I would like to thank the Committee for the invitation to judge at this well-run open show and also thanks to my able steward Jane. I had a good entry for a weekday show and some quality dogs which made for tight decisions in some breeds.
Spanish Water dogs:

Puppy none
Junior. (1). 1st Abrahams Fivenineplus azhara by Adornmidera, black girl of 15 months, clipped coat but still retaining rustic look and texture, head still developing but lovely dark eye and expression, nice open nostrils and good ear placement, short neck leading to good shoulders and upper arm, with close elbows, holds good topline on the move and tail set good. Promising youngster.
Post grad(4). 1st Searles Adormidera apache rose at Cravessa, mature girl of good proportions and balance. Nice feminine head of parallel planes, kind eye, good height to length ratio, moderately angled hindquarters with good hocks, well muscled up, rustic coat. Moved out well. 2nd Donaldsons Prizelands tickle my fancy, presents a lovely shape and outline, feminine head and expressive eyes, strong neck, deep chest and good ribs, well made rear and moved with drive, also rustic coat of good texture, very close up to 1. 3rd Fivenineplus a by a, lost out on maturity to the first 2.
Open (3, 1a) Lovely class, really splitting hairs here. 1st and BOB Donaldsons Zorrazo alter bridge at Prizelands IMP HRV, stunning lad, presented a lovely outline, well balanced, handsome head of good proportions with level parallel planes,kind eye, strong neck, good height to length ratios, deep chest, strong topline, moved with drive, in great coat and condition. 2nd and Res BOB Searles Rommy de Ubbadat JW IMP ESP, one I judged as a puppy and was pleased to see her again, still has cheeky personality, well balanced all through, feminine pretty head, soft kind eye, correct body proportions, deep chest and well ribbed, strong rear and hocks, woolly rustic coat, moved with enthusiasm but today I just preferred the tailset of 1st and his more positive movement but so close up. 3rd Abrahams Adormidera Ziggy stardust, veteran dog who completed a quality trio.
Hungarian Viszlas:
Very mixed types overall.
Puppy(1).1st and BPIB Savage Silvestre Plum hollow, raw but promising girl, feminine head, good earset and eye, needs to develop in chest but presents a balanced outline for age, well laid shoulders, short back,level topline, moved well, pleased to see she won PG4.
Junior(2). 1st and Res BOB Woodcocks Glengamna Malbec, Impressive lad, handsome head, good front with plenty of forechest , well balanced through body, level topline, moved with purpose. Well muscled up. 2nd Winkworth and Woodcocks Silvestre fit as a fiddle, presents a classic outline, well balanced all through, feminine head with kind expression, shoulders well laid, level topline, well muscled and moved well. Just preferred forechest of 1st today but close decision.
Post grad(3,2a) 1st Coxs Nicael Christmas holly, has slightly heavier head than other girls here today but still balanced with nice eye and expression, correct dentition, holds pleasing outline but would like elbows to be closer but has enough chest and good ribs. Short strong back, good rear.Moved ok and shown in good condition.
Open (5,2a) 1st and BOB Wallingtons SH CH/Multi ch Nicael blue diamond among Ohanava VW, Impressive 8 year old girl, still in her prime, won today on her overall balance and outline, lean, noble feminine head with lovely expression, strong neck leading to well made front and rear, deep chest and well ribbed, strong second thigh, moved with grace. Afterwards I learned this win gave her the Open show excellent award so congratulations. 2nd St Romaines Menzet kincse true savannah for Szentromai IMP HUN, for me bit finer than 1st and not quite as positive on move, but still balanced. Lean feminine head, good neck and shoulders,short back, pleasing body proportions, well muscled up. Tight feet. 3rd Joyces Ranchstar Vyvyan VW
English Setters;
Puppy(2). 1st and BPIB Watkins Albadora totally yours for Valsett, absolutely adorable pup in lovely coat and condition, presented an elegant, clean outline, so well balanced, pretty feminine head with soft expression, good length of neck leading to well laid shoulders, body developing nicely for age, well muscled second thighs, nice tight feet, moved out well and pipped her litter brother for BP as more collected today but I expect they swap places. 2nd Reids Diersett moon of the skies, just 6 months old and at her first show, lost out of maturity to 1st but a promising baby with lots to like. Feminine head with expressive eyes and low ear set, also holds compact and balanced outline, well made through forequarters to rear and presented in lovely bloom, moved out well holding head high. Happy girl.
Junior(2) 1st Pearsons Bournehouse augustus at Yessandi, handsome blue belton lad, masculine head of correct proportions, long neck leading to well laid shoulders and deep chest, strong bone and well muscled rear, presented in good coat, little unsteady on the move at times but a nice exhibit. 2nd Neaths Albadora total madness, litter brother to BP and definitely a masculine version of her. Handsome well balanced head, good through body and well boned for age, holds compact outline and in great coat, but lost to sister on movement today.
PG (2) 1ST and Res BOB, McLoughlins Arabin love maybe, feminine head,kind eye and expression with low ear sets, more mature through body than 2nd place, long neck, deep chest, loins wide with slight arch over leading to set on tail, move with grace and drive, in lovely bloom. 2nd B Augustus at Y.
Open (1) 1st and BOB, Cooks Pernickety Quartz, not as flashy on initial look as some of the others here due to her markings but hands on shows a quality girl. Feminine head and soft eye. Well proportioned all through, moves with head held high and with elegance, good reach of neck, well laid shoulders and depth of chest. well boned and muscled up, strong hocks and tight feet. Silky coat.
GSP: 4 entered and what a quality 4 they were.
Puppy, (2) 1st and BPIB, Brown and Filbys Desjiem rebel rebel, super puppy full of breed type, presents lovely picture of balance, clean cut feminine head, soft eye, good neck leading to well placed shoulders and good upper arm, deep chest and ribs, well muscled rear with strong hocks, moved power and grace. 2nd Beresfords Tuptonsett true spirit, older girl, for me a little rangier and longer than 1st, Feminine head, clean cut with wide nostrils, soft eyes, deep chest and good shoulders, tad long in loin, well boned and well muscled up. Strong thighs and hocks. Moved with purpose.
Junior and PG no entries.
Open (2) What a class, 2 very worthy champions and was tight decision between them.
1st BOB Heath and Robinsons Sh Ch Pinseeker pep guardoila JW, took my eye with his classic outline, noble and showing power, Handsome clean cut balanced head, good nose and lips, lovely expression, good neck leading to well made front and rear, so well balanced all through, strong second thigh and hocks, moved with purpose and drive. Certainly fit for function. 2nd and Res BOB, Brown and Filbys Sh Ch Winterwell that’ll do for Desjiem JW, Unlucky to meet 1 today but I expect they have changed places many times, again presents elegant and classic outline, lovely feminine head and eye, good neck leading to well laid shoulders and deep chest, holds firm topline, strong rear with well muscled thighs, moved out well but not quite the attitude of 1st today but close up. See she is mum to BP, so passing on her type. Thanks for bringing these lovely dogs.
