Class A – Special Award Special Yearling

1st – Bowen’s Thandiwe Invisible String Around Clandrift

A young bitch of pleasing type, showing excellent overall balance and breed character. Feminine head with correct proportions, well-defined stop, and lovely dark, almond-shaped eyes giving a soft, kind expression. Neck of moderate length, flowing cleanly into well-laid shoulders. Chest already showing good depth for age, ribs well-sprung, and back of correct length to allow scope in movement. Topline firm on the move, tail well-set and carried in line with the back. Hindquarters strong with moderate turn of stifle, enabling free and effortless stride. Coat flat, glossy, and well-groomed – a promising future ahead.

2nd – Harris’s Thandiwe Mirrorball

Litter brother to my class winner and is another quality youngster with plenty to commend. Attractive headpiece with balanced skull-to-muzzle ratio and pleasing, gentle eye. Good reach of neck into shoulders, though not quite the same smooth transition as 1st today. Body developing well with adequate depth and length, strong bone throughout. Hindquarters well-muscled, giving sound drive, though front movement was slightly less fluid than the winner. Coat neat and of correct texture with moderate feathering. Time should bring additional strength and ring presence.

3 Orzel’s Sonnetand Made to Measure for Braxton

Class B – Special Award Limit

1st – Hardings ‘ Kingsmist Remember Me JW

A balanced, soundly made Field Spaniel, combining substance with a touch of elegance. Classic head with dark hazel eyes, low-set ears of correct length, and clean lips. Shoulders well laid, allowing good reach in forequarters. Excellent depth of brisket and strong ribbing with level topline maintained on the move. Hindquarters muscular and well-angled, producing strong drive. Coat in prime condition – flat, glossy, and close-lying. Moved with the characteristic free, ground-covering stride.

2nd – Porter and Russell’s Bogdogs Brynnmith At Winsbrook

A pleasing type and outline, slightly longer in loin than the winner but still balanced. Masculine head without coarseness, good breadth of skull, and kindly expression. Neck of fair length into strong shoulders, though front assembly not quite as clean as 1st. Topline level, tail carriage correct, and hindquarters well-developed, producing purposeful movement. Coat straight and flat with ample feathering. A quality dog who gave a good account of himself but could not quite match the front extension of the winner today.

Class C – Special Award Open

1st –Moore’s Sh Ch Elgert China Girl

A mature and accomplished bitch who epitomises the breed standard. Beautifully proportioned outline – balanced, strong, and elegant without exaggeration. Feminine head with depth and breadth, well-shaped dark hazel eyes giving a gentle, intelligent expression. Neck clean, flowing into correctly placed shoulders. Well-sprung ribs, level topline, and strong loin. Hindquarters powerful with excellent angulation, producing effortless ground-covering stride. Coat flat, glossy, and superbly presented with feathering of correct texture and length. A worthy champion displaying the breed’s classic combination of nobility and workmanlike capability.

2nd Hazzel’s Sh Ch Nadavin Expectation of Vraibleu

0

Another quality champion, slightly different in style to 1st but still very much within breed type. Well-balanced head, correct ear set, and strong underjaw. Neck and shoulders well-constructed; body deep with level topline and correct proportions. Hindquarters strong and well-developed, with sound movement, though on the day lacking the same fluidity and reach of the winner. Forequarters well-boned and straight. Coat flat and close, well-feathered, and in excellent condition. A stylish and sound example who pushed hard for the top spot..
