Woolwich, Bexley & District Canine Association - Open Show 7/12/25.


Thank you to the Officers and committee for inviting me to judge, my stewards for looking after me, and all the exhibitors for their entries I had a fabulous day.


Bulldog


Class 132 - Open (2/1)


1st - Anscombe’s - CH Blenhiemstar’s Talisman of Jargon JW ShCExOSW, Evenly marked red & white dog, full of substance and power with strong bone, great head piece with broad square & flat skull, nice broad muzzle to match skull, open nostrils, well defined stop, well placed dark eyes, rose ears of perfect size set well all adding up to a wonderful masculine head and expression, Strong arched neck into correct shoulder, straight forelegs strong pasterns, tidy feet, deep wide forechest, well rounded rib carried well back, correct toppling with slight arch over the loin, neat tail correctly set, muscular quarters with strong well let down hocks. Covers the ground well all in balance with the typical rolling Bulldog gait. Stood on his own today but was happy to award him the open class, BOB & Utility group 4.

Class 145 - Puppy (9/6)


1st - Spanias - Chow Chow - Charids Queen of Hearts - Beautiful feminine red/fawn bitch, square outline & shown in tip top condition, pleasing head and expression with correct pigmentation and dark eyes, correct bite, straight front assembly, neat feet, level top line, well ribbed and short coupled, tail over back, and strong quarters stood proud and strong, moved straight and true, Best AVNSC Puppy & Utility Puppy group 1.


2nd - Elvidge & Webb’s - Tibetan Terrier - Waterley Sweet Inspiration - Black with white markings, lovely head and expression, dark eyes, correct bite, straight front, super silhouette, correct angles front and rear, sound as a pound on the move covering the ground with free flowing easy strides, lost out today on maturity I’m sure she has plenty more to come.


Class 146 - Junior (6/20


1st - Nicholls - Akita - Kendartic Nobodies fool for Shyllar - Tall upstanding young bitch - Dark mask, Grey with white on body, deep dark eyes, ears set and used well. Correct bite, long neck into correct shoulder, straight front, excellent strong bone and neat tidy feet, correct top line and tail set, moved straight and true, she has a lot to offer and will only get better in time just losing out on maturity in the challenge, Reserve best AVNSC.


2nd - Roti’s - German Spitz Mittel - Lindcoly feeling Fizzy - Beautifully proportioned black bitch, super dark eye, correct bite, ears of good size and shape set and used well, lovely front, correct length of body and strong top line correct tail set good rear angles, covered the ground well both coming and going.


Class 147 - Post Graduate (3/2)


1st - Wright’s - Shiba Inu - Chikamichi Go From Hachmantai to Sealandair (Imp MNE) - Black & tan dog, Ears of good shape and size, dark eyes, correct bite, good reach of neck into correct shoulder, straight front, good proportions of withers height to length of back, tail set and carried well, muscled quarters, moved true with sound steady strides, not quite the finish and sparkle of the top winners today.


Class 148 - Open (8/4)


1st - Hill- Lonergan & Duff’s - Lhasa apso - Jodak’s Party All Night with Barnlou - Beautifully presented cream white bitch, Super head qualities, with well placed dark eyes, ears set well, correct length of muzzle and correct bite, well arched neck, into correct shoulder, good rib carried well back, strong level top line, tail set and carried well, strong muscled rear, unsurprisingly covered the ground with free jaunty movement, showed her socks off all day, Best AVNSC & Utility group 3.


2nd - Roti’s - German Spitz Mittel.

Class 149 - Open (2/1)


1st - Wallace & Cassidy’s - Xoloitzcuintle (Miniature) - Well proportioned red hairless dog, Lovely wedge shaped head, dark eyes, ears of good shape and size set well although he was reluctant to show them off, dark pigment to nose, regular bite, good reach of neck into well placed shoulder, straight front, correct top line and tail set, good rear angles, a cold drafty hall not the best conditions for this boy to show at his best stood still, but on the move he carried himself well, I liked him a lot and would have liked to judge him on a warmer day as he has great potential. Best AV Imported register.

