I would like to thank the committee of The West of England Bull Terrier Club for inviting me to judge Bull Terriers at there Open Show. It was a really friendly show and everyone seemed to be enjoying it. The committee work really hard to make it enjoyable and successful for all. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors who entered under me. These days the entries are a lot lower but the quality is still there. A thank you also goes to both my stewards who kept the ring flowing and me on track.

1st Mr P Tate “Admiral Comet”

15 mth White bull type male, with two black ears. Powerful well filled head with good width to muzzle, small eye, strong underjaw, correct mouth, strong neck going into good lay of shoulders, straight front, good bend of stifle, correct tail set, cat like feet, I would like a little more weight on him but I understand he had been ill and was getting back into condition. Move well once his novice handler settled his nerves. RBD

1st Mrs Emily Davies “Kirkville Succession”

White bull type male with gentle profile, lacks a little between the eyes, correct mouth, erect ears, strong neck, gun barrel chest, deep brisket, good front, powerful hindquarters with good bend of stifle. Plenty of bone. Tight feet Kept top on the move.

2nd Mr & Mrs D & J Bownes “Starcinco A Million Dreams at Bownesbulls”

White bull type male with one brindle ear, very similar to 1st. Gentle turn to profile, lacks a little fill, ears on top and held erect, straight front, deep brisket, powerful hindquarters. Prefared the shorter back on 1st. Moved a little close behind.

1st Mr J W Sheehy “Kenleap Brutus for Afanbull”

Cobby Brindle and White male, strong prowerful head, with width and dept to muzzle with good underjaw, small deep set eyes, with small ears, making for a good expression. Strong powerful neck, gun barrel chest with excellent spring of ribs, short back, with good tuck up. Plenty of bone, feet could be tighter. I would of liked a tab more length of leg. Moved a little wide in front but held top line. In tip top condition. BD, BOS

2nd Mrs & Mr J S & K S Pope “Razorsedge Berry Lane at Tegenbull”

Terrier type White male with brindle ear and eye patch. Long head with gentle profile and good roman finish, small eye, ears bang on top, making for a good expression, correct mouth. Strong neck going into a good lay of shoulders, Deep chest, straight front, I would of like a bit more spring of rib, slight long in back. Good bend of stifle, good tail set, nice feet. Held top line on the move. Handled well

1st Miss & M T & D Hoskins & Mitchell “Villensia Wildest Dreams”

Well made White male with brindle ear, muscling head with finish, lacks a little under the eye. Deep small eye, ears a little wide, strong neck going into good lay of shoulder, gun barrel chest, good front, plenty of bone, level top line which was held on the move, strong hindquarters with good bend of stifle. Turns feet out slightly.

1st Mr & Mrs L & E Adamson “Nevernight Masquerade”

10th Feminine White bitch with two brindle eye patches and a brindle ear. Long well filled egg shaped head with turn on lovely finish, correct mouth, small eye, erect ears giving a wicked expression. Long neck, deep chest, straight front, short back, strong hindquarters, with second thigh, something the breed seems to be missing at the moment, enough bend of stifle and tight feet, moved well. Would of liked a better tail carriage. RBB + BPIB

Sadly my dog grabbed my notes and by the time I managed to get them out of her mouth they were a soggy mess,and for some reason I did not get a photo of her, so the critique for this baby is from memory.

9th Mth Black brindle bitch with well filled head with good turn to profile, small eye and ears, correct mouth, lovely body lines, would of liked tighter feet .

1st Mr Adrian Mountain “Bilboen Wanderlust Opal”

Feminine White bitch with one black ear, long well filled head and good turn to profile, small eye, strong underjaw, correct mouth, long neck, well sprung ribs, deep brisket, gun barrel chest, a tad long in back. Strong hindquarters, good bend of stifle, correct tail set held top line on the moved. Moved a little close behind.

1st Mr A Berry “Villensia Visage”

Terrier type White bitch with one black ear. Long head with gentle profile with finish, lacks a little fill and width to muzzle, small wicked eye, ears erect and attentive, mouth ok, deep chest, level top line. Enough bone for size, lovely muscle to hindquarters, correct tail set. Moved well.

2nd Miss Rachel Davies “Napier’s Welsh Crumpet”

Red and White cobby type bitch. Long head with gentle turn to profile, would like a little more width to muzzle, dark eye, nice body lines, plenty of round bone would of liked a tad more length to leg, tight feet, moved well.

1st Mr L & R Cheek “Topfuel Tango”

Top quality Red and White bitch who caught my eye as she walked into the ring. Well filled egg shaped head, with lovely turn and finish, small eye, ears on top making for a wicked expression, correct mouth, deep underjaw, long slender neck going into good lay of shoulders, deep brisket and gun barrel chest, level top line, which was held on the move, short back, rounded hindquarters, I would of liked a bit more bend of stifle, tight cat like feet. Moved well. BB, BOB, BIS
