach and drive 2 Smiths Slanstorm Supernatural Dean r/w d well grown O (3,1) 1and BOB Smiths Slanstorm Supernatural Sam a very nice brindle b who could do very well if she can get it together on the stack, in muscular condition with a feminine head although I would have liked a fraction more length of muzzle, muscular slightly arched neck into good shoulders, she has an excellent front and stands on straight well boned forelegs and strong pasterns, good depth of chest and firm topline sloping slightly towards well angulated quarters, moved out with good drive, liked her a lot