Class 150 - Puppy (8/6)


1st - Spanias - Chow Chow - Charids Queen of Hearts.


2nd - Gardner’s - Shidizzle Mustang Sally - Shih Tzu - Red & white bitch , well presented, in her puppy coat, lovely head and expression with deep dark round eyes, beautiful feminine expression, correct bite, nice open black nose, lovely overall proportions and sound as a pound on the move, lots more to come as she matures I’m sure.


Class - 151 - Junior (4/1)


1st - Beer’s - Miracey Miss Holy Berry - Shih Tzu - Red and white bitch, in good coat for such a youngster, super head piece with deep dark eyes set well, correct bite, correct neck into well laid shoulders, good strong well boned front, well ribbed with strong top line and correct tail set, strong rear quarters moved with free flowing strides pouring on from behind.


Class 152 - Post graduate - (2/1)


1st - Wright’s - Shiba Inu - Chikamichi Go From Hachimantai to Sealandair.


Class 153 - Open - (6/4)


1st - Roberts - Twybrook Noble Prince at Kogarths - Kooikerhondje, Well presented dog lovely head and expression, dark eyes correct bite, good length of neck into correct shoulder, straight front, correct top line and tail set correct rear angles, when he settled and his handler got him moving correctly he covered the ground with easy free flowing true movement, a happy dog easily distracted but did just enough to take this class.


2nd - Elvidge & Webb’s - Araki Hug My Panda - Tibetan Terrier, Black & white bitch, nice head and expression, dark eye and pigments, correct bite, good overall proportions and balance to her body outline, moved with free flowing gait, this was a tough decision between these two dogs.


Class 154 - Veteran (5/3)


1st - Pace - Dalcatori Morganite Rosa Del Bronndelvcede - Dalmatian, Elegant bitch with lovely even spotting and symmetry in body lines, feminine head with dark eyes and pigments, correct bite, longneck into well placed shoulder, straight front, tidy feet, good spring of rib, strong top line and coupling, correct tail set, strong rear quarters, moved with style and a free flowing gait. Best AV Utility.


2nd - Healey, Healey & Wheaton’s - Hebemor Ruby Tiger from Acinonyx JW - Dalmatian, Another quality bitch, larger in stature and carrying more power in head and frame, slightly longer in body than 1st, straight in front, good rear angles and correct tail set, moved with drive and purpose.


Utility Group Adult


Group 1 - Barnett’s - Salvadorada Happy Go Lucky - Dalmatian - Beautiful feminine black spotted bitch, super head and expression, dark eyes and pigments, correct bite, ears of good shape and size set well, long strong neck into well placed shoulder, straight front, tidy feet, good fore chest with deep well sprung rib correct top line strong loin and well angled strongly muscled quarters, correct tail set, unsurprisingly she covered the ground with a free flowing gait straight and true viewed from every angle, with a strong top line and perfect tail carriage, presented and handled perfectly. I understand she went on to gain RBIS I’m not surprised as she is a cracker.


Group 2 - Gill & Hamlin’s - Demorace Belle Starr at Simberfour - Boston Terrier - well marked medium sized brindle and white bitch, super square head with muzzle depth and width to match her skull, ears of good shape and size set and used well, dark round eye, all adding up to a beautiful expression, correct bite, good reach of neck into correct shoulder, straight front, tidy feet, good depth to fore chest, with nice round rib, correct level top line & tail set, strong quarters, she covers the ground with ease and style, very promising young bitch.

Utility Group Puppy


Puppy Group 1 - Spanias - Chow Chow - Charids Queen of Hearts.


Puppy Group 2 - Sandells - Dolce Vita Selection Dragon Tail with Shawmut (Imp ITA) - Boston Terrier, Well marked smaller sized dark brindle and white bitch, super overall out line square and tidy in body, ears set and used well, dark round eye, nice open nose, correct bite, feminine in head with some maturing to do, good length of neck into correct shoulder, straight front, tidy feet, correct top line and tail set, good strength and angles to her rear quarters, she covers the ground straight and true, very much a baby I will watch her future with interest.
